Guest Reviews
- Liz (2/5): It is very clear that this isn't a guesthouse as advertised, but rather a room in someone's house. - This was an incredibly disappointing stay. When we arrived we had to leave our car outside, enter through a separate gate, squeeze through a passage actively being painted, unlocking three different padlocks along the way, then open the sliding gate manually after removing the plank keeping it closed since the motor is broken.
We assumed for the price we paid that there would be certain amenities and that the room provided would be of a high standard. The "double-bed" was actually two singles with simply a thin comforter over the top and two pillows. We booked during the summer and while I wasn't expecting an aircon, there wasn't even a table fan for us. There were no towels provided for the room, the shared bathroom was dank and most of the space was taken up by a washing machine.
The shared spaces were cluttered and full of detritus, the only fridge is in the lounge so food isn't secure and I have no idea where the garden mentioned on the listing is because all we saw was a patch of sand.
We booked for two nights but left early. I walk with a cane and it was simply too difficult getting through all the passages and padlocks, not to mention using the bathroom. It is very clear that this isn't a guesthouse as advertised, but rather a room in someone's house. For the price we paid we may as well have spent an extra R200 and gotten a hotel room
