Verified traveler (2/5): Owner cancelled my stay, left office early - I had booked to stay at this accommodation and showed up at dinner to find no one in the office, no way to get a room. In the tiny berg it is located, there was 1 room available at the Holiday Inn, but hotels.com — though refunded my status — had me on the phone for hours, the 1 room was booked, and I ended up not eating dinner and driving the few hours home. It was a great lesson learned. I want to share the inexplicable experience of the owner having double booked in hopes another traveler doesn’t find themselves abandoned on the peninsula which has limited resources and have to resort to driving hours to the nearest populated area with hotels.
