Guest Reviews
- Mike (10/5): - Dry clean and comfortable Nothing, all good
- Olga (10/5): - great location, very nice and tidy room, fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommended! The rooms are quiet and we could rest and enjpy London
- Emad (9/5): -
- Kendra (10/5): Cozy warm uplifting gem in the middle of Hoxton. - From the moment I walked in I felt seen and taken care of.Georgia the manager helped me immensely as I had just had an eye operation.
She made every part of my stay flawless. Could not have been a better hosts. Thank you and will definitely book again soon.

- Amy (7/5): Nice place, but very noisy between rooms - Great location, leafy and quiet street. Easy check in and very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely bathroom, good shower pressure and temperature, and the room looks good. Very comfortable bed. I thought it was very reasonably priced. Coffee machine was in need of a clean internally, it smelled awful and didn't seem like it had had cleaner run through it in a long time. Room was a bit dusty around the edges, dark baked in stains on some towels. I was in room 1 - the wall between Rooms 1 & 2 is extremely thin, I could hear the person sniffing on the other side 😅 Doors slam by default and quite hard to get a decent night's sleep as it's so noisy between rooms - some sort of sound insulation between rooms, mechanisms on the doors so they close without slamming, and maybe even carpet down on the floors to make it less noisy would massively improve things.

- Hendrik (9/5): Great cozy place - Such a nice pub with clean and comfortable rooms. Very cozy Nothing

- joanne (10/5): Gorgeous room, friendly staff, great food, really comfortable and safe place to stay :) - N/A no breakfast available Nothing

- Nick (9/5): - It was in all in all a great stay. Lovely staff, location is spot on. There is only one small think and it's a bit personal maybe, bit I love a shower with good pressure. It was fine but that would be much only tip for improvement.

- Hotson (10/5): Lovely room & friendly staff - The staff were so friendly, the room was lovely and big, very comfortable and the bathroom was very nicely designed. The walk from the tube was a bit further than I thought and (the route maps took us) was via the canals. A lovely walk but a bit dark at night if youre on your own. Im sure there is probably a different way you could go though.
- Paul (8/5): Off the beaten track , and lovely - Room was very clean and comfortable. Decor was lovely. Shower room was well designed. Good coffee machine. Great sound insulation. If another guest is loud in the corridor it's very noticeable. Stairs are steep if that's an issue for guests.
- Rory (8/5): - We liked the room, the fact that the windows can be opened, the location, and the bar downstairs served excellent food. The WiFi in Room 1 needs some attention. There were several problems. The modem seemed to be down at times. Also, when it was ‘working’ our phones reported it as ‘unknown’ and ‘not safe’. As a result, comm7nications were blocked.

- mark william (10/5): -
- Charlotta Edeland (10/5): - No breakfast. pretty difficult to get in contact with the "recpetion".
- Jones (10/5): -
- Patricia (10/5): Ideal … great spot and room was perfect - No breakfast offered - this would be a great addition . Lovely rooms - perfect location - lovely area N/A
- SUSANA (9/5): -
- Gabe (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I needed to find a few specific areas and the staff were incredibly helpful.
- Aaron (10/5): - The food was lovely, I got chatting to the manager and staff and tried some very nice local beer plus their own gin which they distill in-house. The room was very comfortable with plenty of amenities, a very clean bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Best pint of Guinness I've had out of Ireland, a lovely atmosphere in the pub and nice quiet surroundings, with a very short walk to the venue of my event
- Sara (9/5): Excellent stay, great facilities and great location - Clean and up to date decor in room and common areas. Lovely large comfy bed. Posh bath and shower. Good coffee facilities. There was a bright green light on the ceiling above the bed (was it the smoke alarm or something similar) that disturbed my sleep. It needs covering up or moving away from above the bed if possible.
- Lucy (10/5): Excellent value for money, would definitely book again - Room was lovely, spacious and clean. Bed v comfortable and large. Shower seemed a bit weak
- Peter (8/5): -
- Rob (9/5): -
- KEVIN (10/5): -
- Konstantinos (8/5): - Nice and clean room in a convenient location for the purpose of my travel. Comfortable bed and nice facilities, including complimentary water, coffee and an iron with ironing board. It was quiet and night and did not have any disturbances when sleeping. The window in the bathroom would not close, and there was noise from the pub below until 10pm. Not too many options for food and drinks within walking distance.
- Jenny (9/5): - N/A
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful Islington pub with charming rooms - Lovely to be in the heart of Islington - but slightly away from the busier part of Angel on a street with lovely terraced houses. Lovely pub for a drink or roast, easy to walk along to Regent’s Canal to Broadway Market, etc. would definitely stay again. Loved the décor and comfort of the room, too. Really stylish and cosy. Nothing - all great.
To be pernickety, room could just do with a couple of coat hooks and maybe a stand to put suitcase on.
- armand (9/5): -
- antoine (9/5): -
- amy (8/5): - The location, comfortable bed, easy check in Nothing
- Howard (9/5): -
- Natalia (8/5): -

- Valerie (10/5): -
- Richard (10/5): Clean, comfortable, quiet and generally a good location. - Clean, modern, very pleasant and helpful staff. We had tickets to see the New Year’s fireworks from the south side of the Thames, getting there and back was a bit tricky as most bridges over the Thames were closed.
- Sarah (9/5): -
- Allan (8/5): Very pleasant stay, comfortable room and very helpful staff - Clean, well maintained, very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful nothing
- Mary (10/5): Excellent. Would certainly use it again and recommend it to others. - Location great - near to everything but quiet streets and felt very safe. Nothing.
- Sergey (9/5): -
- craig (7/5): It was convenient for our purpose and handy for getting a drink and some pub food. - Accommodation was part of the pub which did nice food and drink. Staff were very nice.Ideal for an event we were attending. No sink plug in bathroom. Window in bathroom wouldn't shut so it was cold in there. No spoon for making coffee/tea. Quite a few stains on the carpet around the coffee machine.
- Jo (9/5): Our second visit, absolutely perfect for us when needing quiet, quality stay in town. Thank you - So well looked after, fresh, good quality linen and furnishings. Lovely helpful staff. A very quiet area. It was a bit cold on arrival. The shower only got to a warm temperature. No conditioner. All minor minor points
- Irene (9/5): very pleasant - staff very helpful in particular Henry and Dianna - N/A a bit noisy on the first floor
- Nik (9/5): Idealer Aufenthalt für Besuch eines Konzerts in der Union Chapel - Tolles Hotel mit Pub Kein Frühstück im Hotel möglich
- Janja (10/5): - The staff were friendly and efficient and the stay short but very comfortable.
- ningenkamp (3/5): A guesthouse full of potential, but some improvements are needed. - The hotel manager and the staff were friendly and the pub seemed nice. Housekeeping took one of my t-shirts when they collected the towels. Unfortunately I never got the t-shirt back. I warn all travellers to keep their belongings together as it is quite distressing to lose personal items during a holiday. Also, the room was not very clean upon arrival.
- David (10/5): Very stylish clean property with everything you would need, defo would stop again - Stylish and clean, defo one of the best stays I’ve had in London I could hear next door
- Mary (9/5): - The staff was really friendly and helpful and very welcoming. We had a meal at the pub and it was absolutely delishish and well recommend. We were staying as I had appointment at Moorfields and around the area the rooms were out of our price range but the Hanbury Townhhouse was reasonable priced and in a lovely area with the canal and moorfields in walk distance. Would highly recommend the hotel Fan was dusty and there was no remote for the tv thought the staff did try and find one..this did distract for the pleasant stay
- Chris Jones (9/5): - Comfortable and well appointed accommodation and very quiet, at least on a weekday It's a 10 min walk from public transport and Islington Central through back streets. It was fine for me but if you feel vulnerable walking streets at night.
- Lidia (9/5): 100% recommendable, nice stay - Lovely room and accomodation. Tidy and comfortable room, with everything you need: comfortable bed, new and complete bathroom,.coffee machine and tea, nice neighborhood. Well connected and central. Staff extremely friendly and nice. The only "but" would be that it is not suitable for disabled people or people with limited mobility because the stairs are steppy and narrow, so it would be a problem for some people. But that's the only "but" :)
- karen (10/5): Fabulous 24 hour battery recharge! - The waitress in the bar was so helpful with my accommodation. Helped me with my bags. Really excellent service. She helped me get my heating problem sorted too. Nothing
- Ladislav (8/5): -
- Kirsty (8/5): - The pub downstairs was lovely and we had a back room so it wasn’t noisy at all. The room was quite small for two people with two bags but by far the best place I’ve stayed in London for the price we paid.
- Alice (8/5): -
- Chris Brondson (8/5): Huge room, easy base to explore from. - Staff really helpful as a delayed flight meant I didn't take off until the deadline to collect they key had already passed. I rang them from the airport and they made arrangements so I could get into the property and the room hassle free - much appreciated!
Room was huge - king + single.
Easy location to explore and visit from, especially using Lime bikes.
The pub downstairs was friendly, not too busy and had reasonable food options.
- miranda (10/5): - Super central and great rooms. Staff very friendly.
- Andrea (9/5): -
- Ruth (8/5): - Great location and lovely staff Room was too small for a family of 4, not enough water pressure
- Lynn (9/5): Great location ..had a wonderful stay 🥂 -
- Danell (10/5): -
- Claire (9/5): Excellent value for money - Spacious. Well equipped. Excellent facilities. They even helped us remove a spider from the ceiling. Nothing.
- Alice (10/5): -
- Kerry (8/5): Lovely place to eat and stay. - It was beautiful and I cannot fault the cleanliness or the room itself. The staff were absolutely brilliant. We ate there and dinner was lovely. A lot of care and attention has been put into the room and therefore my two criticisms almost feel unfair. Without doubt I would stay there again if going to an event in the area and I would recommend it. Personal preferences but the bed was very firm, too firm for me. Also, I called and left messages twice and my calls were not returned. I could have emailed but did not and there was an emergency number that I could have tried but did not as I felt that it was not a emergency.
- Morris (7/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): Great value for money in a great location. - Lovely stay. Comfy bed and clean room. Just needed a mirror above the table for getting ready in room 3. Big shower head was disappointing. Needed more pressure and limescale removing.
- Hilary (10/5): Great place to stay in Islington - Friendly staff in the bar / restaurant, good menu, beautifully decorated room, very comfortable bed. Everything was good!
- Anna (10/5): Lovely London pub stay - Great location. Beautifully designed and cleaned. Great London vibes on top of a lovely pub. Our 2 young children loved the bunks in the family room. No complaints!
- Gopal (9/5): -
- Victoria (10/5): A lovely place to stay - I liked everything about The Hanbury. A lovely clean, comfortable room, a friendly local pub with delicious food in a lovely area. I liked everything about this place
- Amber (10/5): -
- Steven (10/5): Will stay there again. - Very nice remodeling of the facility. Great location. Too many stairs.
- Monika (8/5): Cozy and comfortable - Nice, quiet location. Bed was great and the multiple outlet types (including USB-C) near the bed were appreciated. I liked that they gave us new glass bottles of water every day without asking. Felt very cozy. Lots of stairs to navigate. We had to take all our luggage up 4 flights of stairs. Room was a bit cramped for three people but doable. Poor water pressure in the shower. The location was a bit far from train stations but relatively close to some bus stops.

- Cristian (10/5): The place was great, would recommend. - The Hanbury was renovated very well, the rooms look great. The location was ideal and only a short walk to the station. We had large suitcases, it was difficult to get up the stairs, this wasn’t an issue for us but maybe for some
