- Chanel (10/5): -
- VIKING (9/5): THE BEAUTIFUL UNDERBERG COTTAGE - The Views, the privacy and the coziness is unbelievable. Maybe a backup generator for emergencies. But everything is great.
- Despina (8/5): Well worth every scent - Scenery , great bed Nothing! I am a farm girl so love this
- Casariee (10/5): Peaceful heavenly place - Absolutely beautiful stay, house was very well equipped, had everything u could need. Views were stunning, peaceful place to relax and unwind. Will return soonπ Just the bathroom, should have had 1 more shower. Water went cold and we had to wait a while to bath.

- Vanessa (8/5): - Beautiful, cosy and well-equipped cottage. Gorgeous views. Peaceful and quiet. We had a blast. Perfect place for family fun. One shower for 9 people was a bit hectic. A bigger TV would be nice.
- Raees (8/5): -
- Hannah (10/5): -
- Kerry-lyn (10/5): - This place lacked nothing.
- Foster (8/5): Very good -
- Dewlal (9/5): Was enjoyable and relaxing. - Location convenient. Close to shopping centre. The cottage and facilities was lovely. The cottage requires another bathroom or shower as it only has 1 bathroom with a toilet & a single toilet.
The 2 bedroom heaters needed to be upgraded especially for the winter months. 1 in the passage was cracked so not in use.
1 pool table ball could not be found in arrival to the cottage but we where still able to enjoy games off pool. Esther who was cleaning the windows at the time was informed.
- Theron (9/5): Superb -
- Tarryn (10/5): Exceptional - All the stuff to keep kids occupied wifi ,pool table and games Nothing
- Jeanette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (8/5): Awesome comfort place to stay! - Perfectly located for what we needed. Very comfortable. Nothing. Was an issue with the water but was quickly and easily solved.
- Pretorius (7/5): Good - Lovely little place, everything has been thought of. The only downside, the place was leaking quite a lot when it rained. Other than that all was fine.
- Kate (10/5): The house was cosy and well equipped. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Beautiful views and garden. A lovely stay. - The house was cosy and well equipped. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Beautiful views and garden. A lovely stay.
- Christy (7/5): Comfy and beautiful! - The location is beautiful!! Sundowners on the lawn are a must. The beds are really comfortable and the cottage is spacious enough for 6.
Security is super (although we felt safe anyway). Check in and out are super easy.
Nickie is great and answered any questions quickly. Just felt like a good spring clean and thorough dusting would give the place a fresh feel.
- Gary (7/5): Good - The location, the panoramic view, neat garden, and well equipped kitchen. Inadequate lighting in living area and kitchen
- Lance.fayers (10/5): Wished I stayed one extra night to really enjoy the cottage & unwind. Will definitely be returning!! - The property & the views from it, the facilities i.e, "Gas Stove", "Fireplace", "comfy beds", "games for the kids (outdoor & indoor), "Plunger set" for the coffee lovers and overall security at the cottage (even though the place already felt safe) Previous guest's "items" still left in the bedroom draw, they just need to be thorough with the cleaning.
Otherwise everything was in order.
- Lindelani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amin (8/5): Very good - Close to town. The scenery was excellent. Close to Lesotho boarder, carry your SA passport. It's worth the view. The property is huge, and the beds are comfortable. The lawn was beautiful. Very peaceful. The kitchen was well equipped. π The pool table and table tennis are available, but you need to set it up, and it was broken. Maybe the owners should think about extending the covered porch and adding this outside for easy accessibility. Also, add more emergency lights as the booklet says 3, but there was only 1 in the bathroom.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Great cottage with view over the valley. Plenty of space Hard to find
- Claire (9/5): Mini break to NUD - The cottage was lovely. Beds very comfy! The views were stunning π Having no water after 8pm. But we understood as it was the whole area. Bedside lamp didn't work but got a spare from another room.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good - View and facilities
- Brian (8/5): Very good - Beaitifull setting
- Etgoinghome (1/5): Bad - My father went into ICU when we were in South Africa so we had to cut short our travels and rush back to him whilst my parents in law and brother in law carried on travelling around South Africa. We tried to cancel Underberg Cottage and get a refund but they are the only place in South Africa who were more concerned about money than compassion even though I sent a video of my father in ICU (very sadly he subsequently passed away) to show that I was not making this up.
The place we were supposed to stay at before Underberg Cottage which was the very same day we left South Africa agreed to waive all charges relating to my immediate family and only charge the remaining travellers. This meant that we essentially cancelled on the same day ie on the first of two nights' stay. Four other properties we had booked (all also non refundable) were far kinder and willing to partially give a refund or come to an arrangement to help us in our situation.
I was trying to cancel this booking to book a smaller place that is closer to the shops and restaurants for my in-laws as they are not well set up to cook without us being there. After much wrangling they eventually offered a 50% refund but required my in laws to move out for the second night. As much as it is further from the shops and restaurants than ideal I can't see how I can ask them to move when I am six time zones away and they are going on a Sani Pass tour for the whole day from 8am. It simply isn't tenable at this stage for people in their seventies to be moving from night to night.
Watching your father go into ICU at short notice and dying is distressing enough without having such admin to work through at a time of deep grief.
- Izak (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (8/5): Very good - A lovely, comfortable cottage which suited our needs for the weekend. The road to the cottage was quite hard to find (despite the great directions) and wasnβt in great condition.
- Marlinke (9/5): Superb -
- Heinz (9/5): Superb - If there was one thing i could change, would be a proper braai. I hate gas braais. But that a personal choice and i also understand that the thatch roof probably does not allow for one.
- William (10/5): The road to the property could be imnproved - The location was wonderful
- Bronwyn (10/5): Absolutely beautiful ... -
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - It was best for the price. Want to go again. Very nice hosts The power kept on going off. But that was due to Eskom. But they had backup lights
- Kelsey (9/5): It was extremely beautiful, calm, serene atmosphere,Keep up the great Job Nikki π house was perfect π - Absolutely nothing, everything was just on point .
- Liezel (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, clean, make you feel at home cottage. Nickie and Warren went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect
