Guest Reviews
- R&jspencer (1/5): Extremely disappointed - The location was in a perfect area for our trip. Beds are very comfortable. Although the heating was on all the radiators needed bleeding (the pipes at the bottom were hot but not the radiators.) We had been given a welcome text to advise how to override but because of the above this didn't work. We bought 2 new blankets to keep ourselves warm at night.
*Leak on the kitchen floor (problems with drains after using the sink. We dare not use the dishwasher.) Inside the cupboard it was wet through.
*Metal strip on the floor near the fridge door was not secured to the floor. This could have easily caught toes.
*Slug in the cutlery drawer.
*Filthy slow cooker and pan lids.
*3 used kitchen sponges not thrown away.
*Potato peeler with no blade.
*Sharp knife with a broken point.
*Lamp in the living room had to be switched on/off with switch on the wall (barnet loose.)
*Smoke detector removed from the ceiling in the living room.
"Finger prints on glasses in the cabinet.
*Only a quarter of a roll of toilet roll left - not a fresh one. We bought a large pack and stocked up the cupboard in the bathroom.
*Both large bath towels were old and grubby with stains.
*The electric box had a red warning light on and another flashing light.
*No welcome pack explaining local chemist, docs, shops or instructions to use the cooker, days the bins needed to be put out. Or way to recycle bottles.
*Gate stuck closed to empty the kitchen bin. I had to stride over the gate.
*Via messages to booking.com and Hello Guest (agents the property owners use )during our stay and after that are agents for the owners we feel the above were not taken seriously. £88 is charged for the cleaning but other than the change of bedding - totally unfair.
*We've asked for a refund but we've only been given half the cleaning fee!
*The owners are "Super Hosts'" on another letting app!
*9.7 was the review when we booked this accommodation - difficult to understand
