May (10/5): - I had a wonderful 4-night stay at Boutique Hotel Stresa. The hotel is elegant, comfortable, and very well maintained, with friendly and attentive staff throughout my stay. A special mention goes to the spa, which was absolutely excellent—beautifully designed, relaxing, and the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Stresa. The entire experience was peaceful and enjoyable, and I would happily stay here again. Highly recommended. I honestly couldn't find anything significant to complain about. My stay was very enjoyable.

Daniel (8/5): Très bien, mais attention au moment de paiement ! - L'emplacement idéal et la qualité de l'hébergement ! A l'arrivée, l'hôtel bloque sur la carte de crédit un montant équivalent à l'hébergement et aux consommations éventuelles. Dans mon cas environ 2000 euros pour deux jours. Au moment du départ, au lieu d'utiliser ce montant, la préposée à demandé un paiement immédiat qui a été débité instantanément de mon compte. Je me suis donc retrouvé avec un retrait de mon compte de près de 4000 euros. La préposée a reconnu avoir fait une erreur, mais j'ai dû attendre 5 jours pour qu'une solution soit trouvée à cette situation avec des explications embrouillées et contradictoires des responsables de L'hôtel. Donc au moment de payer faites attention à votre addition et à ce que l'on vous demande de payer.

Olivia (9/5): Séjour fabuleux dans un endroit magique - Séjour très agréable- l’emplacement de l’hôtel est parfait pour découvrir la région et notamment aller visiter les îles Borromées. L’hôtel est luxueux sans être ostentatoire. La chambre était d’une très belle taille, avec un lit immense, une salle de bain magnifique tout en marbre. Très luxueuse. La salle du bar/restaurant avec ses baies vitrées et sa terrasse donnant sur le lac est très belle. Petit déjeuner très savoureux et personnel très serviable. Tout était parfait. Seul petit bémol: une vraie piscine avec une profondeur pour nager serait la bienvenue même si le bassin est agréable pour se rafraîchir.

The breakfast was spectacular, both for its delicious selection and the stunning view over Lago Maggiore. Dinner was equally superb, and we truly appreciated the team arranging a table for us on a short notice. A memorable experience all around.

Der Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage wird nicht separat berichtet. Die Zimmer sind etwas kühl gestaltet. Aber das ist ja Geschmacksache. Ohne Zusatzbuchung & Zusatzgebühren kann keine Sauna genutzt werden.
Michael (4/5): Great amenities - Lackluster execution - Amenities were there, parking was splendid, location great as well with cute market area next door. Nice spa area, friendly staff and amazing cleanliness and great room. Service felt uncoordinated, with no clear ownership, leading to multiple touchpoints but no one truly responsible for the guest experience. Communication was inconsistent throughout, from delayed pre-arrival messaging to unclear interactions at the bar and during breakfast. There was unnecessary friction in simple processes, such as booking the spa, which should have been handled seamlessly. Operational discipline seemed weak, especially with the housekeeping incident, which should never occur at this level. Food and beverage execution did not align with pricing or positioning, particularly at dinner. Taken together, these small but repeated gaps created a fragmented experience that falls short of a 5-star standard.
Walter Adrian (10/5): Excellent for a short escape in style. - Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse im 4. Stock bietet einen unglaublich schönen Blick auf die Inseln und die Promenade. Das am Tisch zubereitet Fruchtbrot mit Ricotta, Honig und Amalfi-Zitronen Raspel ist köstlich.. ! Es ist alles noch so neu, dass die Abläufe aber insbesondere die Technik noch nicht reibungslos funktionieren (Türkarte, Steckdosen). Das Personal war aber sehr hilfsbereit und hat alle Schwierigkeiten behoben.

Dr. Wolfgang (4/5): Naja - Wir waren vom 5.4. bis 9.4. im Hotel Stresa. Es fing schon mit einem komischen Empfang an. In der Anmeldung waren 4 Personen . Es dauerte bis man sich einig war wer unsere Anmeldung bearbeiten sollte. Dann haben wir das Gepäck ausgeladen und einem Herrn auf Wunsch den Autoschlüssel überlassen, weil er das Auto in der Garage parken wollte. Zwischenzeitlich ging jemand der sich sichtlich Mühe gab mit uns zum Zimmer . Dabei funktionierten schon die Zimmerkarten gar nicht oder unzureichend. Nachdem ein Versuch gelang und das Zimmer offen war, wurde uns zeitnah das Gepäck nachgeliefert. Zuvor wurden wir noch darauf hingewiesen, dass man sich zwar einen Kaffee in der einfachen Kapselmaschine machen könne , das aber zu bezahlen sei ; ebenso die Wasserflasche . In der Jugendherberge hätte mich das nicht verblüfft, aber in einem 5 Sternehotel bei einem Zimmerpreis von rund 800.--€/pro die war es ungewöhnlich. Ich hatte mein Handy im Auto vergessen und bat in der Anmeldung um meinen Autoschlüssel. Es folgten Anrufe und mehrere Debatten bis ich endlich zu meinem Schlüssel kam . Der Pkw war so eingeparkt, dass die Fahrertür nur spaltweise zu öffnen war, ohne Parkplatz not wohlgemerkt. Das Zimmer war im wesentlichen sauber. Eine klebrige Stelle auf dem Schreibtisch war bei der Ankunft und bei der Abreise immer noch vorhanden. Die Einrichtung mag zwar stylisch sein, ist aber zum Teil mehr wie unpraktisch. Als Beispiel : zieht man am Toilettenpapier an - so wie es montiert ist - würde man sich den Arm verrenken und das Papier würde durch den Raum fliegen. Nach meiner Meinung ist der Halter verkehrt montiert . Das soll nu verdeutlichen , was gemeint ist . Der Duschbereich ist beim Benutzen spiegelglatt, der stylische Duschkopf unhandlich usw.. Das mag teuer sein , aber es erscheint in meinen Augen doch lieblos eingerichtet. Zuvor waren wir in einem 5 Sternehotel am Bodensee , wahrscheinlich waren wir deshalb ernüchtert ,. weiß ich wovon ich rede. Wir hatten eine Suite mit Blick auf die Isola Bella . Ein wunderbarer Anblick , nur kam auf dem Balkon die Ernüchterung : seitlich am Hotel die stark befahrene Nebenstrasse, vor dem Hotel die noch stärker frequentierte Hauptstrasse, und das bei unzureichender Schallisolierung der Fenster. Wir waren die halbe Nacht durch den Verkehrslärm wach. Hier ist meines Erachtens nur ein Gartenzimmer sinnvoll. Der Platz der Terrasse im 4. Stock ist herrlich, die Möbel bequem und ein traumhafter Blick auf den See. Dort war auch das geschickt drapierte Frühstück. Es war geschickt auf mehreren kleineren Tischen verteilt , so viel das begrenzte Angebot weniger auf. 2 Fruchtsäfte , 3 Sorten Jogurt , Wurst in ungekühltem Behältern, relativ viel Kuchen , 3 Brotsorten, keine Brötchen, Butter nur auf Anforderung und da nur ein Flöckchen. Von einem 5 Sternehotel mit dem Preis hätte ich eine andere Leistung erwartet. Der Gipfel war dann, als wir vor dem Aufzug standen , kam der Manager aus der Tür und ging grußlos vorbei. Für mehr wie 3000.--€ hätte er wenigstens freundlich lächeln können. Alles in Allem ein sehr gemischtes Bild und für ein 5 Sternehaus zu wenig.

Hotel nas je oduševio u svakom pogledu – od prvog trenutka kada smo stigli pa sve do samog odlaska. Sobe su bile besprijekorno uređene, udobne i s prekrasnim pogledom, a svaki detalj pokazuje koliko se pažnje posvećuje gostu. Osoblje je jednostavno izvanredno – profesionalni, uvijek nasmijani i spremni pomoći u svakoj situaciji, dajući osjećaj da ste zaista dobrodošli. Doručak i ponuda hrane bili su vrhunski, s pažljivo odabranim sastojcima i fantastičnom prezentacijom. Lokacija hotela je savršena – samo nekoliko koraka od jezera i centra, a opet dovoljno mirna za potpuni odmor. Rijetko se nađe mjesto gdje se kombiniraju luksuz, toplina i osjećaj doma, ali ovaj hotel upravo to uspijeva postići. Naš boravak bio je iznad svih očekivanja, i sigurno ćemo se vratiti.
