• Petra (8/5): - Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb aber man kann zu Fuß bis ins Dorf gehen aber das dauert schon so seine Zeit ca 20 bis 30 Minuten. Bis in den letzten Winkel vom Dorf länger. auf dem Weg sind mehrere Möglichkeiten silberschmiedekurse zu machen und massagestudios und die Vermieter bieten an eine Scooter taxifahrer zu organisieren. den habe ich genutzt der war sehr zuverlässig und sehr nett und hat für mich am Wasserfall anderthalb Stunden gewartet. Das Beste an der Unterkunft ist die Lage mit dem Blick auf die reisfelder - sehr friedlich am Morgen und die Besitzer sind außerordentlich freundlich, besonders der Vater und die Tochter, die Englisch sprechen, die sich um die Vermietung kümmern. die Mutter hat einen Shop nach vorne hin zur Straße. der Vater hat sich am Schluss noch mal erkundigt ob es einem gefallen hat und die junge Tochter, die ist so herzlich also, man fühlt sich wirklich da sehr sehr sehr willkommen ich kann diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

• Geraldine (10/5): Hermosa estadía !! - Todo. Ketut y su familia son súper amables. Hay solo dos cabañas lo cual es súper tranquilo. El desayuno es muy rico!! te lo sirven en la terraza del cuarto y comes viendo los arrozales. Tenés restaurantes cerca muy buenos. Yo elegí este hotel por los buenos comentarios y no me equivoqué ! La zona es muy tranquila y hay senderos de arrozales hermosos para caminar. Ketut también se ofreció como taxista para llevarme a mi nuevo destino, lo que facilitó mi viaje. La cabaña es espaciosa y súper limpia !! Todo perfecto

• Lenke (10/5): Ein rund um perfekter Aufenthalt. - Die Bungalows sind nagelneu, super sauber und extrem komfortabel. Das Bad ist wirklich toll und das Bett auch sehr bequem. Das Frühstück jeden Morgen auf der Terrasse war klasse und ein sehr entspannter Start in den Tag. Man wurde liebevoll umsorgt. Ein Taxisservice war auch kein Problem. Man kann toll spazieren aber auch Essen in der Umgebung. Alles super !

Chaque personne de l'équipe est adorable, accueillante et aidante. Ils m'ont apporté le petit déjeuner sur ma terrasse. Ils ont aussi une bonbonne d'eau pour remplir sans racheter de bouteilles plastique, c'est top !! L'emplacement est magique, on peut aller à pied faire une promenade dans les rizières de sidemen (25k) et manger (2 très bons warungs à 3mn à pied). J'en suis repartie émerveillée, merci pour tout 🙏 Rien du tout !

• Tristan (10/5): Incroyable - J’ai passé un super moment à Lumbung Umaluah Villa. Ketut et sa famille étaient aux petits soins pour veiller à ce que mon séjour se passe au mieux. J’ai pu organiser plusieurs activités avec Ketut (ascension du Mont Agung et cours de cuisine) et tout s’est très bien déroulé. La chambre était nickel avec une super vue sur les rizières. • Julia (10/5): - Die Lage inmitten von Reisfeldern ist fantastisch. Die Gastgeber aind wirklich herzlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und wird frisch zubereitet. Das Zimmer ist groß mit kleinem Balkon und schönem Badezimmer. Ich kann diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen!

Une vue…se réveiller sur les rizières s’est quand même assez exceptionnel. Petit point de malchance qui ne dépend en aucun de notre hôte mais le seul arbre abattu de la rizière était à côté, les coup de tronçonneuse à 6h du matin qui ont suivi nous ont rendu un peu chafouin.

Sidemen is a beautiful and calm area, from which you can start great day trips, e.g. to Mount Batur, Virgin Beach, Tirta Gangga, or Pura Besakih. Keep in mind that the restaurant scene in Sidemen is fairly limited; there are only a few non-Indonesian options.

Seulement 2 logements dans cette guest house qui rendent le séjour proche de ses habitants et nos hôtes ont parfaitement répondu à toutes nos demandes! • Hanny (10/5): Stukje paradijs op aarde - Alles wat je zoekt voor een droomvakantie op Bali vind je hier in het mooie huisje van de hardwerkende sympathieke eigenaar I Ketut Sumada. De twee huisjes liggen in een oase van rust met prachtige uitzichten op de dichtbij gelegen meest authentieke rijstterrassen van Indonesië en wel die van het dorpje Sidemen. Sidemen heeft zijn oorspronkelijke Balinese karakter goed weten te behouden. Je kunt er in de vele warungs (kleinschalige restaurantjes) voor een ongelooflijk klein bedrag heerlijk eten en drinken. De lokale bevolking is vriendelijk en spontaan en maakt graag een praatje met je. Lumbung Uma Luah, een van de mooiste paradijselijke plekken op aarde… Omdat Sidemen wat verder in het binnenland ligt, wat de natuur en de rust ten goede komen, moet je er wel even voor rijden met een taxi. Maar als je er eenmaal bent, zul je zien dat de rit er naartoe meer dan de moeite waard is geweest

• Chantal (10/5): A Small Paradise Amidst the Rice Fields - We were incredibly lucky to stay at one of the two accommodations run by Ketut and his family – an absolute hidden gem! The location is stunning: nestled among lush green rice fields and far from the hustle and bustle, it offers a truly peaceful atmosphere. Every morning, we enjoyed our breakfast right on the terrace – with views of the greenery, fresh air, and everything your heart could desire. The breakfast was lovingly prepared and absolutely delicious! We especially want to highlight Ketut and his family. They are incredibly warm and helpful, offering great tips about the area and even organizing tours upon request. This allowed us to explore the surroundings at a relaxed pace while gaining many authentic impressions. With only two accommodations, the limited number of guests makes it feel like a small, family-run oasis – personal, peaceful, and absolutely relaxing. We would come back any time!

Die Unterkunft ist schön gelegen, mit einem fast freien Blick auf die Reisfelder von Sidemen. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse und den Menschen dort auf den Feldern bei ihrer Arbeit zuschauen zu können, ist einfach herrlich. Das Frühstück wird liebevoll zubereitet und auf Wunsch auf der Terrasse serviert. Gleich gegenüber ist ein kleines Warung, in dem es sehr leckeres Essen gibt. Man kann sich in der Unterkunft auch problemlos einen Scooter ausleihen. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen. Das wir nicht länger bleiben konnten.

El padre cocina muy ben y está todo muy bueno. Nosotros no encargamos otras actividades pero ofrece muchas opciones de actividades para hacer. Las vista también es muy xula. Todo estuvo perfecto.

Se deshacen en ayudarte y conseguirte lo que necesites…moto, chofer, gasolina… El único puntito a mejorar es el agua de la ducha ya que sale muy poca y es imposible lavarse un pelo de media melena. Por lo demás perfecto!

It’s right near the rice paddy walk so you can easily just walk over to the entrances from the accomodation. There are lovely warungs nearby. The family running this place are also a highlight. The landscape is beautiful, and what a privilege to wake up in the middle of the vegetation with a view over the rice fields, with birds and cicadas for companions. The room is in a charming independent wooden cabin – quiet, private and comfortable. The bed was spacious and extremely comfortable, we both had a very restful sleep. The breakfast (included) they brought to our balcony was just right. Our host Ketut was wonderful in every detail, always generous and accommodating – he arranged for us a guided tour in the rice terraces, and he was himself our private guide/driver for 2 days. It was also lovely to meet his wife and daughters, who all work in the business as well. You feel love and care in every detail. A truly heart-warming experience! Highly recommended. Beware of the nasty mosquitos in the rice fields!! (better use repellent)
• Barbora (10/5): Gorgeous stay in the middle of nature with kind locals - This place is gorgeous! I felt like I was on a luxurious glamping safari. The staff are so kind and helpful, the interior of the bungalows is beautiful and spotless. The bed is so comfortable and I had the best sleep. The surrounding rice terraces and view from the terrace is to die for. I only wish I could stay longer. The property is rural which gives it its charm but it also means that the surrounding jungle gets LOUD at night. I loved hearing the sounds but it might make it a bit difficult to sleep without earplugs (i was perfectly fine with mine). The walls are also not soundproof so if you are unlucky with your neighbors (only one other bungalow), earplugs come in handy again. I could hardly wish for a better place and better value for my money for my stay in Sideman.
• Faeze (10/5): Best villa I had in all Bali - very very helpful people. They organized transport and Tour. I felt me at home the villa is build very new in the heart of the nature with the best view to the rice teraces good resturants in 10-20 minutes walk

Having breakfast (very delicious by the way) with that view is unbeatable! Staff were very nice and helpful. There’s hot water and towels. You can walk to Sideman rice terraces from the villas. We only stayed for one night, wish we could stayed longer!

• Andrea (10/5): My stay was a gift of nature and privileged view into unspoiled Bali, wrapped up in just the right level of comfort and - Everything about my stay was perfect - Ketut and his family are such kind and thoughtful hosts. Ketut was always available, happy to chat and answer questions and help with solutions to the little unknowns that invariably pop up when visiting a new place for the first time. The breakfasts (and other meals offered) were all delicious and prepared with love. The villa and location are impeccable - I absolutely loved being surrounded by the sounds of nature and waking up to hear the roosters and see the sun rising over rice paddies. The villa was appealingly minimal but with every need considered from the comfortable bed to the lovely spacious bathroom and well stocked fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. 11/10 for cleanliness throughout. Nothing 😊

• Melinda (9/5): Overall it is a great stay in Sideman. Ketut and his family are wonderful and go out of their way to make sure you have - This beautiful property is located overlooking rice fields. The thing I loved, ended up being a bit of a problem but easily solved with earplugs. It is a symphony of nature here ❤️. Trying to sleep in the symphony was challenging. Earplugs are highly recommended.
• Martin (10/5): Exceptional - The bungalow is very pretty and clean. It has beautiful setting inside the Sidemen rice terraces. The owner is end-to-end busimessman, he runs every business imaginable. So at the property you can also rent a bike, order laundry, eat in a warung and buy stuff in his shop. The room also has fully packed minibar. We liked everything, we even prolonged our stay there.
