• David (1/5): Filthy rooms so bad I had to leave without staying over night. - The owner seemed nice, the location was really nice. I couldn’t even spend the night. The room was so filthy that I ended up driving home that night.

• Christina (1/5): Never again - The only thing good about this place is that you can see the lake. Dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. It smelt terrible, everything was old and worn down and it was filthy. My room refundable deposit was as much as the room itself. Insulting that they'd think more damage could be done. Definitely saw mouse dropping. Bugs and cobwebs everywhere. Afraid I was going to see a roach. Zero water pressure and they definitely have people living at the hotel.

Needs improvements - Location and easy access I have stayed in many places and this motel has a lot of improvement potential- rooms were not very well cleaned (even with outdated furniture- cleanliness is everything), we had kitchen but no plates, no cutleries.. basically couldn’t use it. I believe it’s overpriced for the amenities provided

It had one cup and no glasses no wash cloth and only 2 small towels. still had garbage in waste basket from previous occupant. Had a stove with no cooking appliances. No coffee unit.

For the price i paid you'd expect better quality supplies and it not to be moldy!

Bacteria on washroom ceiling, all light fixtures have tonnes of bugs in them, toilet was made for a child or person under 4’. This was the WORST MOTEL IN ONTARIO. I have been in a lot of them. This place I would NOT GO AGAIN! He wanted to charge me $25/ hour for an early check in. lol

• David (10/5): Bayside Motel Review - We booked on our way there and did not know what to expect. We were happily surprised by the place and the welcoming assistance we got. We woke up to find the beautiful bay and backyard which was offered to us to spend the day with our 3 years old. Would fully recommend.

It is dated, like a rustic cottage. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. But some detailing is required to bring up to peoples expectation. The out door furniture needs attention to be desirable to enjoy its use.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Deteriorated since covid times - I have stayed twice at this motel before this trip and the cleanliness of the room has deteriorated since then. The mini fridge was very dirty (I had to clean it with a hand towel several times to make it tolerable) and the floor in front of the fridge was also dirty (white hand towel was dark brown with one pass). The window also did not close properly (the panel actually fell when I tried). Other than that, the bed was ok and bathroom looked clean but I opted out of the shower as I did not want to risk it…

Well it had a fridge stove microwave and sink but absolutely no dishes. Would have been nice to know when we booked. Not sure we would stay here again

• FLEMIR_R (2/5): Disgusting rooms and dishonest owne - IT SHOULD BE RATED “MINUS 10” BUT YOU HAVE TO RATE AT LEAST ONE TO PUT A REVIEW. We get in and we’re charged a rate of $175 but rooms rates showed online at $99. Do not pay for room until you inspect. It was disgusting with mould in bathroom, tv wire hanging; stains on carpet and you don’t even dare to use the kitchen. This motel is so disgusting with bugs throughout that I just sat and cried. Here I am a widow with memories of husband and I growing up that this experience with this rude owner. I was tired but I would sleep in my car before I stay there. The shoreline is uninhabitable due to geese and feces all over also. When I asked for a refund after 30 minutes - couldn’t stay there, he tried to give me a “suite”. Just another old moldy room. Said no and he kept 50% of my charge as we used the toilet paper and toilet in the room - we just arrived after a long day of driving and needed the washroom. Ripped off and couldn’t stay. BEWARE OF FILTH, BUGS AND OVERALL GRIME.
• samil889 (2/5): Advise against staying here! - Room was old, full of carpet stains, spider webs and mold all over bathroom. The cable box was hanging from the back of the tv and only stuck on to the bottom of the tv with weird sticky goo. Do not pay for the room until inspecting it! I paid for a room for one night, stayed for 30 minutes & asked for a different room for obvious reasons and was given keys to a 2nd room that was the same state. When I went back to the office to ask for my money back, I was only given a 50% refund since we had "used" the room & toilet paper. (I had to use the bathroom after a long drive). Will not recommend this motel to my worst enemy!!
