• Steyn (8/5): - The area is amazing! Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely bedding and atmosphere. The room had a somewhat musty odor, which I believe was due to dampness. There was some mold present behind the bathroom tap, and also in the other rooms. It would have been a pleasant addition to have mirrors in the bedrooms, rather than solely in the bathroom.

• Josh (10/5): - I have stayed here with my son a number of times before and everything is always perfect. The location, tbe people, the rooms and the facility's. Clean, comfortable, safe and with eventing you need. As an amazing amazing bonus, the duty manager Jack kindly gave my son a present which my son really enjoyed. What an awesome.thibg to do. • Collene (7/5): Good location - It was convenient for us, for our function we were attending No spare blanket for the bed and no heater for the room. We got the key early in the day before check in. As pre arranged on message, as we were coming back late at night to room. When we did arrive late our room was cold as windows were left wide open. Just a courtesy thing from staff knowing we were arriving late back, to check on room to close windows would of been nice. Also to explain about where to park, would of been good. Grounds outside could do with a tidy up.

• Danniellie (10/5): The alpaca manor - It is always a pleasure to stay at the alpaca manor. The staff are lovely and helpful. The environment is welcoming and peaceful, showers have great water pressure also.

• chiuta (8/5): My stay at Alpaca manor - Close to Massey university as I wanted. Fairly comfortable, peaceful environment and clean. I like the place, I can go back again and tell others about it. Staff should be more friendly to guests. They should at least refill coffee, sugar and milk for the tea/coffee station daily.
• Zoe (2/5): This is NOT a hotel - The grounds and building and woodland setting are exquisite. Lkely this was once a wealthy family compound. Perhaps Chinese. Very clean Whatever this is, it is not a hotel. There is NO signage. Even on the building. Remote. Finding it was a challange. There is no reception area and no personel. Bed horribly uncomfortable until I realized, one 'bed' was inner springs and the second bed the mattress. Only a bottom sheet and it was pilled polyester. All pillows cheap and different. Permanent residents. Little or no English spoken including by the manager / owner(?) who was annoyed and dismissive if you ask for help. No lighting outside. Find your car by the braile method. Lots of permanent guests. Feral kids. No safe. 5 hangars for 2 people. Sparse uncoordinated furnishing. Bring what you need, like water. Etc, etc, etc. Note: I am not a grump. All my other reviews have been positive

• Peter (6/5): Okay, but missing the expected - The location was okay, clean and tidy TV didn't work properly (seems to be a trend lately). Bed was short which meant my legs were hanging over the end. Interestingly, only a bottom sheet with a duvet. Very limited tea and coffee making supplies, but no milk Just seemed to be lacking the 'little things' that would make it comfortable.

• Tamara Lorenzo (10/5): A perfect, peaceful stay with wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home!!! - From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed at Alpaca Manor. The location is peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet just a short drive from shops. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. The shared kitchen and laundry were convenient, and the property was wonderfully quiet, a true calm retreat! Jack and Amy went above and beyond to make our stay special, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning soon! -

• Carley (7/5): Value for money, clean and comfortable. - The rooms were spacious and clean. The building was nice, with a communal kitchen and shared bathroom in great condition. It had everything we needed for our stay and was only 8 minutes from our destination at Long Bay. It was also great value for money. There was no check in desk and no one to great us on arrival, which was a bit confusing to start with, but eventually we found someone to show us to our rooms. There were no alpaca, so maybe they need to change the name of the establishment.

A guest house, rooms only. Kitchen inadequate for the amount of guests. Not clean, floor filthy, no sitting out areas that weren’t surrounded in be linen washing. Some staff smoked and hung about. Some semi permanent residents. No views, a long way out of anywhere.

• Jailani Musa (7/5): - A quiet and peaceful place, ideal if you’re just looking for a comfortable spot to rest. The bed was soft and cosy, which made for a good night’s sleep. Although the toilets are shared, they are maintained almost like a hotel setting, clean and well-kept. There are also laundry and dryer facilities available, which is convenient for longer stays. The location is a little distance from malls and supermarkets, so do plan ahead if you need supplies. That said, the staff were nice and helpful, which made the overall experience pleasant. need to ensure that you bring your own food/spices to cook. only coffee and tea is given. not like AirBnB settings.

• David (10/5): - Great place to stay just out of the North Shore, very friendly staff and very nice room! Very well equipped with great bathrooms. Big shared kitchen and laundry making the stay very comfortable. Great value for money.

Clean bathroom and good water pressure. No one to be found to check me in, was helped by a guest. Beside table not cleaned, guest info book all in pieces, no top sheet on bed and cheap microfibre doona cover. Face washers need to be replaced.
