Guest Reviews
- Desley (9/5): - So cosy, loved the welcome pack (home made bread, jam, milk and butter). So quiet and tranquil. A little small.
- Marie Claude (10/5): - Les lieux pres des chutes d eau
La ferme
Le lait et le pain frais!!!
- Mathilde (10/5): -
- Guest (8/5): Excellent location. Small property but good for a couple of days. - Excellent location Only a wooden door between us and the neighbouring let. Could easily hear voices and they could probably hear us. Especially as our bathroom light switch and door were noisy. We could even smell their breakfast cooking!
- Hanne (9/5): Peaceful stay - This lovely, peaceful cottage/apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I disagree with other reviewers saying it was too small: it really had a comfortable size for the two of us. The location truly is the biggest selling point, as it allows you to get to the walks/viewpoints before the crowds arrive. We hiked the Quiraing circuit and Brother's point in relative peace. So if that is something you would want, we can advise booking here. The neighbours can be heard. Did not bother us at all though.
- Linda (10/5): Great place to unwind after a day touring the island. - Great location, private and quiet, everything we needed. Nothing
- André (9/5): - Everything was great: the location within the island, the place was very cozy, clean and had everything and more. Our hosts were very helpful and kind, and the welcome kit was very good and thoughtful. The bed is a little uncomfortable. But nothing that would stop me to stay there again.
- Shelby (10/5): -
- Adrian Guido (10/5): Adoravel apartamento na Ilha de Sky - Comodidades do apartamento. Tudo limpo e cuidadoso! Gostamos de tudo!
- Kate (10/5): - Lovely little apartment. Warm and cosy. Delicious bread in welcome pack.
- Sheena (8/5): Small but beautiful - The views were amazing and it was fairly close by to stuff that my husband and I wanted to go to. The welcome pack the owners provide was great! The apartment was a tad small even though it was just my husband and me.
- Dima (10/5): -
- Faiz (9/5): Lovely - Cleanliness and quiet atmosphere Distance from any shop
- arnaud (10/5): - La nature et le confort

- Tania Savi (9/5): Fuori dal tempo immersi nella natura - Bellissimo piccolo appartamento lontano dalla civiltà Solo un po ridotto lo spazio per chi ha valigia grande

- Daniel (1/5): Not worth the money. Very disappointing. - Just the views and the bread, the rest was terrible! Privacy doesn’t exist in this tiny apartment. Guests from the house next door were constantly passing in front of our doors and windows, and at one point, someone even walked in on us. To make matters worse, there is a connecting door between the house and the apartment, with no insulation at all. You can smell everything they cook and hear every single sound. Every morning, alarms rang from 7 a.m. onwards for half an hour without stopping.
Cleanliness was also disappointing. We found hairs from previous guests throughout the apartment, and some cutlery still had food stuck to it. The listing promised a dining table, but in reality there was only a broken foldable table that collapsed when used, leaving our food on the floor.
The bedroom window does not fully seal, resulting in cold air coming in every night, and the central heating does not compensate for this.
Overall, this stay was certainly not worth the money. We complained to the hosts via Booking.com and WhatsApp, but five days later, we still haven’t received a reply.
- Phil (8/5): Really enjoyed the stay and the views - Loved the rural outlook of the property. It is a few miles out of Portree but that is part of the appeal for us. Well kitted out and the starter pack of goodies was most appreciated Kitchen is fairly cosy but has everything you need
- HM (10/5): Lealt falls apartment 🩷 - Charmant petit appartement avec une magnifique vue, au calme.
Panier d'accueil en arrivant top.
Recommande sans hésitation.
👍👍👍 Rien !!
- Wan Sze Doris (10/5): - Good location and friendly host. Apartment with all the things we needed
- Paul (9/5): -
- jose luis (8/5): Winds!!!!
- Mauron (10/5): - The apartment was very cute and we love the brrakfast food that was provided.
- Debbie (10/5): This cosy wee home felt like a warm hug on a blustery Skye day. - From the very beginning, our hosts were genuinely interested in making sure we had a lovely stay. The loaf of freshly baked bread and local information was appreciated. A wonderfully relaxing stay. It was a wonderful stay.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional - Awesome place to hide away with great views, as well as being close to the Old Man of Storr and Quiraing.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent property in a great location away from the crowds in Portree, but still fairly close to town. The property has everything a couple or individual will need for a great stay. Highly recommended!
- Elinor (8/5): Great apartment. Perfect for a couple or solo traveller. - We were staying on Skye for the night, en route to Harris. We found the apartment easily with the directions provided. We arrived in dire weather with heavy rain and mist. This brought out the dreaded midges! I think they were even more ferocious after so much good weather. The welcome pack was really lovely. Fresh bread, milk, orange juice and other goodies, all beautifully presented. I slept in the bed, which was extremely firm! My sister slept on the sofa. The TV was great.
I hope to come back to Lealt Falls apartment, probably on my own - it would be absolutely perfect for a solo traveller or a couple. Everything was great. No complaints.
- Jacquierose (10/5): Lealt Falls - It was very cozy, had a great location, homemade bread was awesome! Would definitely recommend. We only were there for one night but would have stayed longer!
- Juspassinthro (10/5): Exceptional - Compact and clean with stunning views Sticky bathroom door.
- Natalie (10/5): Great host and beautiful location. - The location is wonderful if you are looking to be away from the city and would like to hike. Nothing.
- Colin (8/5): Very good -
- Sharyn (8/5): Very good -
- Casey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathleen (10/5): A Gem of a Place ! - Our very considerate and accommodating hostess Janice thoughtfully prepared for us a lovely welcome pack. The freshly baked home bread was a nice touch. Attention to details make this property stand out among the rest. The fridge was well stocked with a full bottle of milk, two full bottles of orange juice. a tray full of coffee/tea/billie…and the jam!! We got the chance to chat with Janice and she is genuinely considerate of her guests. When we are back in the area we will surely book for more nights. Thanks again Janice! Nothing really. Everything in this property suits us very well.
- Amrita (10/5): Exceptional - Great view from the apartment. Had all the amenities for a short or long stay. loved the homemade bread shared as part of the welcome pack.
- Robert (3/5): Not worth the extraordinary price. - There wasn't much to like about this place. Everybody praises the 'free' bread and it was nice but, that's about it. We were greeted by a man who should never be a B&B host. He unnecessarily showed us how to get the key out of the box. When we turned around he was gone and was never seen again. The B&B is small and it was difficult dealing with two suitcases. The rooms have been renovated by someone who should appear on a DIY disaster show. The TV didn't go, when investigated, the only thing plugged into it was the power cord! The correspondence from the hosts promised a bottle of champagne wine on arrival, when we asked where it was we were told they don't do it anymore. A short while later a nice lady appeared and gave us a bottle of Modovian Rose which was as terrible as it sounds - we tipped it out. At night the rooms were flooded with green light from two emergency exit lights - no doubt a council requirement but a bit over the top. When we were settled in we could hear noise from people and a TV coming through a connecting door with a 'do not use' notice on it. We blamed other inconsiderate guests for the noise but we discovered it was the hosts themselves. We were promised garden views but this seems to consist of a couple of pots with flowers in them on a patio. There was a notice to say the water could not be used because it was being tested by the council, a container of water was left to be used instead. The notice seems to have been there for some time which is unusual as testing has to be done immediately. This is a scuffy property inside and out. But the real shocker is the price, our previous B&B was excellent, provided a cooked breakfast, and was exactly half the price. We travelled all around Scotland and found Skye to be pretty disappointing.
- Yohan (10/5): The house and facilities is all you need to have a great getaway: parking, homy flat and great view. - The location, the flat is great and clean. Everything you need for either summer time or wintertime. Nothing.
- Angelika (8/5): Very good - Lovely appartment, perfect location for all sorts of outings on Skye. Lovely hosts. The self-baked bread was lovely and still warm when we arrived. :-)
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the apartment was absolutely phenomenal! The apartment was a great home base for hiking and all our Isle of Skye adventures letting us stay closer to hikes and nature without being too far away from restaurants and a grocery store. The apartment was beautifully stocked for our arrival and we definitely made use of the warm loaf of bread, cereal, milk, and OJ left for us. Having a small stovetop and oven made it easy to be self sufficient making hot breakfasts and enabling us to easily pack lunches.
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Jenna (10/5): The most charming stay! - It was so comfortable and clean. Janice did such a nice job at updating the apartment to make it very warm and welcoming. Of our 2 week trip, this was our favorite spot. We loved how the living room / kitchen was separate than the bedroom. The views were incredible. It’s not in a main city but it’s centrally located to Old Man of Storr, Fairy Glen and Kilt falls. It’s a 20 min drive to Portree which is where we had dinner and walked around. It was very lovely. We wish we had stayed longer. We definitely will come back! Nothing! It was perfect for us!
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - The home made bread was a lovely added touch, very much appreciated and the views from the cottage were stunning.
- Todd (9/5): We loved it! Would definitely book again if the opportunity arises! - Very clean, quaint, and warm! Couldn't hear any wind or rain outside! Hot water takes some time in the shower, but a very minor problem.
- Evelyn (4/5): Disappointing -
- Rodrigo (9/5): Pleasant stay - It is a great location to visit the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing. It is a quiet and clean place—several lovely small details inside the apartment. It is not easy to find the entrance to the property.
- Alicja (10/5): Exceptional - We really enjoyed our stay at Lealt Falls. The apartment was bigger than we expected, it had a separate bedroom and living room/kitchen area. The property is beautifully located right at the edge of a cliff giving you amazing views of the sea. It is quite secluded so you can enjoy peace and quiet. Having said that, the nearest grocery store is about 20 min drive so make sure you buy everything you need before arriving there. Nothing
- Graham (10/5): Excellent stay - Lovely apartment, very roomy, clean & tidy. Good kitchen facilities and the hosts had left a welcome pack.
Good sized kitchen/lounge and large separate bedroom.
Lovely location with views of the coast. Only booked 1 night.
- Geoffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Delthia (8/5): Very good - The location and view were lovely, and the host was kind. The apartment had everything you'd need for a short stay. An added bonus was the delicious homemade bread - yummy. The only thing that could be improved is the mattress. I addressed it by putting the extra blanket they provided under the sheet for some extra cushioning, and that helped.
- Megan (10/5): Beautiful, comfortable apartment near Lealt Falls, Brothers Point - This apartment was the perfect home base for our overnight on the Isle of Skye. We could see the water from the beautiful outdoor seating area. The hosts left us a generous breakfast of fresh-baked bread, jam and juice. We found everything we needed easily and our stay was very comfortable.
- Alan (8/5): Very good - Loved the location, would like to have stayed for longer Heaters did not work all the time.
- Gwyneth (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay, the visit from the cat was especially nice! - Cosy and private. Excellent location close to Old Man of Storr and Falls
- Rob (10/5): This was a great place to stay. - Everything was so clean. Nice people. Great location. Homemade bread was great. Na
- Simitz (7/5): Cute bnb in a great location! - It was in a great location, very cozy and the bread and jam was a huge plus! The shower would end up trickling out water and turn ice cold several times throughout. Lots of bugs in the morning flying outside.
- Dennis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hanneke (7/5): Small appartment on a perfect location - The location and the view were perfect! The welcome packaging was really kind; the bread was very tasty! The apartment was very small, it was difficult to place our suitcases there. The shower was close to impossible to use, because it was a "pisstraaltje" and the water was already cold after a few minutes.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (10/5): Fabulous quiet little apartment - Fabulous little compact apartment, clean and comfortable. Homemade bread and jam there with tea, coffee, fresh milk and cereals. The views ( including the Northern Lights) were fantastic, easy access to the waterfalls and fabulous walks. We were travelling via the ferry the following morning so easy access to Uig. Wish we could have stayed longer Nothing, was impressed and better than I had expected
- Sarae (10/5): Highly recommend this property if you are traveling to Isle of Skye. - The location could not have been more perfect. And the welcome package we received was so thoughtful! Everything was great!
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing view
- Nathalie (10/5): Exceptional - The location is perfect! As for the apartment, it was more than I expected! There was a rack to dry our clothes (we had to do a bit of hand laundry at that point). Also, they welcomed us with a home made loaf of bread and jam.
The apartment was sparkling clean and the bed very comfy! All the reservation, instructions to get in the apartment, etc were easy and detailed. Nothing really!!!
- Keith (4/5): Couldn’t wait to leave. - The bed was large and comfortable. The bedroom was not king size, only the bed. The living area was cramped, squeezing in a small kitchen, a sofa and something I believe was supposed to be a dining table but was a small half- round lift up flap and two folding chairs. We either had to eat sitting on the sofa or standing up next to a kitchen work top. I would describe the accommodation as a bed sit more than an apartment. We didn’t like the attitude of the hosts over emphasising having to vacate at 10 am by the latest, also notices to leave as tidy as we found it, but no brooms or brushes and just a tiny little sponge to wash up with. My wife said good morning to one of the hosts (whose house adjoined, and no sound proofing) but he barely responded and went back inside his house. Also dogs barking early in the morning.
Hugely overpriced at £180 for what it was. Would never want to return.
- Mcgrath (9/5): Superb -
- Ricarte (10/5): Exceptional - great location+ nice view of the sea
provided bread/ jam/ snacks/ coffee etc
very clean
- Jared (8/5): Really nice and would stay there again. - The bread and homemade jelly was a great touch. We really enjoyed the place so much that we didn't even go out to get dinner after a long day of exploring. It was a really nice place to relax. The only complaint we had is the noise throughout the night by the bedroom window kept us awake. The winds were very high but if the host can determine what was causing the rattling, it would be helpful to others in the future for their sleeping.
- Karunanayke (9/5): Superb -
- Jordan (9/5): Superb - The fresh homemade bread and jam were such a treat! The adjoining apartment is attached by a door and that caused a bit of noise for us, but apart from that it was great!
- Viktoria (10/5): Amazing stay,lovely property. - Everything
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Love it up on the Isle of Skye - Very clean, neat and tidy. The view from the lounge is lovely. Janice is very friendly and I will defo be staying there again
- Jaime (6/5): Right on Lealt Falls, but cramped and without charm - The location is truly remarkable, it's even closer than you think to Lealt Falls. We did underestimate how rural this area is though, and were unable to find literally ANY place to obtain food at 6:30 pm on a Sunday. Miraculously, there was a fresh baked loaf of bread awaiting us, a few pats of butter, delicious homemade jam, and a few bottles of orange juice. That was our dinner, so I'm incredibly grateful for it. I personally thank the chef, from the bottom of my heart, for feeding us that night. Part of my complaints are really not the fault of the property; it poured the whole day we were on Skye and we were also unprepared for just how rural it is, so I was salty. When we arrived, we stood outside in 50 mph wind gusts and driving rain, getting soaked as we tried to get the key out of the lockbox for at least 5 minutes. When we finally got the key out, we couldn't get the door open. When we finally got inside, I was disappointed. It breaks my heart to say so, because I'm sure the owner is lovely, but I found the property to be totally devoid of charm. For the amount we paid, it wasn't a good value at all, it was very cramped with uninspired decor. The bedroom, for example, was all bed, practically wall to wall (edit: I see now in the pictures that was not the case, but it really felt that way). There was also radiator heating, but no instruction on how to use it (it's not common where I'm from and had never had to use it). As I said, I hate giving a bad review. Maybe the other side of the house is better, but the apartment was too small for two people, even for just one night, and it would be far too expensive for one. We stayed at several places much more charming for much lower cost, I honestly can't fathom where their price point came from, except perhaps from the scarcity of accommodations nearby.
- Ng (10/5): Amazing stay at Lealt Falls Apartment - Lealt Falls Apartment overall was amazing! A little tricky with the lock because we weren't familiar with the mechanism, but owner advised right away and we got into the apartment. It's facing stunning views and abt 10 mins drive to town. We like that it's secluded and serene. Very close to old man of storr and the lealt falls. The apartment is spacious enough with great amenities. Very clean as well. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. We will def be back!
- Thongchai (10/5): Great to stay here !!! - Very impressive, clean, and very good.
There is a warm and wonderful place to stay.
Have a kitchen, living room, and a good location. None
- Val (9/5): Superb - Beautiful location. Wish we could have stayed longer.
- Marlene (9/5): Superb -
- Roderick (10/5): We would highly recommend staying here. - We didn't realize how convenient the location was until we arrived. The apartment had everything we needed including a much-needed drying rack, since we were soaked after visiting The Man of Storr. The homemade bread and jam were an extra treat, and the views were stunning to say the least.
- Rogers (9/5): Superb - homemade bread was very good
- Christopher (9/5): convenient, comfortable, cute place to base your Skye adventures from - we could make our own meals. Tired of eating out. Very close to Quiraing, Lealt Falls, & Old Man of Stor. could use a couple of coat hooks.
- Angela (10/5): Outstanding location and a comfortable stay. - The location is brilliant. A stones throw from the falls with amazing views from the gardens over the area. The bed was comfortable. Ideally suited for a single person or couple travelling. The welcome pack was full of useful local information.
- Ellice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mio (7/5): Comfortable and will come back again. - Clean , tidy and quiet.
Strong Wi-Fi.
- Tamara (9/5): Delightful - Very cozy especially in Skye weather, it was more like a small cottage than an apartment as it has its own door and is a single ground floor of 3 rooms
- Syu (10/5): A perfect holiday - The location is absolutely wonderful, very near the stunningly beautiful Lealt falls, old man of Storr and many sightseeing places. The stay was lovely, we’ve got everything we need, even a little bottle of homemade jam! Very quiet and peaceful during night time. Thanks so much for the stay!
- Fabian (10/5): Exceptional - Lealt falls apartment is just amazing, great location and extremely clean. I relly enjoyed staying there and the host is extremely nice.
- Paffard (9/5): A great option, comfortable and well placed for a short stay on Skye - The property is really well located off the north road and very close to Lealt falls. Its a small but really well organised apartment with lots of thought given to a travellers needs. We really appreciated the welcome pack of fresh bread, milk, juices and breakfast goodies - everything we needed for a comfortable night. The view of the coast was lovely. The guidebook was great in giving really detailed information on local attractions. Really nothing - we found the overall prices on Skye high compared to other parts of Scotland and our apartment was higher than other places we've stayed but very reasonable compared to other options on Skye.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location NA
- Lilla (10/5): Exceptional - It was very cute,nice,tidy.
Stocked up kitchen with drinks and bread and cereals, etc. It was very loud,we could hear everything when the neighbours were talking, laughing, etc.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - Great location with amazing views
- Nelli (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (10/5): Amazing, beautiful location with amazing views. - The location was ideal as it was in-between places we wanted to visit. Excellent stay and lovely little touches like the homemade warm bread and jam, wine and coffee and tea. Would definitely recommend staying here as we intend to do again. Woke up and watched the sunrise which was amazing and had a visitor wander into the garden area in the shape of a buck deer. Nothing.
- Stuart (9/5): Beautiful location and lovely little property - Beautiful location with a fab view from the property and also very close to visit Lealt Falls and Kilt Rock. Compact property but fully equipped with everything you could need. A lovely welcome gift of bread, butter and milk and other bits Nothing I can think of at all.
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional -
