• Glenys (10/5): Excellent Accommodation highly recommend - Lovely new property with attention to detail. Looks just as the photos show. Lovely having breakfast on the rooftop with great options. We enjoyed the top floor facing the water. Located between the bays easy walk to either beach and lots of restaurants/cafe. It is on the hill which then gives the view and breeze. Also love that they have a water fountain to refill your water bottle. Staff are all very friendly and helpful with anything you need. 👏🏻 May a couple more sun umbrellas and fans on the rooftop.

• Susil (7/5): Decent stay with good location and views, but fell short of expectations due to room and parking iss - Good location and nice breakfast. The restaurant on the 3rd floor overlooking the Indian Ocean was a highlight. Parking was eventually arranged from the 3rd day. Was promised a larger room for a 4-night stay but received a smaller one. The room had no table or stand for luggage. Parking was not available initially and I had to park on the road for the first two days.

Bed was comfortable and the room looked like the photos. Be mindful that they add on the taxes. The bed sheets, while clean, had holes in them and the breakfast which was included was sub par. We opted to eat elsewhere.

• Johanna (9/5): Top - Die Unterkunft liegt schön, beide Strände sind fußläufig erreichbar. Allerdings muss ist der Hügel recht steil. Die Zimmer sind groß und wirklich sehr schön. Alle Lokalitäten sind auch gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Würde es auf jeden Fall Weiterempfehlen.
• Clare (10/5): Great little hotel. - Great little hotel set in between Hiriketiya beach & Dickwella Beach both walkable within 10 minutes. Plenty of great restaurants, coffee shops (Crust & Crumble a must) and lovely small boutiques. Farooq and his team are friendly & welcoming. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Filtered water was available all day in the reception area which was a big bonus and a good fridge & tea/coffee/kettle in the room. Breakfast was taken on the roof top terrace over looking the sea. The breakfast bowl was my favourite but there is a good choice on the menu. Only a suggestion, but I think the roof top terrace could be utilised more with some comfortable seating to enjoy during the day or evening. There is nothing not to like about this hotel. I Would definitely book again without hesitation. Nothing
• michael (10/5): Perfectly situated between Hiriketiya and Dickwella Beaches. Beautiful modern hotel. - Beautiful modern air conditioned room with good facilities and balcony. Bed was super comfortable and large. Shower was hot with good pressure. We really enjoyed our stay here. We had rooms with sea view which was stunning. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, situated on the hill between Hiriketiya and Dickwella Beaches. A very short walk to either. We preferred Dickwella especially for the sun loungers, drinks and sunset. Breakfast was good. Freshly made and served on the roof top with ocean views. We would have preferred some Sri Lankan options but what was offered was substantial. We would highly recommend this hotel and will stay again. We liked everything.

• Gauri (9/5): - Lovely room, had everything you needed, and also in a perfect location between the two main beaches. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Seeing the monkeys playing around outside the window in the morning was also a highlight! Lots of ants! Not even sure how they got inside one of our bags since we didn’t have any food open, but one bag was infested with them! Just make sure you put any food items (even packaged!) straight in the fridge and keep bags off the floor. Other than that, it was a beautiful place to stay!

• Pam (7/5): Perfecte ligging, mooi hotel, matige service - De ligging van het hotel is echt perfect. Het hotel is vrij nieuw dus de kamer was schoon en modern ingericht. Erg fijn! De host/manager kwam ongeïnteresseerd over; hij keek nauwelijks op of om en was vooral bezig met z’n telefoon. We huurden een scooter van het hotel en hij stuurde ons op pad met een lege tank en weigerde de tankkosten van het huurbedrag af te trekken. Jammer en onnodig!

• Lone Oeye (9/5): - Hotellet og rommet var veldig fint og rent. Vi opplevde det faktisk som litt større og finere enn på bildene. Frokosten var veldig god, og vi anbefaler å spise tidlig på morgenen, da du kan sitte og se på de søte apene i trærne mens du nyter maten. Plasseringen er perfekt, i gåavstand til både Hiriketiya- og Dickwella beach, og mange cafeer og restauranter. Vi ble godt ivaretatt av de ansatte. Vi fikk blant annet en forfriskende vannmelon-juice ved ankomst og fikk hjelp til å booke taxi til Ahangama. Alt var bra!

• Valentina (7/5): Good location and modern design, with room for improvement - El Destino has a very central location, making it easy to explore Hiriketiya and the surrounding area. The design of the rooms is modern and stylish, which gives the hotel a fresh and trendy feel. Overall, it offers good value for money and is fairly priced for what you get. The white curtains let in a lot of light, and from around 5:30 AM the room becomes very bright, making it difficult to sleep longer. Blackout curtains would really improve the comfort. The breakfast was unfortunately disappointing. We tried it on the first morning, but decided to have breakfast elsewhere on the following days.

• Fabian (10/5): Very clean and nice Hotel with great location - Super clean and nice room - one if the nicest we had during our trip through Sri Lanka. The Hotel in general is very nice with a great location making it easy to reach Hiriketiya Beach and Dickwella Beach with a short walk and also very friendly staff! Breakfast from the Menu was delicious!! One morning they had a buffet breakfast with local breakfast instead of the menu. While we love Sri Lankan breakfast and had it many times, the buffet just wasn‘t super fresh and some things were a bit cold. And even though we like spicy, for breakfast it was a little to spicy. So the idea of trying something local is great, but would be great if it would be just as fresh as the food from the menu. :)
• Annaritb95 (7/5): Da rivedere - Posizione comoda, tutto è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi. Proprietario molto gentile e disponibile. Terrazza delle colazioni vista mare molto suggestiva. Le camere sono trascurate, abbiamo trovato diverse macchie su tende, tappeti e asciugamani e tante macchie di umido. Servizio lavanderia non adeguato, dei capi sono stati rovinati e altri persi (errore nostro che alla partenza dalla fretta non abbiamo ricontrollato tutto)

• Samuel (9/5): Sehr zentrale Unterkunft - Die Unterkunft liegt 5min zu Fuss vom Strand entfernt. Dort gibt es sehr viele Restaurants und Bars wo man sich durch den Tag und auch am Abend verweilen kann. Das Zimmer war für 2 Personen und eine Nacht perfekt. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht ausprobiert. Die Unterkunft ist recht ringhörig. Das war der einzige negative Punkt.

• Lennart (10/5): Net hotel op toplocatie in Hireketiya - Heel net, nieuw hotel op een perfecte locatie in Hiriketiya. Precies tussen de twee baaien in. Nette kamers, prima ontbijt.
• Eva (3/5): Wouldn't stay here again - Our stay at El Destino was good but ended badly (see below). The hotel is placed on top of a hill between Hiriketiya Beach and Dickwella Beach, and everything is walking distance. The room was comfortable overall. Unfortunately, our stay in Hiriketiya ended on quite a low note as we noticed on check-out day that 30.000 rupees in cash were missing from our room. As there was no safe provided, we did not have the opportunity to lock away the cash we left in the room. We do not feel the receptionist took this seriously at all. It felt very uncomfortable to know that someone had been in our room without our knowledge or permission. If you stay here, keep your cash on you at all times.
• Shayma (8/5): A lovely stay overall - Lovely spacious and very clean rooms. Locations is between both Hiriketiya and Dickwella which are both walking distance. The breakfast was the best, you choose from a menu and it’s freshly made for you. Water in rooms and cleaned daily. The doors are paper thin, you can hear everything that is happening in the hotel. From Hiriketiya beach it is up a fairly steep hills so even though it’s a 5 min walk it’s up and down a steep hill. Also rooms are only accessible by stairs.

• Nina (10/5): - I have never in my life had such an amazing experience with accommodation and staff. I booked the entire hotel for a group of 12 girls. The staff consisted only of men, which I was a little nervous about at first, but it turned out they were the most wonderful people who could have taken care of us. Incredible professionalism, respect, helpfulness, and friendliness. We felt even better here than at home. Everything was constantly spotless and smelled beautifully. We even asked for their incense sticks and packed some to take home with us. The breakfasts were excellent. We grew very fond of the staff and became friends. Words cannot describe how incredibly good each and every one of us felt here. Thank you Farook, Peheth, Chamika, Tharu, Nalaka! We miss this place so much, and if we ever return to Hiriketiya, this will be the only place for us.

• Karen (10/5): Nice stay in a comfy hotel - Very nice hotel, less than 5 minutes walk from the beach. Calm, Spacious room with a real bathroom, and a useful terrasse to dry your surf stuff ! Staff was super friendly and helpful, and breakfast really good and served super fast . We definitely recommend !

Het ontbijt was, in vergelijking met andere hotels in Sri Lanka, vrij eenvoudig.

C’est très cher ! Le personnel est gentil mais pas professionnel. Le petit déjeuner est minimaliste. On pourrait s’attendre à avoir des chaises au lieu de tabourets vu le prix. La wifi est instable ! C’est très bruyant, et en dehors des chambres, il n’y a aucun espace convivial.

• Caterina (9/5): - We wanted to end our trip with a relaxing time at the beach, so we selected Hiriketiya, and El Destino proved to be a fantastic choice, ideally located between Hiriketiya Beach and Dickwella Beach. Our room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. What made our stay even more enjoyable, however, was the staff—Farook and his team were genuinely lovely, always there to help and make us feel welcome. On the last day, they prepared a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast for us, and the chef was very good! 👌💚🇱🇰

• Marina (8/5): Gut für einen kurzen Aufenthalt - Sehr gute Lage zwischen Dickwella und Hiriketiya Beach. Alles war fussläufig erreichbar. Sauber Genügend Platz in den Zimmern. Freundliches Personal Das größte Problem für uns war der Lärm auf dem Zimmer. Man hat sowohl von innen als auch von außen ALLES gehört. In einer Nacht wurde draußen um halb 4 Uhr nachts geböllert und alle Straßenhunde haben 30 Minuten lang gebellt und gejault. Die anderen Nächte war es leider nicht viel besser. Das hat dazu geführt dass wir uns trotz Ohrstöpsel morgens nicht erholt gefühlt haben. Außerdem ist die Klimaanlage direkt auf das Bett gerichtet, sodass die Klimaanlage nachts leider immer direkt auf den Kopf und Oberkörper bläst.

• Lukas (9/5): Gutes Hotel, ein bisschen Liebe fehlt - Alles sehr neu, die Lage ist super gelegen zwischen Hiriketiya Beach und Dickwella Beach; und in der direkten Umgebung gibt es einige Cafés mit leckerem Essen und Trinken. Frühstück gibt's auf der Dachterrasse für alle mit Meerblick. Das Haus ist sehr Hellhörig und die Türen sind nur dünn. Deswegen könnte man den ganzen Tag über das Personal am Telefon auf Lautsprecher hören, oder hören wie irgendwelche Arbeiten verrichten werden.

The cleanliness was excellent throughout the property, and the location couldn’t be better, just a 10-minute walk to anywhere you’d want to go.
