Right on the edge of a safe, relaxed local neighborhood and walking distance to Poblado. The staff were amazing and it seemed like everyone who visited the hostel was cool too. There is plenty of space to work, and also relax. Really enjoyed my stay here. Nothing.

- Gabriela (10/5): Valeu cada centavos. - Tudo maravilhoso, limpo, cheiroso, confortável e cozinha equipada. Os funcionários da recepção e limpeza, os voluntários Gonzales e Kelly são muito queridos, gentis e solícitos. O lugar também é muito seguro e eles prezam pela nossa segurança. Tudo ok.
- Christian (10/5): Um dos melhores hostels que já fiquei - Um dos melhores hostels que fiquei em MUITO tempo. Os hospedes são super amigáveis, espaços de home office dedicado no segundo andar com bastante espaço para vários trabalharem, e melhor de tudo, com cadeiras ergonométricas! A cozinha é bem completa, tem café o dia inteiro e o David (funcionário da recepção) é super querido pra te ajudar com o que quiser! Além do hostel ser limpo TODOS OS DIAS. Do lado tem um restaurante com preço super barato e comida de muita qualidade também, e vários comércios na rua de baixo (padarias, mercados, distribuidoras, etc)

É tranquilo, limpo, organizado, a cozinha é bem equipada, os banheiros são bons, cama confortável, é silencioso e tem um espaço ótimo pra trabalhar, além dos voluntários e colaboradores serem pessoas maravilhosas. Me senti muito bem la, recomendo demais! Só senti falta mesmo de um espelho de corpo inteiro, fora isso, absolutamente nada a reclamar.
- Kerry (5/5): Constant N-word Use by Long-term Guest - Very clean and airy. Another guest that says he's been there for more than a month, constantly uses the terrible and derogatory N-word every day, multiple times a day.
- Kerry (7/5): Not What it Used to Be - The place is so clean and beautiful. I love it. The beds are so comfy too. This place used to be the greatest, but some things have changed. There is a long-term guest there that uses the N-word over and over and they don't recognize quiet hours at any time, so sleep gets really difficult. I kept extending my stay hoping it would be like it used to be, but it just never did.
- Gustavo (4/5): Malo para descansar - Es un lugar limpio y ordenado en cuanto a cocina y baño se refiere El tema de que no hay control con el tema de descanso de noche dentro del hostal(si hacen fiesta o quedan conversando en áreas comunes hasta pasada 2:00am) es posible escuchar todos los ruidos dentro del hostal en la habitación del segundo piso, para una persona que trabaja es horrible no poder descansar bien. Lo otro es que si es que llueve fuerte se entra agua en las habitaciones del segundo y también a la zona de cowork que ellos ofrecen, si es peligroso para los dispositivos electrónicos.

In der Gegend gibt's es Restaurants, Supermärkte und die Metrostation ist ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Etwas außerhalb, aber man kann nah El Poblado laufen (30min) und sonst kommt man überall gut mit dem Uber hin

- Thamara Alejandra (3/5): “Humillación y ausencia total de liderazgo en Lucca Hostel” - La ubicación, la limpieza y conocer algunas personas de otras culturas muy agradables, y con quien hice amistad. Al principio todo parecía bien, pero la realidad fue otra. En este hostel cobran una toalla en esta plataforma que nunca entregan y además intentan cobrar tarifas distintas a las de Booking. Lo más grave: un voluntario argentino llamado Gonzalo me agredió verbalmente, gritándome y llamándome “falsa” frente a otros, mientras el gerente encargado se limitó a decirle “cálmate” sin protegerme ni ofrecer disculpas. Fue una humillación pública y un vacío absoluto de liderazgo. Sin yo hacerle absolutamente nada, la conversación era solo con el Gte administrador que estaba de turno. Yo estaba llegando agotada de la calle, cuando me disponía a pagarle lo pendiente. En este lugar no manda el gerente ni los dueños, manda un voluntario sin control que con su gran EGO me decía lo que le daba la gana para hacerme sentir mal. Nadie se presentó a dar la cara ni a disculparse. Una experiencia traumática que jamás debería repetirse con ningún huésped.

- Kerry (10/5): This place is underpriced. - Great staff, beautiful facility, and the business center is the best I've ever seen at a hostel. Even the cleaning lady uses a cleaning liquid that sort of smells like cookies, lol Nothing comes to mind.
- Kerry (10/5): Great Price, Beautiful Hostel, Comfy Beds - My second time here. This is one of the best hostels in Medellin, and I canNOT believe how nice the price is. The bathrooms are beautiful, and so is the kitchen. To be honest, I liked everything. Even the other guests were great.
- John Alexander (10/5): - La estadía en el hostel fue muy agradable, el personal siempre estaba atento a cualquier solicitud, las zonas comunes siempre estaban en buen estado, la ubicación es muy cerca del comercio y el transporte público, la experiencia fue mejor de lo esperado, totalmente recomendado. - Laura (1/5): Preferí perder el dinero que quedarme otra noche - Yanina, la señora de la limpieza. El problema de este hostel es que nadie supervisa a sus voluntarios, que acaparan todos los espacios creyendo que están en su casa: ruido a todas horas, música alta incluso durante las horas de silencio, platos por fregar, tolerancia al/y consumo de drogas... En otras palabras, si lo que se busca es fiesta dura y drogas, es un lugar estupendo; pero para descansar no es. En mi primera noche tuve que salir de la habitación a las 4'30 de la mañana a pedir por favor que apagaran la música (y ya lo había hecho también antes, sobre las 23'30...). En la segunda noche todo olía a porro y el ruido seguía siendo horrible pasadas las 00'00. Tras hablar con el administrador para pedir la anulación de mi última noche, no se me dio una solución satisfactoria, por lo que perdí el dinero y me fui igualmente. Es una pena porque el hostel podría funcionar muy bien (es bonito y funcional), pero que ello dependa de los voluntarios que hay a cada momento justificaría que hubiera un mayor control sobre ellos. Cuando yo fui no se respetaban las normas más básicas de convivencia de cualquier hostel (ni por parte de algunos voluntarios, ni por parte tampoco de algunos huéspedes, que seguían su ejemplo...), por lo que mi experiencia en este sitio fue muy negativa y no lo recomendaría jamás. Hubo otras cuatro personas que se fueron por idéntico motivo en los dos días que yo estuve, así que la incomodidad se podía sentir de forma generalizada entre varios huéspedes. La única que se salva es Yanina, la señora de la limpieza: ella era genial...!! ;)

- Zoya (9/5): Good service and accomodation, not that great location. - Great staff and facilities. Bed’s are really comfortable. Kitchen big and with everything you need. Everything’s pretty new and clean. Location… it is a little bit away of the “main stuff”. You have to take a taxi almost all the time specially during night time. Tecnically it’s 15’walk from poblado subway but it’s a busy road not really comfortable to walk through.

- Istvan (10/5): well deserved high ratings on all accounts - I've never been in a hostel where there was so much attention paid to the details with the respect towards the guests in mind. hotel quality at basic hostel price. owners, staff are excellent, the place was built with high standards, and being well maintained. Shower's hot and strong, kitchen is well equipped. I'm not paid and I have no interest in giving good review, this is reality. the location is not bad at all, but takes a bit of walking (maybe 20min) to get to a more urban area, but loads of very economic restaurants are around too. the room was a bit smallish, got 4 beds, but they did their best to keep it to you only, as long as they can. i stayed here for a week, had the whole room for myself, for dorm price. the place is really something i have not experienced before in a hostel.
- Craig (9/5): Thumbs up for Lucca Hostal 👍🏻 - Only stayed here as it was close to the start of the Corremitierra half marathon but it was a good choice. They seem to have a policy of putting you in an empty dorm until they have too many guests to do that. A nice touch. The best kitchen I have used on my travels, well equipped and clean. Staff were great. D1 Supermarket just around the corner and lots of eating out choices too. It's walkable to the South Terminal (about 1/2 an hour) and Poblado metro (15 mins). Hot showers, Netflix on lounge TV, a work station area and a nice balcony overlooking the street. I would happily stay here again. Dorms are small for 4 beds but their policy means you are unlikely to have 4 in a room at once. Very small lockers but fine to secure valuables.

- Aisha (10/5): brand new and sparkly clean - Brand new hostel that is extremely clean! The kitchen and bathroom were brand new and so clean, I ended up extending for a few days. The kitchen is the most equipped hostel kitchen I’ve seen- with a blender, juicer, and tea kettle. Guilherme was also very sociable! Location is also great, there is a fruver and D1 right around the corner. It’s about 30 minutes walking to el poblado.
- Joseph (10/5): A quiet, comfortable and valued hostel with a helpful staff - A quiet and clean smaller scale hostel in a neighborhood with local family type restaurants. A awesome and caring staff. Nice facility to include bathrooms with shampoo/body dispenser and towel provided. Kitchen and table seating. Laundry service available. Walking distance (15min) to metro and 20min? to Poblado. Far enough away you don’t hear music ponding all night. Not a party hostel!!! Rooms a little stuffy without AC but portable fan available. Last minute laundry on Sunday was provided for me which was very helpful. Clothes were not folded. I’m not complaining but many will so keep that in mind.
