Guest Reviews
- James (8/5): - Not much drinking water provided
- Ami (1/5): Bad - I booked the yurt, the guy called me and told me it's not available and wanted me to stay in his house. I wanted to cancel and despite telling me that I will not be charged he charged the whole amount. Creepy scammer. Avoid!
- Min (1/5): I want refund!!!!! - Everything terrible
Dirty conditions of inside and outside We couldn't stay
We came back home right away after we checked the conditions of facilities
- Yuet (3/5): go for the view, but beware the rest - the view, pretty area, wood-burning fireplace, interesting to use a composting toilet, directions were clear enough to enable me to find the property but could be improved, no odors i did not stay at the yurt but the blue cabin next to it. the owner contacted me a few days prior to tell me the yurt had a 3-night minimum because it was a holiday weekend. this was not mentioned when i booked the yurt weeks prior. the owner asked if i was amenable to staying an extra night. i couldn’t because of my schedule, so the owner moved me to the cabin next door instead. that said…
the owner was rude and curmudgeonly (1/10). composting toilet was halfway full of poop and toilet paper but didn’t smell (4/10–added points for not smelling but gross to see). i get that it’s a composting toilet, but surely it can be emptied or an empty bucket can be added before each new visitor, no? also interested to know how it stayed scent free. would be nice to have reading material at the cabin to explain how that is accomplished. the property needs a fresh coat of paint everywhere, looks ragged as a result, and needs better overall maintenance (5/10). had two small containers of dried up rotten food scraps above the microwave and toaster oven (1/10). hot tub is listed as an amenity but because the lid looked so worn and the state of the rest of the cabin, i had no interest in using it (2/10).
will not be returning.
- Ivane (1/5): Bad -
- Michael (8/5): Excellent we will definitely stay there again - Private , quiet
- Jallah (10/5): Fantastic weekend we will return! - Beautiful secluded location with a fantastic view and comfortable deck. Marty was a gracious host.
- Maddy (10/5): Exceptional - I was a little nervous to stay in the wilderness but the yurt has absolutely all necessities! Nothing like a warm shower after spending the day in the Catskills. The yurt was comfortable and peaceful and the absolute perfect getaway. Marty was also super welcoming and let us know he was nearby if we needed anything
