- CBMahoney (10/5): The Impressive Annex - We loved this annex! Spacious, light & bright, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Pippa is a great host & had every comfort we could think of! Also a wonderful communicator!
Highly recommend Central Thame Cottage!!!!
Thank you Pippa & Tom We loved everything.

- Brian (9/5): Great place to stay for a night in Thame. - The property was an excellent example of a modern renovation of an old property. It was very comfortable. The location is great, being very central to Thame. The owners provided tea, coffee, milk and orange juice - plus two miniature bottles of wine which was a nice touch. Nothing of note
- Richard (10/5): Excellent, clean and comfy cottage - Great location, very clean & tidy Nothing

- Kate (10/5): Loved it! - We chose Central Thame Cottage as a local place to stay to attend a wedding in Brill. We could not have chosen better. It's lovely, super clean, well appointed, lovely linens, pillows etc. The internet works really well, there was milk, juice...even wine!. The host was super kind, great communication, we had all the information we needed well in advance and she was available on the phone. We loved this place and recommended it to lots of the locals at the wedding for any friends or family. We would definitely stay here again. Nothing
- Trevor (10/5): Very comfortable and cozy stay. - Great location and very comfortable cottage. A very and standard of furnishings. Very good WiFi and nice personalised communications from the owners. Maybe the bathroom could use a little upgrade but all very functional and efficient.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Cosy, and everything you need for a short stay. The bed was so comfortable, it was warm and welcoming when we got there.
- Deborah (10/5): THE most comfortable bed, ever. - Lovely little cottage right in the centre of town.
- Kerry (10/5): Excellent!! - The accommodation was clean and spacious, featuring a large, well-maintained room with modern decor. The bed was extremely comfortable, with plush pillows and high-quality linens that ensured a restful sleep. The host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
- Sarah (10/5): A Great Stay - Pippa was lovely. She allowed us to check in earlier than normal as we had a local wedding to attend. The bed was comfortable and we had a lovely night sleep. The cottage had everything we needed. Wine, water, milk, coffee, teas and orange juice were supplied although we didn't drink the wine. We would recommend staying here. Nothing we didn't like.
- Anthony (9/5): - Location Bathroom a bit dated
- Amy (6/5): A lovely property in close proximity to the center, but a few hang ups that need to be addressed - Nice and spacious, really like the decor. Bed was comfortable and great location as only a short walk to high street When I arrived I hadn’t received instructions on how to enter the property, after phoning the host she explained the main door had been broken so explained how to get in, she came across very friendly and helpful. Once I entered the property, although it’s a very lovely space, I quickly noticed that the carpets had a lot of dirt and stains on them and it gave me the impression they hadn’t been hoovered. Furthermore I was greeted with around 7 already dead or dying wasps, over the carpet and sofa, which I found odd as there were no open windows. I’m convinced there’s a wasp nest somewhere, maybe in the chimney? This was a continuous theme during my stay of having to pick up dead wasps at the end of the day.
I noticed a few cobwebs aswell, across the ceiling, under window sills and behind the bedroom door. Although the essentials were clean (bed/towels/bathroom) it came across that some things were an afterthought. I was slightly disappointed that although I was booked for 3nights/4days that only one toilet roll was provided. Not the biggest of issues but as you can’t obviously buy single toilet rolls from shops, I didn’t care for the extra expense of having to buy a whole pack for my stay after already paying £400+ to stay at the property, usually a few are provided at least.
Lastly, this property is probably not the best for light sleepers. I’m not a light sleeper myself but found on the first night I probably had one of the most frustrating nights of my life trying to pinpoint where a certain noise was originating from. There is central heating throughout the property which is a great thing, and I turned this off at both monitors before I went to bed. What I quickly realised was every 10/15minutes a dull whirring/humming sound would start up, last for around 5-10minutes, turn off and then repeat.
- Debbie (10/5): Would stay again!!! And stay for longer. - Charming cottage behind a thatched-roof pub. Warm, cozy, and inviting. Owner supplied dishes, fresh milk and orange juice. It was perfect!

- Serene (8/5): A wonderful cottage stay close to Oxford - We loved the modern decor, it was a very cosy and lovely place to stay whilst we were visiting Oxford. A really lovely & quiet area. The parking was free & was also convenient and outside the property. The hosts kindly left us water, bottles of juice & milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch, and the central heating system warms the entire cottage!
The bed was super comfy & the pillows were great! I love the ceiling windows overlooking the sky! Great design touch! I wish there was a larger kitchen area to prepare food if needed, and the central heating system made a loud noise every few minutes.
- Emma (8/5): Well presented accommodation, had a lovely stay - Visited some friends based in Thame and location was perfect and very central. The pub right next door had great food and wasn’t loud (we went on a colder weekend but I imagine there would be more people outside on summer weekends - and the outside area is very close to the accommodation).
The property was clean and well presented, very warm and homely. A little bit wear and tear but expected as holiday accommodation

- Moira (9/5): A lovely little haven in Thame. - The cottage was clean, warm, and slap bang next to the Thatch pub, where I had an excellent evening meal in a private room with friends. Drinking water, milk, juice and a small bottle of white wine were provided. I felt it was easy to communicate with Pippa, one of the hosts, so should I have needed anything, I felt supported. The heating circuit was a little noisy at night, and woke me more than once. I’d advise ear plugs if you’re sensitive to such things.
Although I didn’t need WiFi whilst staying the one night, I don’t know if it was available. It’s possible you might be able to use WiFi from the pub next door as it’s so close!
- Caroline (10/5): -
- Adam (10/5): - The cottage was lovely, it was very clean and a decent size perfect for a long weekend. The hosts were very accommodating and let us check in early as we had a wedding to attend.
I would definitely stay again! Nothing
- Danielle (10/5): - Very comfortable and clean property within walking distance of Thame's high street. The complimentary wine and orange juice were nice touches too. The host was lovely and very accommodating, allowing us to remain parked at the property after checkout while we explored Thame. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
- Denise (9/5): Quiet, modern and clean over night stay - Well equipped, quiet and very clean. Good location and with parking Didnt receive any info re check in so had to ring owner - not a big deal though
- Viktoriia (10/5): location in the city center, modern design and comfortable furniture. No TV, but you don't need it for relaxation. I - Cleanliness, comfort, design
- Paul (10/5): -
- Chloe (7/5): Good - Comfortable, spacious, fast WiFi, great location. No TV, shower could have been more powerful, not super private.
- Emily (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (5/5): Disappointed looked nice on Booking.com - Location Stains on Furniture and carpet in lounge.
No facilities for washing up .No Tv
Uncomfortable Sofa and Bed
Bathroom sink and mirror dirty
Car Parked under Tree covered in Tree,Dirt and Bird Mess.(Allocated Parking)
- Terry (10/5): Plenty of room nice and comfortable - Location
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Kelly (10/5): Extremely comfy and nicely finished property - No breakfast included
- Raymond (8/5): We had a most enjoyable stay but would probably not select at this cottage again. - The hosts could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The cottage is situated in a beautiful yard with flowers and lovely trees. The interior is also more than pleasing to the eye. The hosts had left a bottle of wine for us, and a jar of Nescafe. The cottage is very conveniently located in Thame, on the main street and near the shops and eateries.
Our only disappointment was that there was no kitchenette. There's a very small fridge, and a small microwave, but not enough to prepare small meals and no table at which to sit and consume them (no chairs). All this would not have been a problem if we'd been staying for two or three nights, but we were there for two weeks.
- Terry (10/5): A little gem , loads of space - Perfect location
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judith (8/5): user friendly and handy - very user friendly to enter property and use. appreciate the milk and wine provided. Not a problem to me, but it's a (big) sitting room, bathroom and bedroom, no kitchinette tho a fridge and basic plates/cutlery are provided.
- Michael (10/5): Great location and lovely annexe - Lovely little annexe, fantastic location for our 2 nights for an event at Haddenham
- Charlene (9/5): Great location to explore Thame, very easy check in and out. Bed was so comfy - Very cute, comfy place. We loved the little extras of wine, orange juice and water. Could maybe use a radio or tv.
- Kelly (8/5): Very good - Its a great location and very easy from start to finish
- Nichola (9/5): Superb - Beautiful property in an excellent central location
- Vennie (7/5): Good - Clean warm and tidy Wasn’t ready on time
- Helen (9/5): Great accommodation in the centre of Thame - A charming old building, thoughtfully renovated into a spacious and comfortable accommodation for 2. The bed was very comfortable with lovely bedlinen. The wine was appreciated and the tea and coffee was good quality. The whole place was very comfortable and warm with plenty of hot water. I was surprised at there not being a kitchen, but there was a fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave for the basics which was fine for us. I probably did not read the information properly.
