- Foord (4/5): Luxury it isnt - The actual apartment itself was very nice and brand new. The apartment block is on a building site. The block is flanked on 3 sides by construction which starts at 7am in the morning and finishes at 530pm in the evening. We were unable to use the outside facilities or apartment balcony during the day. The noise was loud, drills, diggers and of course the workmen. We were woken up at 7am on what was supposed to be our holiday. The owners say that they cannot control the environment but surely they should inform potential clients that there is ongoing construction works being carried out in order to make an informed decision. It rained on one day which lead to an awful drainage smells in the apartment. We were advised by the owners to flush the toilet and run the taps to clear the smell. This did not work which also meant we then had to smell bad odours. Outside of the block there was also scaffolding in place and new windows and doors were being fitted to communal areas when we were there. This property should not be let out in this area until building is completely finished and proper infrastructure in place.
