• Jan (8/5): Uitzonderlijke mooie locatie en zeer warm personeel en gastheer - De warme ontvangst, de top locatie en het meedenken met de klant (we hadden een vlucht om 3 uur in de ochtend). Vergeet ook zeker niet het super sjieke kasteel te bezoeken (we kregen er een top rondleiding) !

• David (9/5): A great place to stay and relax, close to the city. - Beautiful location just outside Lilongwe, lovely grounds to walk in, nature reserve adjacent. Helpful guide offered game drives and bird watching trips. Gym needs updating - little of the equipment worked! Swimming pool needs repainting - otherwise everything was great!

They helped us with anything we needed. The place itself is a beautiful oasis in Lilongwe. We instantly felt at peace when we arrived back to the lodge. nothing

Had a wonderful dinner at their restaurant - super friendly staff. It is rated 3-stars but would personally rate them 4-stars!

The grounds, gardens and game park are lovely to enjoy a stroll or drive, we particularly liked the Ostrich! We will be returning without a doubt.

• Julie (10/5): Perfect getaway - Great staff, beautiful gardens and surroundings, spacious and cozy rooms. The food was great as well. Ideal for a quiet getaway, but still close enough to the town. The location is very secluded and about 30 minutes from the town. You are dependent on a car/transport, but the staff are very helpful regarding this!

The swimming pool was warm and clean, my room was sparkling clean and they made my birthday morning very nice. They sang for me plus a "cake". Lizzy, in particular, was very welcoming and warm. Thank you, Kumbali. I will come again Be generous with the sausage at breakfast lol. I wanted both pork and beef 😋😋 but just got one beef sausage

• Kabous (9/5): Superb - Fantastic and warm people, great location with excellent peaceful environment. The Staff and Owner are very accommodating. If you want to be in the country but a stone's throw from the city, Kumbali Country Lodge is the place to visit Internet and Wi-Fi connection, although relatively stable, is extremely slow, making work time a bit challenging. I have no other dislikes to mention.

• Christopher (9/5): Beautiful property at the edge of Lilongwe - Beautiful property outside of the city with lovely large rooms surrounded by nature. It's a sprawling property you can walk around and enjoy. Nice pool and a good restaurant. Great staff. Overall enjoyed my stay a lot. Everything was great expect the wifi, and I say that by Malawi standards, which is really slow. But the wifi essentially doesn't work in the rooms. You can send whatsapp messages but that's about it.

The gardens and surroundings are lovely and we enjoyed going for walks. The shakshuka with eggs for breakfast was quite watery and undercooked, but other than that the food was great.

• Boris (9/5): Beautiful Malawi rural country experience - The Lodge is located in a beautiful countryside environment. Food is great but costly, especially the main courses for lunch and dinner. The place offers good confort combined with nature. Staff are very kind and proactive, always greeting and asking how they can make your stay better. It offers everything to cover all your confort requirements and immediate needs. A few specific items: the pool could be closer to the venue and larger; currently it feels like isolated from the overall feeling of the place. WiFi is okay for simple uses, e.g., in your phone, but not for intense work in your laptop that might require more bandwidth. Food prices are costly, especially for main courses, although the food itself is great cooked and very flavourful. The hotel airport transfer default cost is twice the amount other drivers offer; this could be negotiated and reduced.

The location is difficult to access other restaurants, you you tend to stay there.
