Guest Reviews
- Eugenia (1/5): Bad - I like nothing on the property. I really hate it here Nothing at this hotel works. The front desk agent, you have to look for her on the property. My keys was given to someone else, when I left the hotel for side seeing. I returned the the hotel and they could not find my keys. Then after 20 minutes of looking there came and say someone else had my room keys. I hate it here i just wanted to leave. The day of check out i was so happy. The food sucks and the service was horrible
- Giulia (10/5): Exceptional - The property is stunning and the staff and lovely. The food is also amazing. 10/10
- Britt (7/5): Good -

- Lynne (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful location friendly helpful staff
- Sinidu (8/5): Very good -
- כהן (10/5): Exceptional - Exelent place, very quiet, rooms are very big and clean. In the middle of a jungel. Magical place...
We were sorry that we reserved just one night. Recomanding 0n 2 nights. Breakfast- the varaity and the clean
- Elizabeth (8/5): Peaceful stay with friendly staff - Lovely big room and balcony. Very nice pool. Good food at dinner. Internet unreliable in the evenings.
- Jonas (9/5): Can highly recommend! - Great location with walking distance to the Sigiriya Rock. Relaxing atmosfear, large rooms with balcony and great view. Staff was service minded and helped us arrange safari and transportation with short notice. Breakfast was surprisingly good!
Nice small family restaurants on the same road Poor WiFi
- Sampath (5/5): Passable -
- John (7/5): Pleasant - Villa felt private and we enjoyed the swimming pool and grounds. Mostly didn't have hot water. No daily cleaning.
3% charge on credit cards. This should be made clear on Booking.com
Rather expensive, though the rate fell after we made our reservation.
- Aleksandra (3/5): Poor -
- David (9/5): Very nice hotel, great pool - We stayed here 2 nights, but unfortunately the weather was awful, so we were unable to enjoy the fantastic swimming pool and the solarium area. Our room was on the upper floor and was spacious with a large bathroom and a nice balcony to relax on. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the shower was great. The AC unit was very effective and it was good to have a safe large enough to fit a laptop inside. The WiFi worked perfectly for us - I think our room had a router in it, so the signal was very strong. The staff were super friendly and helpful. For example, when they realised we were struggling to order a Tuk Tuk on 'PickMe' they phoned someone who was here within 5 minutes. Whilst you are some way out of the town, we did not feel isolated. On our second night, we ate at the restaurant our meals were delicious. The room smelled a bit musty and the bathroom appeared to be a little damp, but I imagaine that the torrential rain did not help and that it would be entirely different when the sun shines. Also, more of a puzzle than a moan, but there was no washing machine in the room, despite it being advertised.
- Taylan (8/5): Great place in the nature - If the service quality improves, really good place to stay over. Located 200m to lion rock and sigiriya centre. Staff was very helpful and always welcoming to any request. Special thanks to the hotel managers.
- Salla (9/5): Superb - Lovely service, beautiful grounds, big rooms with air conditioning, minibar and tea kettle.
- Emma (4/5): Nice hotel but the worst staff I’ve ever come across. - The pool is lovely and the bed is comfy, the man serving breakfast each morning was very friendly and the only component member of staff. Although this property was very nice, the staff were a let down. Never in my life have I experienced such poor hospitality. The staff here truly do not care about you unless you are in one of the big tour groups that stay. Firstly, on arrival, they claimed they did not have my booking, and the lady on reception was quite rude to me about this. During our whole stay, they were short with us and could not help with anything. They couldn’t even manage to get us a tuk tuk. We would ask a basic question (e.g about lion rock) and they would say they would get back to us.. and never would, even though they were sat around doing nothing all day.We felt very uncomfortable during our stay because of this and I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone at all. The big tour groups get 5 star attention, and as a couple you will be ignored. Even when Buffett breakfast is served, the tour groups get offered eggs etc, whereas we did not.
- Alan (5/5): Passable -
- Kim-anh (8/5): Very good - Beautiful grounds. Wished we could've stayed longer to enjoy the pool. Great room with a huge bathroom that was clean and close to the Sigirya Rock. No big complaints Sometimes we would have little frogs in the bathroom but they kept to themselves so nothing bad. Breakfast and dinner was slightly overpriced and there was stuff dropping off from the ceiling but we're not sure what it was.
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Jorge (10/5): Exceptional - Staff are really friendly and The facilities are good Breakfast should always be included
- Christine (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, comfortable beds, pool, and a bonus with all the - All the birds! Felt like we were in an aviary! The pool - just the right temp. and depth. Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially the front desk manager, Ms. Primali and the F&B manager, Mr. Pradheep.
- Kaly (10/5): Amazing; we can’t wait to come again! - The team are fantastic! They were so friendly and helpful at all times. The setting is beautiful; you will feel totally immersed in nature. We enjoyed breakfast with monkeys and were greeted with colourful birds on our balcony. Oh and it’s possible to view Sigiriya rock from the pool! I found some dead ants, which I presume had dropped from a spider web, in the room but the manager very quickly responded to personally apologise, ensure that it was cleaned and offered some compensation. They went above and beyond what I expected considering the surrounding wildlife.
- Samuel (9/5): Lovely chalet within walking distance of sigiriya rock. - It’s very close to sigiriya rock and the setting was very natural with plenty of wildlife to see. The cabin was comfortable and well designed. The facilities in the room were great! The dinner was a bit overpriced for what it was so we opted to eat out locally instead.
- Guido (8/5): Good value for money - Nice and friendly helpful staff. Nice natural surroundings. Nice and clean room. The monkeys get aggressive when the guests feed then at breakfast
- Roger (8/5): Very good -
- Alison (7/5): Good -
- Mani (8/5): Very good - Beautiful view. Kids loved the pool. Clean rooms Staff communication could be better.
- Deluxson (9/5): Superb -
- Oliver (8/5): Very good - Easy walk to lion rock, and not that far to the other one either. Great staff, had a couple of issues with hot water and WiFi but both solved within half an hour.
Food was really good, especially the Sri lankan dish they prepared.
- Alina (8/5): Very good - it is a nice property, big rooms it was impossible to sleep due to personnel making karaoke very late in the night. we had to use ear plugs. it was fun for the meal moment but then people want to sleep....
- Waruni (6/5): Pleasant - Receptionist at the front office is very helpful and professional There were no dental kits available. Found a hair in the BBQ sauce for dinner.
- Samir (10/5): Had a fantastic stay - Amazing property, amazing people. Very helpful, very adjusting.
- Angela (10/5): Beautiful setting , lovely staff go soon . - Really enjoyed our stay a beautiful bolthole in a luxurious setting . Staff where very helpful but not intrusive and if you needed anything quick to attend . The hotel was very quiet and we mostly had the pool to ourselves which was amazing .Fot a luxury hotel drinks wherent too expensive so that was a bonus . Nothing
- Richard (10/5): Great base to explore and relax - The location is amazing to experience the nature of the area. Quiet, large room, great hot water and pressure. Staff are caring and very helpful. Great base to explore the area, there is a beautiful temple just down the road. Restaurant food amazing and able to work with your requirements. Swimming pool great to relax. Definitely would stay there again. n/a
- Miguel (10/5): zen - very calm, very professional, staff incredibly
- Julia (8/5): It’s good value for money, quiet and relaxing atmosphere - Amazing pool with the view on the Lion Rock. Hotel is located close to the Lion Rock and 15-20 minutes by bicycle to the local restaurants.
Fast check in, welcome drink, friendly, helpful and professional staff. Lack of food or drink menu at the hotel restaurant, stains on the pool towels.
- Andrew (10/5): Great location, brilliant hotel. - 15 mins from Lion Rock. The staff were amazing. The food was really really good. The room was great, nice walk in shower. Very chilled, loved it. Nothing.
- Rajasekara (8/5): Very good -
- Ance (9/5): Superb -
