• Vladimír (8/5): - Penzion v klidné části - trochu zastrčený, což ale nebylo na škodu. Na pláž kousek pěšky. Pokoj velký, prostorný, terasa a výborná kuchyně. Přímo nad pokojem byla kuchyně baru a když tam něco dělali, tak ten hluk byl dost velký. Pokud by jste chtěli jet s malým dítětem, tak to asi nebude nejlepší volba. My se s tím nějak poprali.

• Margarita (4/5): Хорошее расположение - Бронировали 2 улучшенных номера с балконом для семьи из 4х человек. Приехали из аэропорта в десятом часу вечера , нам говорят, что 1 номер сверху и 1 снизу. Мы объясняли что мы вместе бронировали на одном этаже , мы одна семья. Нам сказали что второй номер на втором этаже занят, мы были уставшие и согласились , т к искать что то другое не было возможности. С утра оказалось , что номер внизу , не улучшеный , с запахом сырости. И это не отдельный номер , через дверь живет большая семья местных. С самого утра по соседству через дверь собирается персонал кафе, делать заготовки , громко разговаривают- шумоизоляция отсутствует. Также слышно все что происходит в номере сверху. ВА вот на втором этаже 2 улучшенных номера , которые мы и бронировали. Мы подходили, объясняли, что мы одна семья , нам неудобно бегать с одного этажа на другой, нам отказали в переселении, т к была какая-то бронь на 2 дня, хотя мы бронировали заранее. Суточные брони можно было разместить и снизу , а нам с длительным сроком проживания дать тот, что мы забронировали. На втором этаже между двумя номерами есть общая кухня , с большая терраса со столиками. На третьем этаже находится кафе. Расположение отличное , до пляжа пешком около 7 минут. -

• Janina (10/5): Absolut zu empfehlen :) - Die Unterkunft ist absolut fantastisch. Wir können sie uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht drin um eine Tour durch die Mangroven zu machen. Das Bett ist super bequem und der Balkon mit Sitzmöglichkeit super angenehm. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Über der Unterkunft gibt es ein wirklich außergewöhnliches Restaurant in welchem wir gerne nochmals gewesen wären. Wir würden hier auf jeden Fall nochmal übernachten wenn wir in der Gegend sind :) Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top Es war alles toll :)

• Svetlana (10/5): Хорошая недвижимость по адекватной цене , шикарным рестораном рядом с океаном . - Когда я вспоминаю этот НГ отпуск на Шри ланке , то я первым делом думаю об этом доме . На сегодняшний день объект недвижимости выглядит так - на первом этаже сдается одна маленькая комната , рядом большая квартира , но в ней наверное идет ремонт, так как частично там проживала семья хозяина , квартира большая , с собственной Кухней , я бы хотела пожить там в следующий отпуск . На втором этаже сдается 2 комнаты побольше ( в одной есть тахта для ребенка) , с красивыми видами с балконов на джунгли, и там же общая кухня , где можно приготовить элементарный завтрак , попить кофе вечером, там же большой холодильник и мини- бар в каждом номере . Так получилось , что за 14 дней отпуска мы пожили в этом объекте 2 раза - сначала 1 и 2 этаж , потом заняли 2 комнаты 2 этажа . Второй этаж естественно понравился больше . Кровати на 2 этаже больше , чем на 1, но нам с мужем хватило . Вода не горячая, но теплая и в этом жарком климате мыться ей комфортно . На НГ мы жили с большой семьей хозяина ( жена , ребенок , бабушка, дедушка и многочисленные родственники) .Все очень корректные и никто к вам не лезет . Это был интересный опыт погружения в жизнь и быт локальной семьи , мне было интересно наблюдать , как женщины рано утром готовят, стирают , бегают за малышом ))). В семье живет большой дружелюбный ласковый лабрадор Тига . В общем доступе стиральная машина и 50 метров веревок под солнцем))) сохнет все очень быстро , только надо стирать рано утром , тогда до обеда все высыхает. До пляжа напротив Тадж идти ровно 5 мин, до магазина небольшого мин 10, в окрестностях множество красивейших пляжей , в 7 мин езды на машине огромный магазин . Чами адекватный хозяин , понимающий состояние своей недвижимости и сдающей ее по очень- очень разумной и соответсвующей цене, встретил нас в 3 утра , продлил комнаты до позднего вечера , решал все бытовые вопросы на месте и вообще спокойный и уравновешенный человек .Изюминка на торте - это ресторан хозяина на 3 этаже .
• Adam (10/5): Hidden Jungle Paradise - When we arrived I was a bit dubious on this place as we followed the signs to the accommodation we didn't knkw what to expect. But once we arrived we quickly found this place far exceeded our expectations. An immaculately clean room, and bathroom, comfortable bed, fridge, super friendly hosts and a lovely labrador welcomed us. The photos for the room are spot on. A quick 10 minute walk to the beautiful beach or a nice lake near cafes and shops. 2 floors above us was an awesome reggae bar with amazing staff and a good kitchen serving up some delicious prawns and the best fish curry I have had so far in Sri Lanka. A massive bonus for me though, as a keen wildlife photographer was the fact the 2 tier restaurant above us doubled up as an amazing bird hide and I was able to get some incredible photos of the surrounding jungle canopy and the vast variety of native birdlife it contained. We stayed 3 nights but didn't want to leave. Only slight criticism is wifi was a bit patchy but I think thats a common issue in this area and no way effects the opinion on this place. Big thank you to the family who own this property! Nothing
• Lisk (2/5): - I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this property due to several major issues. First, the accessibility is poor; there is no clear entrance or signage, and we were forced to walk through a private residential backyard just to reach the unit. ​Once inside, the amenities were non-existent. The WiFi was completely non-functional, which was a major inconvenience. To make matters worse, the 'view' advertised was a total letdown. Looking out from the balcony, we were met with a disgusting garbage pit directly below us. The sight made it impossible to enjoy the space. I would not recommend this location.

• Petra (2/5): Nejhorší a špinavé ubytování., - Pozitivem byla klimatizace a stropní ventilátor., Nelíbil se mi zápach uvnitř pokoje z nábytku a propojení do dalšího pokoje pouze uzamykatelnými dveřmi. Špatná dostupnost, nutné jít přes sousedící domy. Nejhorší byla čistota ubytování. Staré ručníky a nepraná deka místo prostěradel na přikrytí. Pokousali nás zde blechy nebo štěnice. Nikdy se sem nevrátíme. Levné a nejhorší ubytování. Nedoporučuji.
• Наталия (9/5): - Приветливый персонал , довольно чисто , горячая вода , не далеко от пляжа . В общем-то рекомендую , если вы не привереда ) В номере есть холодильник - бар !!! Есть кухня на несколько номеров . Отличный ресторан на 3 этаже, вкусно готовят , очень красивая обстановка, прям для фоточек в Инстограмм ( Пахнет сырость, есть пятна да же . С балкона видна мусорка, где жгут мусор ( если бы не это , то вид бы был замечательный !!!) . Номер уставший , течёт сантехника . Но на 2-3 дня хороший вариант из расчёта цена-качество ! Так что все же рекомендую . Ресторан прям ТОП !
• Ella (8/5): A very comfortable stay over Christmas :) - Large room and large bed, very comfy and had a mosquito net if needed. The shower was clean and everything worked well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, brought food/drink down to our room from their restaurant - they even had a super cute dog! The only thing was the position of the shower, it felt like we were showering over the toilet! It is a bit out of the way but if you’re happy to walk it is around a 10 minute walk to the beach, passes the train station as well which is handy.

• Katharina (10/5): A wonderful stay with kind hosts, great food, and a perfect location. - The warmth welcome of the family, the location ( everything is walkable) , the great food - you have to try it. Very clean apartment. There is not really much i did not like, just one tiny thing - when it rains very heavy, it rains into the room so the floor gets wet. but I put a towel there and that’s it. I also got new towels right away.

• Joana (10/5): Best Guesthouse in Bentato - Nous avons absolument tout adoré et nous ne comprenons pas certain mauvais commentaires pour être honnête La chambre est spacieuse et très propre, idem pour la salle de bain. Il y a la clim ainsi qu'un balcon. Le restaurant sur le rooftop est un vrai plus, et le staff est si gentils, accueillants et prêt à nous aider dans toutes nos demandes. Notre séjour était fantastique et on vous recommande à 100% cette guesthouse C’est très bien indiquée sur Google Maps, et le quartier résidentiel est un vrai plus aussi. Les voisins sont très polis et gentils Merci pour tout et nous espérons vous revoir bientôt Nothing everything was so perfect !

The hosts went above and beyond to make my stay as good as possible. They even helped me fix the tuk-tuk I had rented. Honestly, after a month in Sri Lanka, this was the best place and the kindest hosts I’ve stayed with. We got amazing welcome drinks and the staff were nice! There was an ants nest forming on the bathroom window so there were a lot of ants in the bathroom, after we used spray there were a lot less but still some. Also the room needs sound proofing, we could hear everything going on in the family's home and there was a very loud squeaky tap that disturbed our sleep, apart from these small things we had a good stay and would stay again

• Sahan (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. There is a common kitchen with equipments. Very calm and quite environment.Highly recommend place. Little bit hard to find the property. But there are several boards to indicate where to follow. Except that there is noththing to dislike.
• Dwishen (8/5): Comfortable and quiet stay. - Spacious room and good amenities. They accomdated us for an early check in. Walkable from the train station. Rather difficult to locate the property. We asked the locals and they were extremely helpful in showing us the direction.

• Varun (9/5): Great stay in Bentota - Great stay for that price at Bentota. It has a great cafe too on the terrace. Room facilities are also great. Spacious rooms and washroom. Just a Lil bit in the interiors. Because of the weather, mosquitoes enter the room as soon as you open the door.

• Yasmin (9/5): Tranquil stay - We had delicious breakfasts on the top floor restaurant. Very peaceful and tranquil setting. New hotel building set behind the house. Very quiet. Only 5 minutes walk to the beach front. There are a few restaurants on the way to the beautiful clean beach. Very little traffic down Pitaramba road. Learnt to carve a bowl at Wood Carving Bentota at no extra cost. Bought a few wooden spoons and key holder. I had to kill about 10 mosquitoes and slept under the mosquito net.

The Owner has a restaurant near the property called “Boss of Prawns” which I highly recommend. Food was so good I ate there 2 nights.

• Jenny (3/5): location was disappointing, room was ok, food in restaurant was great! - The room was ok, bed was comfortable. The reggae restaurant was amazing, the food was fantastic and we are their twice on our stay, location was quite a walk from the beach. Initially from the booking.com website we liked the thought that it was in a jungle however when we arrived the properties at the front of the accommodation completely lets it down, it’s scruffy, untidy and not a true reflection of the pictures on the website, it was really not described how it was when we got there! the communal kitchen was a big disappointment, untidy, the staff were really unclean and had dirty clothing on upon greeting us and working in the restaurant.
• Sabine (3/5): Downstairs flat not recommended, no fence or other form of security - Very large room, very clean, there is a washing machine. We did not feel safe there and the owner very kindly let us cancel late. I am grateful we did not have to sleep there. We rented the ground floor flat, which is huge, very new and clean, but lacking in equipment (for example no cuttlery, plates, cups etc.) Ther is a bedroom with en suite bathroom, huge living room with kitchen area. Unfortunately we could not stay there because it smelt extremly damp (previous gusts mentioned a damp stain, which i can confirm). Furthermore it was not possible to keep the windows open due to non- existing security and no mosquito nets. We rented the flat in order to wash our clothes. There was no safe space to hang the clothes outside. In order to get to the building you have to walk through the yard of the owner. There was no fence, entrance gate or any other form of security. The doorlock did not close propperly and we felt uncomfortabke leaving valuables in the flat. Although the building itself is new, the structure around it is not developed. The seating area outside was not clean. The "view' in the dschungle was mainly rubbish piles. The rooms upstairs are smaller, but less smelly and quite safe. The seating area there is OK. I do not recommend this place for female travellers. In addition everyone who wants to go to the restaurant or the upstairs rooms,walks right past the downstairs flat's yard and entrance. Thank you to the owner for accepting our late cancellation.

• Poppy (10/5): Stay Here - This is a wonderful home, tucked I. A quiet street moments away from the airport bus route to/from Colubo Fort train station. It’s a very short drive from the airport but not on a flight path. Jude, his wife & daughter are extremely good people. Jude has worked his life in hospitality. The property offers great value, a warm welcome, a generous room & a hearty breakfast.A massive bonus was a lift to the airport
• Iurii (10/5): Exceptional - The most elegant option for a family holiday with a child. First, there are two rooms, one of which is for a child. Secondly, there is a large refrigerator, a washing machine, a lot of dishes and kitchen appliances. Finally, the most important thing is a stunningly cordial and hospitable host who is ready to help with everything. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, there is an amazing restaurant on the third floor of the villa. The restaurant deserves a visit, regardless of whether you live in this villa, or just relax in Bentota. The best seafood, amazing chef, affordable prices. The only disadvantage was the practically non-existent wi-fi signal. But the owner promised to fix the situation with the router as soon as possible.
• Anthony (5/5): Passable - Friendly and welcominf staff, there is a rooftop bar. It is very difficult to find the villa at night time due to lack of street lighting. Unfortunately the room has mold in the ceiling and it made it hard for us to sleep in.
• Rachael (6/5): Lots of pros and cons, but balanced to a you get what you pay for kind of stay! - The breakfast was great - the hosts served different options every morning. The apartment was value for money - it was large and spacious and close to Bentota centre and beach. There is a washing machine on site which is helpful for families. The restaurant decor is an acquired taste, but we ate here a few times and enjoyed it! Despite all the cons, we enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very unresponsive on enquiries and messages. We booked this because of the great reviews, but on arrival the kitchen was covered in mould, almost like it hadn't been used or cleaned for months. We asked for this to be cleaned, which took over 24 hours. There wasn't adequate crockery and utensils in the apartment, which made it difficult to fully use the space. The apartment is in need of updating. The sink in the bathroom was disconnecting, meaning everytime you used it, water poured on the floor.
• Andreas (10/5): Exceptional - We rented the apartment in the ground floor. We had everything we needed, a big plus was the washing machine and the big fridge. We didn't bother to cook since best breakfast was provided and the Chefs in the restaurant on the rooftop give all to make your taste buds happy. The location is good. The beach is reachable within a few minutes walk. The owner is also helping to arrange tours.

The location is very close to the beach, so it was the best place to spend my holiday season.

Quite spacious room, large and comfortable bed, properly installed and working air conditioner. Mini refrigerator in the room. We liked the breakfast, a mixture of continental and local cuisine. It’s difficult to find the first time; you have to go through the yard of the neighboring house (also owned by the owners). Average room cleaning. Upon arrival, they gave us one beach towel, but then they didn’t give us any at all. Then they gave me the usual for the bathroom. Wi-Fi didn’t work at first, we told the owner and he resolved the issue and Wi-Fi started working, but very slowly! No safe in the room.

• Angie (8/5): Will definitely stay here again if we get the chance - The family were so attentive and helpful. For example we had a little rain when we stayed and they brought my washing in and then moved it to keep pace with the sun. The roof top restaurant is surrounded by trees. We saw the most spectacular birds each morning when we ate our breakfast...and the food was inventive and delicious and each breakfast had a different twist. Thank you I don't mean to be ungrateful but the seats in the restaurant were very hard and deep so sitting was uncomfortable

• Fleur (8/5): Comfortable, clean, calm and a short walk from the most beautiful beach! - The room was spacious and really clean, there was a kettle and fridge in the room too which was a bonus, and hot water in the bathroom. The location was a little bit more isolated than we expected- hidden behind some houses away from the main road.
• Dominik (8/5): A nice stay in Bentota - The owners were very friendly and tried their best to help us, offering us a taxi service to get to and from the wedding nearby (even at 11pm). The room was spacious, and the bathroom was nice. Also, the restaurant on the rooftop was very good - the food was tasty, fresh and reasonably priced. Upstairs we had some issues with the water pressure. The location is a bit tricky to find too - had some trouble explaining the drivers where to go 🤗

We did complimentary laundry which is great but unfortunately it came out smelling worse than went in! This may be due to it being left outside our room wet for us to hang and unsure how long it was there.

The location might be a little tough to find at first, luckily we had a transportation arranged from the airport so we didnt have any problems with that!

The hosts were very friendly and lovely, super recommended. The location is not super easy to find for the first time, but I called the host and he sent a tuk tuk to pick me up from the train station for free :)
