Guest Reviews
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional - When we got settled it was very cosy,Felt very relaxed while there. Very quiet and private and the onsite security was lovely and friendly 💛 🐶 That we wasn't there longer.
- Jolean (8/5): Nice little break away - Very quiet location
- Ryan (9/5): Superb - Quiet, nice lodge and location. Clean and tidy. Will definitely look at returning WiFi was a little weak in the cabin we stayed in. With it being a little bit of a dead zone for phone service it could do with better wifi strength. Might I suggest the tp-link WiFi mesh system for extending range.
- Aleksandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Would highly recommended staying here we are currently going to book a stay through out the Christmas period. - We had stayed in the Robin, what an absolute pleasure very clean enough facilities you need for a couple of days get away, the scenery was fantastic and Rob made it very welcoming. Hot tub was amazing first time doing something like this as a couple, Rob even went out of his way to get my partner a bunch of roses, box of chocolates, bottle of processco and even decorated the hut with a birthday banner and bloons.
- Beth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leighton (8/5): Peaceful, relaxing & tranquil! - Everything! Location was great, was easy to get to, very peaceful & quiet! Perfect place to get away from it all & put your feet up! Nothing.
- Lina (8/5): Very good -
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (7/5): Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. - I liked how remote and private it was. The bed was very comfy and clean. I also enjoyed the idea of a self catering stay with the added luxury of a hot tub. There is a booklet provided with lots of nearby activities.
- Leonie (5/5): Excellent location, cleaning needs attention - The location was lovely, exactly what you want coming from an urban city. The hot tub made up for all the shortcomings. I would have been extremely disappointed to have travelled almost 200 miles for just the cabin alone. The cleanliness was shocking. Lack of attention to detail in terms of dust and cobwebs was really disappointing.
Especially when pets are also allowed.
The level of cleaning needs to be exceptionally high, and it just wasn't .
I bought my own sanitiser spray and cloths and spent the first 30 minutes cleaning the fridge, rewashing the utensils and crockery, before we could unpack anything.
Then we inspected the bed and found stains and pet hairs on the sheets. We took them off and shook them out. They had been washed but just looked dated and well used. The same goes for the towels. They were very worn with bleach stained.
The cabin is very small and shouldn't take long to clean thoroughly. Even the glass on the window and doors were smeary.
We booked this for our 20th anniversary and just decided to make the best of it rather than let it get to us.
We have stayed in a similar pod before in Nottingham, which was amazing, and the cleaning was 100% , the host also came to see us and wanted to make sure everything was okay, we didn’t get that here, which is fine, but the cleaning really needs attention.
I don't use microwaves, but the inside was unacceptable.
- Michał (9/5): Greate hospitality. And some cloath hangars, clean spider web, remove BBQ due can not use. - Booking . Com didnt send information how to get un the house.

Definitely would book Robin again The steps to Robin are a bit slippy but that's just the weather for you
- Heatley (10/5): Lovely weekend very relaxing, poppy a HUGE plus, hot tub was lovely and staff very attentive. - All of it, the lodge is peaceful and perfect for two, we stayed in robin and it has everything we need and extremely comfortable. Nothing

- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - Nice location surrounded by wildlife. We saw rabbits, ducks, pheasants, kestrels and loads of other animals. Lots of attractions within 45 minutes drive. Examples we went to were Ironbridge museum, wonderland and the sculpture park. We stayed in moorhen lodge which had a hot tub which was really nice to have after walking around all day at local attractions. Our 4 year old loved seeing Poppy come by everyday too.
- Christine (8/5): Pleasant - Key was easily obtained using the code provided It was a little too small for comfort
- Bobby (10/5): Amazing - Loved everything about the lodge was clean.
Quiet and discreet, the only thing u can hear are the birds 🐦 🐦⬛ chirping..
My favourite was obviously the hot tub 😃.
I definitely recommend the place if u are looking to switch off from the world 🌎 and every day worries.
I will definitely be back 👍 There is no hob, but we did manage.
- Anonymous (8/5): very nice relaxed trip - very peaceful and calm with nothing really around, the hot tub was amazing actually inside the lodge it was very small with not much more room besides from the bed and little kitchen

- Elizabeth (8/5): A relaxing break in beautiful peaceful surroundings. - The cabins were adequate and well equipped for a 3-night stay. A lovely peaceful setting with beautiful country views, and perfect for anyone wanting to relax. The cabins were kitted out with a small kitchen, shower (towels were provided in the bathroom and extra ones for the hot tub), double bed and there was also a BBQ situated outside that was easy to use and it cooked the food well. To relax even more, the cabin had a hot tub, which was a nice addition. We will miss our daily visits from Poppy, the hosts pet. The 1-bedroom cabin was a little on the small side for us. However, after a day we did get use to the size and it certainly didn't stop us from having a lovely time. I'm struggling to add anything else as everything was spot on.
- Vicki (10/5): Weekend break - Lovely little lodge , had everything we needed. A lovely break . Very modern facilities. Nothing at all. It was a lovely place
- Jodie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (9/5): Perfect - I went for solitude and got solitude.
I could not fault it apart from the weather but this is the UK However, if it was not for the couple who were staying in the lodge next door I would not have known how to access the lodge or who to contact. A little more information could be needed.
- Williams (7/5): Good -
- Naomi (10/5): Perfect! Exactly what we hoped for. - Was very comfortable and relaxing, exactly what we was hoping for. NA
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Molly (10/5): Amazing! - I couldn’t fault it! The property was clean and well kept. With lots of facilities! Rob was absolutely lovely and came round in the morning to check the hot tub! Our favorite addition to the stay was poppy coming for a fuss in the morning!
We will 100% be booking again! N/A

- Dean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jana (10/5): brilliant and would recommend to look into staying there. will go back there myself for sure - it was very homely great facilities in a quire area
- Hannah (9/5): lovely weekend away - Was very clean the owners are very friendly as well, hot tub was lovely and they come and check the right chemicals everyday to ensure it is useable at all times, really good location if you want to go exploring and also the daily visit from the cute little Labrador ‘poppy’ was a added bonus, log cabin comes with all the essential cutlery and cooking equipment, and the cross keys pub which is nearby is very nice for a meal out, decent little boozer, locals very friendly, would 100% stay again if we came to that area again
- Steffie (10/5): Exceptional - It was very clean and the owner was very helpful There wasn't much locally but it was lovely also the photos on here were misleading
- Anonymous (10/5): nice chilled break - nice and quiet needs more lighting outside by the hot tub cos it was hard to see the steps
- Viktorija (9/5): Superb -
- Rajvinder (7/5): Good - It was very nice and comfortable 😌. All facilities worked great. Was a bit of a drive to get food and drinks
- Nicola (8/5): Very good - The cabin was lovely and cosy, very romantic with a friendly local pub. It stated there was a hot tub on the booking.com site but there wasn't,the owner said there was an empty cabin with a hot tub but there wasn't enough time to get it heated up.
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Rekesh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ebony (10/5): Such a relaxing getaway weekend. - Lovely, cosy lodges that made you feel at home. Staff were so friendly and helpful!
- Anonymous (10/5): we stayed in Wren and had a lovely weekend getaway. - property was perfect for 2 of us, property was very clean and free parking. hot drink facilities and towels were included. checking into the lodge was very easy. a little bit of a drive into the local towns
- Leanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bartlomiej (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (10/5): Beautiful place with a friendly welcome - Beautiful location and very clean and comfortable facilities Booking.com made it a little difficult to book specific lodge with specific facilities
- Jason (10/5): Will definitely be returning - Everything about this place is fantastic. Handily placed for days out in Shrewsbury, Oswestry ,Chirk ,Llangollen. In its own beautiful gardens with a lake. Was so quiet and relaxing which is what we wanted. Has a BBQ which was great and a lovely pub 3 miles away(there is one closer) Nothing
- Jasen (1/5): Bad - Nothing. This property is totally misleading. We were shown pictures of a lodge with a kitchen, lounge, en-suite and a hot tub.At no stage were we directed to any other accommodation. Instead we got a shed with a bed,Leprechaun toilet and a microwave and fridge! We had to throw all of our food away and we left after less than 24 hours! The whole site is like a building site with materials everywhere. A total rip off.....don't book!
- Anonymous (10/5): Great! A lovely place to stay - It’s such a lovely place, quiet yet near so many things. Our lodge was clean, everything worked and we will be staying again. Nothing
- Nicola (10/5): A great little Gem in the countryside - Beautiful little lodge, a little break from everyday life. Lovely, quiet little village with friendly people. Nothing.
