- Tamara (10/5): Itβs was beautiful. We would definitely stay there again :) - The size of the property and the location was fantastic! Nothing :) it was fantastic!
- Peter (8/5): Cosy and comfortable for large families. - Very comfortable for large group of friends and kitchen well stocked. The fireplace in the living room had a lingering ash smell

- Helen (10/5): Perfect for what we needed. Came to Bowral for a wedding and our family could all stay together - Great location , very private. Beautiful views and very picturesque. Huge home to sleep many.
- Jeanette (8/5): would rent again - Access code given to property was incorrect. Was able to make contact to get that sorted. There were very few tea fa options available except for herbal teas. Also the beautiful horse gave us some concern when trying to exit the property. The horse followed the cars through the first gate and it was difficult to get it to return back through the gate--but a few of us managed to persuade it! Couldn't have done that without some help! Otherwise a very pleasant stay
- Kierans (10/5): Exceptional - Fantsstic stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Will be back.
The horses and wildlife was stunning.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - 10/10 accommodation. Wonderful cute house and special farm guests.
- Laura (10/5): Was a beautiful weekend away - It was so pretty, lots of space! Great location! Everything was really clean and was just beautiful! That in the main bedrooms ensuite there was no door to seperate the toilet and bedroom
- Julie (10/5): Perfect for a group of friends - What a fabulous property! A beautiful setting with friendly horses and the chattiest cat to welcome you. I stayed with 5 friends and we had a blast. The AC and fire kept the house warm, and the beds were comfy. I really appreciated the welcoming message, so helpful. The other ladies in our social group are very envious of the fun we had during our wonderful Bowral weekend π It was too cold to sit outside around the fire pit. Next time π
- Melanie (10/5): The perfect place for hosting a group that are not all couples and want to share food at one table - This place turned out to be perfect for our needs. It is not a 5 star hotel, but has not been rated at that. It was rated 10/10 because that is what it was according to the description and our expectations. We were planning to attend a school reunion nearby, 50 years since we had been at school together, so it was important for us to have enough rooms, and especially some rooms with single beds. This made it so much easier to share as not everyone came as a couple. The house was big enough to feel that we weren't tripping over each other.
Having 3 bathrooms was also fantastic, though we couldn't all have showers at the same time because of the hot water pressure, but that was easy to work around. But it meant no-one was stuck needing the toilet while others were showering and enough privacy for people who had not seen each other for many years. But also cheaper than a house with only double/queen beds and all ensuites. So it suited our needs very well.
The kitchen was set up well, and worked well. And this turned out to be a godsend because the husband of the reunion host got Covid at the last minute. Our rental host was very accommodating and allowed us to host the dinner at the rental house. We really appreciated that because some people had travelled from Qld and South Australia to attend and were already on their way. The kitchen had enough crockery, cutlery and glassware (and the all important dishwasher) so it worked out very well. We were able to fit 14 adults around the dining room table without feeling squished, so it really did save our weekend celebration.
The outlook was very pretty and relaxing and yet only a few minutes from town.
The heating was very much appreciated, and we brought firewood with us so made good use of the firepit and the indoor fireplace. We had a bit of difficulty with the BBQ - it worked well on Saturday night but we couldn't get it to light on Sunday morning - there was plenty of gas, maybe it was too cold? However it was easy enough to just change and have breakfast inside. As it was the last morning we didn't really have time to contact the host about it. But I am sure they would have fixed it if we had asked.
We also would have liked to be able to open the front porch door to the study/bedroom downstairs as one couple was staying in here with their dogs. But not a deal breaker, we made it work. And we really liked that the place was pet-friendly.
The aircon/heating was a bit variable between 2 of the bedrooms so some people were too hot at night with the heating on, but others were too cold with the heating off. We got around it by having the heating on, and opening the window in the room that was too hot. So again, a bit of flexibility was all that was required to resolve it. But good to know in advance because someone else might prefer to have the heating off and bring more doonas.
A couple of people didn't really like having to open and close two sets of gates coming up the driveway, but seriously, this is the country! So all in all, we thought it was great.
- Karen (5/5): Beautiful location but property not value for money - Location and views It was not clean, frypan rusty, ducted air con was extremely filthy to point that it could not suck air up without making an extremely loud screeching noise, Fireplace didn't not produce enough heat. With the aircon being so dirty it couldn't produce heat and the fire place being so ineffective, it was really disappointing that a house in the southern highlands did not provide enough heat. I would not recommend this property as i was not value for money.
- Louis (9/5): Superb - Great location just outside Bowral village and minutes from the superb Retford Park
- Robyn (9/5): Great relaxed convenient location. - Location was so peaceful and convenient. Not Sure
- Morgan (10/5): Was the perfect stay for a big group of us attending a wedding in town! -
- Nina (8/5): Very good -
