Guest Reviews
- Stacey (5/5): Was ok - Location and price No hot water. Makes no sense to have a big tub that you can’t fill. We followed all instructions and it still was cold
- david (3/5): Quiet but grungy. Would not stay again. - Location was great. Nice and quiet. Looked like the grass had not been cut yet this year. Broken blinds, clock battery dead, tub drained very slowly as a result standing ankle deep, bed was very high, lots of paint chipping on the wood frames around the doors. Place needs a complete re-do.
- Melody (8/5): - Enjoyed our Stay, Would recommend Our Villa was above the laundry room, had to use the AC.
- Lynn (7/5): - Lots of room Internet was weak and not able to connect Roku which wasn't a huge deal
- Manley (10/5): -
- Marissa (10/5): -
- Frunko (8/5): Great stay - Our townhouse was very spacious, featuring a well-equipped kitchen (even including a lobster pot), a jacuzzi, and a small private garden area.
- Susan (5/5): -
- AURELIE (9/5): -
- Tonya (10/5): -
- Wade (8/5): - Location Condition of room wasn't the greatest but good for the price paid
- Heather (7/5): Comfortable enough for price. Definitely needs updating. - Friendly staff. Spacious condos. Reasonable price. Condo was not very clean. Alot of dead bugs on the floors and in the bathroom. Water got cold when showering and you could only fill the tub an inch before water got cold. TV would not work because of bad internet and kids couldn't watch movies. Could not connect phones to wifi because the connection was weak.

- Tyrese (10/5): -

- Thomas (5/5): Power was out stayed here - The tub only filled to 1/4 in of water an then the hot water stopped working Spacious

- Patricia (10/5): It was great and relaxing. Wish i could have stayed longer - The rooms are homey and nice

- Janelle (8/5): Spacious lodging - The space was nice and big. It was wonderful to stretch out and also be able to cook some of our own food.
Pool and hot tub were wonderful after a day of hiking in Acadia Park.
Check in- check out were super easy. We liked being able to wash our clothes, but the washers are SMALL, so be prepared to wash many loads. The kitchen options were very limited- would have been nice to have some storage bowls etc.
We stayed in a townhouse style space. The air conditioner was only on the first floor. The rooms upstairs were pretty warm for sleeping. I asked at the desk and the answer we received was the nights get cool and to open the windows. Um, OK.
- angie (8/5): It was good. - The jacuzzi tub, hot tub and pool. Not enough towels, wash cloths, and trash bags. The trash can was tiny.
- Sandra (9/5): - It was clean and comfortable. If I go back that way I would definitely stay there again.
- Thomas (1/5): Bait and switch scam. - Not much to like. Very disappointed with Acadia Village “Resort”. They did let us check in 2 hours early without issue which was appreciated since we had been coming from some distance. The price of 350.00 did not reflect the type of stay usually associated with this level of cleanliness or chores. I have stayed in these types of hotels before and usually have a fantastic experience. We were not looking for top of the line, just clean and reasonable
The townhouse was unclean and dilapidated. Beach sand and grass in one of the tubs, women’s hair accessories left from previous guests. Light fixtures missing covers in another bathroom, furniture with large strange stains, wallpaper peeling, rusted radiators, a bandaid over the smoke detector in one room? Walls covered in mystery drips and squished bugs. Sticky floors and a pill was found in the main bedroom by the bed.
Rules and expectations not shown on the website when I booked this place were taking our garbage to the dumpster across the street and gathering and starting the laundering process, dishes ect. There is also adult swim hours in the morning resulting in the kids not being able to use the pool before we checked out which was a large reason we chose this place.
When I brought all this up to front desk I was met with “ I don’t know what to tell you.” I then tried to find contact information for the general manager to show him the pictures I have taken and to tell him our experience I was unable to find a number or email. All searches left me with the feeling they don’t want to hear how the stays are. I won’t be back or be recommending this place to anyone.
- Samuel (8/5): Good stay - Enjoyed the pool for my granddaughter Whirlpool water flow was inadequate, so could not use.
No AC in bedrooms.
- Patty (10/5): -
- Mary Jean (10/5): We will be back soon to stay at Acadia Village Resort! All was wonderful! Clean and comfortable! - Acadia Village Resort was an outstanding place to stay! So clean and comfortable! All was great!
- Joan (7/5): Ok for the price. - The sofa was stained. The bathroom smelled of mildew. The ladies locker room was dirty.
However, it was the cheapest place I could find near Arcadia National Park. The coffee maker worked but no coffee was provided. The bed was comfy. Water pressure was good. Two bathroom sinks was a,nice feature. Easy drive to Downtown Ellsworth. At least a half hour to Arcadia NP. See above
- Donald (6/5): -
- Brian (10/5): -
- Grady (6/5): For the money paid the room was less than exoected - Did not know there was a breakfast and location was good The room only had air conditioning in bedroom and mattress on pull out was not comfortable at all
- Rishil (10/5): -
- Barbara (10/5): Wonderful - Pretty and clean. Love that we had the pool to ourselves. Three flights of stairs with no elevator. That being said the room was worth it.
- Lorraine (5/5): dissapointing - tv did not work, no one answered the phone when we called the office, the pull out bed was not fit for a cat to
lay on.
- Ralph (6/5): It was ok I would stay there again. -
- Gregory (7/5): -
- Tammie (10/5): Wife - Great time All was good
- Patricia (10/5): -
- Chris (10/5): -
- JAMIE (7/5): - Great location. Our unit had apparently been slept I. The night before and never cleaned. The situation was rectified immediately.

- Bonzi (9/5): -
- muthukumar (10/5): -
- David (1/5): Facility is filthy, worn out, and outdated. Would not recommend. - Away from busy highway. Has a pool & hot tub. Upon checking into unit 42 on 11/28/2026…
No toilet paper in 2 of the 3 bathrooms.
All floors are filthy. There is no way they were vacuumed, let alone cleaned. There is something red spilled by the fridge and stove. I found 3 bottle caps, a used q-tip and a dirty pair of socks in one bedroom. And there is visible dirt every room.
Dirty spoon in the garbage disposal.
Mildew and dried food on the broken dish drainer and a used cut in half sponge.
Dried dead bug and food crumbs in the cupoboards.
Oven had burnt spilt food in the bottom and crumbs and dirt in the pan drawer and rusty pan.
Microwave had grease stains and food on inside and out.
Food splatter on back splash and crumbs on kitchen counter.
Coffee pot was dirty.
Trash under kitchen sink in master bath and a mildewed soap scum bath mat.
The entire unit smells musty.
In the living room one chair has a cigarette burn and food crumbs the recliner had a dirty fork, chip crumbs, and paper trash inside it. The couch had food stains and crumbs on and in the pullout bed.
Downstairs utility closet had a pile of old ant traps, a bottle cap and a dirty kitchen chair inside.
No way to use outside patio space (unless your going to bring your own furniture)
Cant use jacuzzi tub because the hot water supply isn’t enough to be able to fill it.
The master bathroom has a loud worn out exhaust fan.
Also a corded telephone on the kitchen wall that doesnt work and cords plugged in that go to nothing and outlets that dont work (tv in master bedroom)
The second bedroom did not have a tv at all.
This unit is generally dirty, worn out, and in poor condition. Fraying ripped rugs, peeling wallpaper, dirty grout, filthy beat up baseboards and trim, chipping paint, worn out doors, broken blinds, rusty baseboard heat vents, and dirty curtains ect.
- Patricia (10/5): - I
Love
The rooms N/a
- Kathleen (7/5): -
- Donna (5/5): - The information guide given by the front desk The cabin was very outdated with mould on the bathroom doors. Extraction fans didnt work.
Silicone needs redoing in the bathroom as mould is setting in and warping the walls and roof.
Sofa bed couch in the lounge uncomfortable as was the recliner chair.
- Andrew (6/5): -
- SHIJIE (10/5): -
- Jolene (7/5): - We liked the spacious two bedroom unit with hot tub. It was clean and comfortable for our stay. The microwave in our unit was broken #22 and disappointed that the hot tub in the pool area was broken too. Would stay again but will make sure those things mentioned are working properly. We did not like that the hot tub in the pool area was broken and if you lose your hotel key the fee is $100 we feel should be no more than $25
- Missy (10/5): -
- Cheryl (9/5): We would recommend this property to others! - Spacious and had everything needed for our stay.
- Fitch (10/5): Nice getaway - The huge jetted tub was the highlight
Everything was amazing
It is a beautiful quiet place to go for serenity
So relaxing
- Beth (9/5): -
- Robin (7/5): Adequate. Liked having 2 rooms - Didn’t have breakfast Warn older people that two suites have a concrete wall with extra steps
- Shuyi Tang (6/5): - Both the bedrooms and living area are spacious. It's close to grocery shopping and main road. Some furnitures have been heavily used, and should be replaced. The mattress is not comfortable.
- Ligia (8/5): -
- Caroline (9/5): -
- Jason (1/5): Run. For god sakes stay away. - Nothing. From the moment you walk
In your greeted with old musky smoke and mold smell. Everything is old and dirty. Everything. Got in trouble with my work because they say they have wifi but since it's shared with every unit and done as cheaply as possible you cant actually do anything but maybe watch tv of others are watching too. To slow to even browse the internet let alone do work. The jazuzzi they say they pffernis useless since you only get 2 mins of hot water so you cant fill it. Everything is dated to the 80s. We had to wash my one year old daughters hands every time she crawled on the floor since the carpets were old and smelled of smoke and mold. The furniture stunk. Everything made you feel disgusting inside. We tried to stay out as late as possible with two kids just to spend as little time as possible their. They should be sued for how awful otnos and what they charge. Worst experience ever. Mop was so old it looked like it was from the 80s. The 90s dirt devel vacume was shot and picks nothing but leaves a moldy smell which explains the dirt in the rugs but the same smell as if someone goes in there and pretends to vacume. The 2nd bed rooms bathroom you can barely access because they installed a toilet to large and the door doesn't open. We were scammed.
- Giovanni (9/5): -
- Mandi (2/5): - Location Wasn't clean, we actually vacuumed and cleaned floors but the vacuum in the unit didn't work. Not sure how long it had been since the unit was mopped and vacuumed well. We all got sick since the visit not impressed what so ever for the amount we paid per night.
- Wolfgang (7/5): - Alles gut!
- Thaddeus (8/5): -
- Nereo (8/5): -
- vicki (8/5): Good location and idea, but furnishings need to be kept up. - Close to town, national park. Liked the full size coffee pot and kitchen Furnishings, esp sofa terribly dirty. Carpet was as well.
- Michele (8/5): Good Accommodation - very quiet in late October. - This property is a part of a 4 unit cabin. Each two units share an entrance and the washer/dryer. It is the size of a small apartment. We stayed a bit late for the season, so most of the other cabins were empty. I liked having a washer and dryer, and there is a complete kitchen. It would be very easy to stay for much longer. There are lots of cabins, with good outdoor space. Not sure if it could get quite noisy in the summer season. The internet is very slow.
- Mare (8/5): - A spacious apartment with a shared convenient, laundry. Very comfortable bed.
A nice indoor pool.
The staff was very helpful in honoring our request to reduce our stay from two nights to one. No ice makers. Only ice trays in the room.
No coffee packets for the coffee maker. We had to shop for coffee.
We couldn’t get either the living room or bedroom TV to work. It shouldn’t have been that complicated.
- Pat (9/5): Was fine -
- Narendra (7/5): -
- Jude (7/5): - This is a nice property but just a little overpriced imo.
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Susan (6/5): This unit wasn’t a good value and I can’t recommend it. - Location was good and close to restaurants and grocery stores and 30 min from Bar Harbor. The space was nice. Be aware that the manor condos are 3 floors with no elevator. I didn’t see that on booking.com. Make sure you message the management before booking if stairs are a problem. The furnishings are very dated and scratched and carpet is worn. Front office agreed they needed refurbished. The internet makes streaming buffer.
- DiBernardo (8/5): - It was clean, roomy, and a good location for a great price. Pool/hot tub close way too early so never got to use and was a reason the location was chosen. Arrived late night to find out we had no sheets for the pull out and no way to get any which made for an interesting night. Asked for them the next morning and we still hadn’t received any by the next evening until we had to go over and request again.
- Yu (10/5): -
- Mary (9/5): Nice, restful place to stay and do our laundry. - This was a clean, well run property. Very comfortable stay. It was a bit strange to be asked to put our sheets and towels in a laundry basket and take the trash to a dumpster when only staying for one night.
- DEANIA (7/5): -
- Linda (7/5): I was very happy with the staff. Everyone was very pleasant and attentive. I believe management could do better. - The staff was excellent. Very friendly and dealt with my issues promptly. 1.The sofa beds need replacing.
2.The quality of the paper towels and toilet paper were subpar. I understand the need to save money however, when you are using twice as much, there is little savings. You’d be better off buying Sam’s Club brand.
3. A corkscrew for wine would be nice.
4. The stove drip pans were filthy It appears the previous guests burnt terribly, however housekeeping took care of it immediately.
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Ravinder (5/5): -
- Cav (9/5): Nice place to stay - Like an apart hotel, so you get an apartment with living room and kitchen (stayed in Manor). Clean and comfortable. The location is about 30/40 minutes to Acadia park entrance. The hotel asks you to put the linens in to a basket, put dirty dishes in to the dishwasher, and take the trash out at the end of your stay. I found this to be annoying.
- Scott (4/5): Not a terrible place but definitely not the best. - Location was good. Outdated and had only one A/C unit which was downstairs and it was hot upstairs every night. Internet connection was so slow you couldn’t watch tv at night.
- Diane (7/5): -
- Harika (7/5): -
- Tracy (7/5): - Location
Cleanliness
Facilities Poor WiFi coverage and connection
Affected TV and mobile network connection
- Kathleen (8/5): -
- NC (7/5): - The gym, townhouse was big and spacious We were asked to take out the trash and take off the linens before checking out, no housekeeping.
I supermercati erano vicini.
- Karen (9/5): Anniversary trip - How close it was to local Bar Harbor and restaurants Cannot think of anything
- Eric (6/5): -
- Garcia (9/5): - Ease of checking in, park in front of the door. Large and comfortable. Older facility and furniture but still comfortable.
- Carolyn (7/5): It was a good place to stay and close to several restaurants. - Our unit was roomy and had everything we needed.
- Shih (9/5): -
