Guest Reviews
- Tracy (10/5): - The host/owner of the bungalow was amazing, so friendly and helpful. Bungalow was spotless with great facilities. The booking company Pillow Partners are not helpful at all. There were communication difficulties. Directions took us to south blairkip and when I rang for Directions, the agent kept telling me how to get in via the keysafe despite telling her several times we hadn't even reached the correct place yet. We had to ask a local farmer for Directions in the end.
- Amanda (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - The house is in a beautiful location. The views are gorgeous. There were extra thoughtful touches such as the milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, sugar and even biscuits so we were able to have a hot drink as we settled in. Watching the birds at the feeder, the visiting hen and rooster who wandered by in the morning as well as the geese was fun. There are a couple of bird recognition books that helped us identify some of the birds which weren't known to us by name. There's a small dishwasher in the kitchen and a few tablets and rinse aid are provided. The kitchen had everything you'd need to cook and clean up after yourself. There's a double socket in the kitchen that has two usb slots for charging mobile phones (don't forget to bring a cable). The safety features are excellent, with a first aid kit in the kitchen, emergency lights, fire extinguishers etc. The beds are so comfortable. We will definitely be back. We found the house easily following the instructions provided after checking in online on the day of arrival. Definitely use the what3words app. There was a little bit of confusion as I hadn't realised the house was called Eildon (could be my fault for missing it in the directions given) and looked unfamiliar as the picture on the booking.com site is of the side and obviously very different to the front! However seeing the two lock boxes beside the front door assured us we were in the correct place!
A very trivial thing is the lack of a shelf in the shower to hold shampoo etc as you wash. The shower itself was excellent.
The only reason I haven't given 4 for the photos and information is a picture of the front would be helpful for recognition purposes and there was no mention of the dishwasher which is a real bonus in the kitchen and would be a good selling point.
There's nothing negative to say, just a couple of things that may help others. This really is a perfect 5* property to stay at and we were sorry to leave.

- Kerr (10/5): Absolutely perfect - The cottage was perfect for my daughter & her 2 carer's, they said there was plenty space inside & outside. It was spotless. They said a lady came spoke to them & introduced herself, lovely. Have booked again 🌟
- Carley (10/5): Great place to stay if you want to relax, and explore ayrshire. - This house is self catering.
The location has wonderful views for miles. There was nothing to not like.
We have now stayed here twice.
- Eromonsele (8/5): It was a good stay. Sadly the communication with the staff online was really poor. - Great property. Nice location The drive to the property, getting direction from the staff. We didn’t find it easy.
- Andy (8/5): Peaceful, Restful, Calm, and Spacious. - Liked the big comfortable beds. Liked the privacy. Liked the shower. Liked the large living room. Liked the views and walks. WiFi was good. Kitchen was large and well-equipped. Would benefit from hooks on the back of the bathroom and bedroom doors.
Would benefit from better/heavier blackout curtains in bedrooms.
Kitchen would benefit from some wooden spoons and a colander/strainer.
Geese & cockerels honking and crowing outside second bedroom window at 8am
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional - Super friendly hosts, really clean, comfortable, peaceful, the wildlife birds and animals you see and hear, surrounding views and walks perfect for nature lovers, quite getaway and families There is nothing I can fault this place for it's amazing
- Carley (10/5): Exceptional - The location very quiet, and great views. Nothing, lovely place to stay.
- Coupe (10/5): Excellent Little Property - Excellent facilities, with an extremely well-equipped kitchen - far better than any other property I have stayed at on booking.com. In a lovely remote countryside location. My only complaint is that there is only 1 shower - an en-suite to the master bedroom. Not a big issue
- David (10/5): A lovely relaxed stay in an ideal location. Beautiful facilities. - Location was perfect. Hosts were delightful and very helpful. Loved our stay. Nothing. Everything was terrific.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the peace and quiet. Gorgeous views of farm.
Clean and comfortable cottage. Well enjoyed by our family from Australia 🇦🇺 The winding roads getting there. Lol.
- Mark (10/5): We loved every minute of our stay! - A wonderful house in a lovely location. The large bungalow was spotless and has amazing views across open countryside. The owners were very welcoming and we will definitely stay again.
