The rooms and the pool were very clean. We loved our time at the retreat and highly recommend a visit! The accessibility of the retreat is affected by the poor quality of the road. But it should not be a problem if you have a capable car.

We also loved the nearby hikes and the local food in Coín—especially the paella at Bar Restaurante Sabor Andaluz! Nothing at all—it was perfect!

Near to Coin for shops and restaurants and great sites to see in the surrounding area. The hosts were brilliant and made us feel.so welcome and almost like part of the family (we even got a song or two on our last night from Lorraine). • Corinne (10/5): Wonderful experience which ticked every box - The location is beautiful and just a short drive to local restaurants. Mark and Loraine are increíble hosts and made us feel so welcome. The property has such a friendly vibe and we felt like family rather than guests. We also had the pleasure of a live jazz performance from Loraine which was a wonderful experience. The pool area is gorgeous and with a bar on site. Breakfast was included and was lovely. I would highly recommend this property for a relaxing stay. We will definitely return. Nothing could have been better.

• Christinaki (10/5): Far from the madding crowd.. - This lovely property was a little slice of heaven, beautiful room, lovely pool and jacuzzi, incredible views and Lorraine and Mark the owners really went out of their way to make me feel completely welcome and at home. As a solo traveller it can sometimes be a bit lonely, but they checked in with me and even drove me into the little town when I needed it, as I don't drive. It was a super place to wind down and literally smell the 🌹🌹.. Nothing.
• Sofiaelin (4/5): Unexpected rules and pressure to participate - The retreat was not crowded, the countryside setting was calm and peaceful, and the pool was refreshing. The place itself is cute, and the host was helpful. On the last day, we were told that any photos or videos we wanted to post online needed to be sent to the hostess for approval first. This wasn’t mentioned at any point before and led to an uncomfortable conversation. We also felt constant pressure to join group activities like dinners, karaoke and spontaneous water aerobics. Saying no wasn’t really accepted, which made it hard to relax. The location is also difficult to reach without a car—Google Maps doesn’t show the right route, and local taxis couldn’t find it. We had to rely on transport arranged by the hosts. Might suit guests who want a very social, hosted experience—but not ideal if you're looking for peace and independence.

The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and full of character, I felt right at home. Your attention to detail – from little welcome touches to thoughtful guidance – did not go unnoticed. Mark and Lorraine, You are wonderful! Thank you again for everything. Dragonfly Retreat is a truly special place, and I can’t wait to return one day.
• Robert (10/5): Fantastic place, 101% recommended - Idyllic location with beautifully fitted and decorated accommodation. Everything you needed for a relaxing break was in the accomodation and the owners couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Lovely people and couldn’t do enough to make sure we were comfortable and happy. There is a great pool area with sun loungers for relaxation in the calm quiet environment and a bar area where breakfast is also served. The breakfast was ideal and it was great to be able to sit and eat in the sun. The owners regularly provide entertainment and although it wasn’t open when we were there, they even have an indoor jazz club and music venue. It’s such a nice place. Coin, the local town, is not far away and has everything you need there. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops there and it looked like quite a cute town. All in all this place is amazing and I just can’t wait to go back. Being out in the country there are some flies and mosquitos so if you’re sensitive to mozzies it might be a good idea to bring some repellant. That’s no fault of the accommodation, it is something that happens in much of Spain and cannot be helped.
• Rachel (9/5): Great family Hideaway in stunning location - This was a little gem tucked away high up in the Andulucian hills. It was a spacious apartment overlooking a gorgeous swimming pool which we made good use of! Lane for about 3 miles up to the apartment from Coin very narrow and full of pot holes - didn't bother us too much for 2 nights though.

We were looking for something slightly different to a 'normal' break , situated in the Spanish countryside , it's a very peaceful place , where you can just relax and enjoy the weather , the pool and anything you want to do. Mark and Lorraine, lovely people who look after you all the time you are there. Nothing was too much trouble. If you want to get away from it all, and relax, definitely recommend . Accommodation was lovely, clean and comfortable . Would recommend hiring a car . Nothing not to like .

The road to the retreat was not that good (a real adventure) and the airconditioning was not compatible with the room it fitted in (small.. and by 42 degrees airconditioning in the bedrooms would have been nice).

• Jiří (9/5): Beautiful relaxation by the pool. - Dragonfly is a quiet and nice place not far from the city of Coín - about 10 minutes by car. In Coín you can find various restaurants and cafes, very pleasant. The swimming pool with the bar and colourful bougainvilleas in Dragonfly is fantastic, it makes you think that you actually are in Bahamas. The hosts - Mark with his wife - are very nice, friendly and helpful people. They even offered us to join their BBQ. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and did thoroughly enjoy it. The bedroom was rather basic and so was the craftsmanship of the renovation. However you can feel that it was done with a lot of affection and works well.
