Guest Reviews
- Nimalini (10/5): Best stay - They property is very clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly. They gave good concern on our health issues and made food for us as we want happily. Very good service overall. Very good view even though it’s very close by to town.
- Awanthi (9/5): -
- Ruth (9/5): Come stay for the view, good food and friendly helpful staff. - Amazing views overlooking tea plantation, just a short walk to main Road or Pekoe Trail. Stayed 2 nights, bright spacious room, comfortable bed/ pillows, lovely white crispy bed lined as with fluffy white towel, nice size bathroom hot water. Delicious dinner at reasonable price, free breakfast, ask for tea or coffee anytime, manager was very friendly and helpful, organised my backpack transported to next homestay.
Lovely upstairs terrace as with balcony to front. Window you can open for fresh air. Flat sheet kept moving exposing mattress.
- Yasir (9/5): - The villa offers an excellent view and very comfortable rooms. The lobby area is spacious and there many scenic places. Wished the villa had a heated pool
- Milan (J) (9/5): - The hospitality provided by the host was excellent and truly commendable. Overall, we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The host offers great value and ensures a welcoming experience.
However, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some facilities listed in the room details, such as the electric kettle and hair dryer, were not available during our stay. Additionally, the water pressure was slightly low and could be improved.
Despite this, the overall experience was good, mainly due to the host's exceptional service.
- Danielle (9/5): Ideal location with tremendous views, great hospitality, and access to the Pekoe Trail. - It was a bit of a climb to get to the White House but when we arrived we were welcomed by Nesham who made us tea and helped us settle in. The room met our expectations and dinner was delicious. The view from the balcony and the roof is outstanding. The White House is an excellent option if you enjoy hiking, as it meets both Pekoe stages 6 and 7. Because the building is an open concept and made from concrete, noise travels. Fortunately we had quiet neighbours because you could hear doors opening and closing in the morning and evening. But the hotel is new and a few wall hangings will definitely help the acoustics!
- Stuart (10/5): Perfect spot to have a budget friendly but luxury stay. - The clean bright space & excellent food.
- Judith-S (9/5): - Een vrij nieuw verblijf. De entree ziet er strak en modern uit. Het ligt buiten de drukte van het dorp, wat ik zelf wel fijn vind. De manager Nesham was erg behulpzaam.
Het bed was comfortabel, de douche heerlijk warm. Prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is goed.
- Anthony (10/5): Modern spacious hotel with exceptional views - We staged while on the Pekoe Trail. Our host Nesham was very welcoming and considerate to our needs. He made us a delicious dinner and breakfast too. The food was not too spicy and local Sri Lankan delicacies. The guest house is modern and comfortable and has a fantastic view over the town. It is a short walk into town where you can purchase most necessities. We highly recommend this guest house and would stay again. All good 👍
- Amanda (8/5): - Lovely place to rest for the night while hiking the Pekoe Trail. Very clean and cool rooms. Staff were very attentive and happy to assist with any requests, including catering for a vegan diet. Nesham was so helpful in organising safe transfer of our luggage to our next stop along the trail. Highly recommend! Water pressure in shower was a bit low but otherwise everything was fine!
- Peter (8/5): Modern new hotel, 10 mins walk from end of Stage 6 of Pekoe Trail. - Very modern new hotel. Comfortable and clean. Great balcony looking over the town.
Nesham is the star of this place. A really helpful guy. Thankyou, Nesham.
Breakfast was good, including a chip butty. Dinner was OK, but not the best.
- Peter (10/5): - Large, clean room with comfortable beds, great food and friendly staff. Nothing
- Radoslaw (10/5): Highly recommended, Nesham was a fantastic host/property manager. - I came to do a stage of Pekoe trail and the accommodation was perfect for that. Clean, spacious room, quite for the good night sleep. My host, Nesham, was very welcoming, helped me with all the details I needed help with (e.g. forgot my adapter, which he accommodated), took me to the trail head and literarily arranged all I asked for. Great service, highly recommended!
- Luisa Bu (8/5): - We stayed one night while walking the pekoe trail. The location of the hotel is ideally for that, and you have a very beautiful view over the village.
The dinner was super delicious and the staff very kind. We enjoyed our one night stay there. The bed sheets could have been a bit cleaner and the breakfast a bit richer.
- nimisha (9/5): Lovely place with a great host- highly recommend! - It is a lovely property with a great room and hot showers. The host Nesham is very attentive. I would have liked a more robust breakfast.
- Karral (10/5): - Modern, very clean.
Nesham was a wonderful host. Attentive and helpful.
Good food
Great views.
Convenient location after walking Stage 6 of Pekoe Trail.
- Marie-claude (8/5): Very good - Great view from the balcony. Comfortable room. Very good food. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of echoes in the building. A bit hard to get to, Google Maps didn’t seem to know the exact way there. Not indicated, it would be good to have a sign to know you’re at the right place.
- George (7/5): Good - Staff and Clean rooms It's a 4 level hotel with no lift. Going up and down many levels was hard. Access road is very bad for a car.
- Koji (6/5): A very nice place, food could be better and risk of parties. - The building was very modern and a bit opulent with the high ceilings, lounge, nice dining area and balconies. The WiFi was fast and we had strong signal outside our room. There was a party on the roof of the building the night we stayed which kept us awake until 2am.
The food was fine but portions were a little small.
- Chatura (9/5): A Peaceful Stay Near the Pekoe Trail - A great hotel located just 1 km from the end of the Pekoe Trail Stage 6. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and the food is delicious. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the views from the terrace are stunning. It's a perfect place to stay for hikers and nature lovers.
- Pauline (7/5): Good location, excellent staff,nd delicious food and good rooms if you are on the Pekoe Ttail. s - We stayed between stages of the Pekoe Trail and it was an excellent location not far from one stage to the next. When there was a misunderstanding about whether the guide would have a room the management was very flexible and I understand they will consider providing accommodation. This is a very good strategy. Thr rooms were big and comfortable, the water hot and the food excellent. The staff were excellent Nothing but it might be good to have wifi details and water in the room.
- Mario (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for pekoe trail. Great Food & people. Shower and toilet are not in the room but seperate and you need to walk outside. Not ideal in the night but doable. And the nice host definitely are worth staying
