• Samuel (9/5): Great stay in the heart of kolkata - The service of hotel holiday express goes beyond the stay. The staff even helped me to get a SIM Card and a pair of shoes for the gym. Also the food is very delicious and safe for foreigners. The cook does an excellent job.

• Ghosh (8/5): Overall nice stay. - Good things: (a) Staff conduct was very good. (b) Food was served promptly. (c) Hotel location, conveyance, etc were great (in the heart of the city). (d) Room & washroom were clean. Cons: (a) The cupboard door was defective and wouldn't close. (b) The trays on which food was served could have been cleaner. Same with the flask they used to send me tea (it was pretty dirty, and they changed it only after I pointed it). (c) During my 2-day stay, no one came for housekeeping. As I was travelling alone, it didn't matter much to me, though. When I asked them at checkout, they said they don't disturb guests and offer housekeeping (cleaning the washroom, changing the bedsheet, etc) only if asked by the guest. Fair enough, but they should have told me about this policy at check-in.

Staff are very polite. Specially who stay during day time. And Mr. Alam was very helpful person. Thankyou so much... It was the plesent stay... Would like to recommend highly....

• Ncos (9/5): Great hotel within walking distance of key Kolkata sights - Great hotel with fabulous, friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Clean bathroom and toilet, large double room. Well positioned for Park Street area and Mother Teresa Motherhouse. Approx. 35mins to Victoria Memorial. Staff really helpful on day of leaving when we needed to leave and collect our bags.

The location was good It was very noisy throughout the night, with loud music playing close by. If you’re a light sleeper then I’d probably stay elsewhere. The room was also very damp.
