Guest Reviews
- Snowy (8/5): Base Camp - The location was ideal for where we needed to go and for what we needed to do. It was very peaceful, which was lovely. The outside dining area could be improved by a bit more privacy and maybe a barbecue.
- Elsden (10/5): Peaceful - The peace and quitand Close to the village I think a short stay like 4 night max. But that adout it for me . Even one different.
- Megan (8/5): -
- Diane (10/5): Great location and really cosy - Had everything you needed. Great location with great views Could have been cleaner
- Josephine (7/5): A lovely little detached tiny house, ideal for two, very cosy, and nicely decorated, home from home. - Lovely location, lovely view, and so quiet, slept really well. Nice having the tiny house to ourselves, only a shame, time went so quick, and so we will come back, for another stay. Maybe a little radio, or a tv, especially for those chilly winter evenings, where you could light the little wood burner, and watch a movie, or a glass of wine, listening to a little music.
- Catherine (9/5): Fantastic little bunkhouse! Very well equipped and comfortable - great for a weekend stay. - Beautiful setting, very well equipped and responsive helpful host when there was a power cut! Myself and Ziggy my dog had a great stay despite Storm Amy!
Thank you!

- Lisa (8/5): We had a wonderful stay, the property is in an excellent location, it’s very peaceful. The views are beautiful. - The property was lovely and cosy and was well equipped for a small space. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was a nice size too. The property would benefit from deep clean, when making the bed I noticed all the dust on the bed frame under the corners of the mattress.
The frying pan needs replacing as the bottom of it is not flat and therefore doesn’t contact the induction hob.

- Adam Walder (9/5): Lovely stay, great place -Diolch yn fawr - We loved the place. As named a "bunkhouse" we did expect it to be basic, but it was beautifully decorated and modern with nearly everything you could wish for. Fabulous location with a large field in front and river beyond. We were lucky no sheep in the field so the dogs could run around a bit. A very cozy place at night. We only booked 2 nights but wish we had booked longer! May well be back! 😉 We loved the place so it is really hard to be critical. If we had to be nit picky and it is no way a criticism just personal preference, a coffee machine would be nice, and the shower door runner occasionally came off the rail. Neither of which detracted from our stay
- Rebecca (10/5): A wonderful few days in a great place. - Fantastic location. great little bunkhouse. Very well equipped.
- Rohith (9/5): Very good place to stay with a wonderful view outside. - Cozy and peaceful place to stay in betws-y-coed East to get dusty because of the location and winds.
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rowena (8/5): Lovely, peaceful break in beautiful surroundings! - Excellent position for our trip which included visiting Portmeirion, Zip World and Snowdon. Absolutely stunning location and a short easy walk to shops and restaurants in the village of Betws y Coed. (100% recommend the tapas restaurant!) Property had everything we needed for a short break away. Really peaceful too! Kitchen is pretty well equipped and we made a meal one night with no bother. We would definitely stay again. We would have preferred a pull down table or similar to eat at inside when it’s raining but that’s just a personal preference as we don’t like eating on the sofa. It’s not clear from the photos but there are other properties on either side of you. This wasn’t a problem for us but we were under the impression it was more secluded. The only other thing I would say is that it’s always nice to have a few coffee sachets and tea bags to get you started but maybe we have come to expect too much from stays at other places!
- Damian (8/5): Very good -
- Zoe (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect little place to stay. With lovely views. Very well situated with easy access to some beautiful walks. Although near a main road you couldn’t hear any traffic.
- Pamela (8/5): Very good -
- Kyle (8/5): Very good -
- Christine (10/5): What a little Gem 😍 - Tyddyn Bach is super cute.. it has all the amenities for an enjoyable stay. If you want peace and quiet you've got it in this little hidden gem.. The walk into betwys y coed is lovely. We only stayed 2 nights but wouldn't hesitate to stay longer.. You have everything on your doorstep here.. whether you want walking/driving ect days out their is so much to do.. Have a look at the information that is supplied when booking.. There isn't anything I didn't like.. the only thing is, at the moment the suspension bridge is not in use due to it being repaired and that is out of the hands of the owners.. when it is repaired this will be another added bonus of staying here
- Elizabeth (9/5): What a lovely little place! Super cosy, well equipped and comfortable. In a convenient location for exploring this beaut - Lovely and cosy, cottage was well equipped and comfortable. Nowhere to put cups near bed. Also could do with more coat hooks.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -

- Márk (7/5): Good -
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- Iwan (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ania (7/5): Good location, and pleasant stay 😊 - Location is simply amazing, scenic views. signal is good, house has most things to make a nice meal. It was tidy. A lot to visit around. Shower door broken, no place to put clothes on hangers , road to the house is pretty uneven. If you get there on a rainy day and can’t go explore then it’s it would feel like a box as it’s small and bit claustrophobic.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Horatio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (10/5): Lovely bunkhouse would stay again - Had everything you needed nice and private not far from village easy walking distance
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Great location access to amenities, quiet great nights sleep... N/a
- Catherine (9/5): A perfect base for exploring Snowdonia - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. The property is small, but the bed is incredibly comfortable, the kitchenette well equipped and it was perfect as a base for exploring the local area. We loved that there was no wifi or tv as it encourages you to disconnect and switch off! No space to unpack clothes, but we were aware of this before we travelled so not a surprise.
- Kate (8/5): Very good -
- Ben (7/5): Small, expensive but nice. - Property is cute, next to fields of sheep which was a bonus. Property was warm and the provision of wood was very nice. Mattress was comfortable. Provision of self catered items minimal. There was no hand soap and no oven gloves meant that taking items out of the oven was not easy. If not everything is provided, please mention this on the itinerary. For the cost of the accommodation given its size and comparison to nearby options this was expensive, especially as we had to provide our own bedding.
- Slawomir (10/5): We had wonderful moments in a holiday home with a wonderful view - Great location ,nice views ,very clean fully equipped kitchen ,very comfortable beds ,very friendly and helpful staff.
- Barnes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynne (9/5): Perfect place for a beautiful, comfortable short getaway - Great location , perfect for what we needed
Amazing comfortable bed
Fire to keep us warm
Better than hotel room due to facilities Ran out of space to put stuff
- Matthew (9/5): Wonderful. - I love that it was a great get away from the busy world. There was no wifi which we loved, and it's convenient to get to the wonderful Betws-y-Coed village but you also feel quite remote. Will definitely come back. There could have maybe been more space to hang clothes up. I know it's a small space but even a maiden that could be stored under the bed that you can get out when you need it would have helped. We walked up Snowdon and got drenched and it was difficult to get everything dry even with a roaring fire. Only thing I'd say, everything else was perfect!
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional - This is a wonderful little place that can not be faulted. It had everything we needed for a comfortable, cosy and memorable stay. It is perfectly situated for popping into Betws-y-Coed for a drink and easy access to the places we visited (Beddgelart and Watkins Path etc) and has wonderful views across the valley towards Betws-y-Coed. The bunkhouse is absolutely perfectly equipped and we were able to make a fabulous meal each night which we sat by the lit wood burner to eat. No wifi not a problem as the 4G was excellent and we watched Netflix on the iPad! Bed is incredibly comfortable too and lovely spacious electric shower. Instructions and communication really clear too. Honestly thought this place was a slice of perfection! Not a negative but just a point to note…You should be able to walk to Betws-y-Coed as you can practically see it across the field from the bunkhouse but the pedestrian suspension bridge that would give you access is temporarily closed. Therefore you would have a 2km approx walk on the main road if you didn’t have a car.
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Dave (8/5): Very good - clean, modern, cosy, wood burner stove was great no storage, there's not a lot of room for storage but just some drawers under the bed or something would make a difference. Having to take your own bed linen was a pain, for me anyway, would have prefered linen supplied even if it meant more cost
- Hannah (9/5): Gorgeous location, lovely stay! Just a few changes and it would be perfect! Would recommend for couples and would defini - Fabulous location! Very cosy and private. The mattress topper was stained and the shower didn’t drain very well. All fixable issues.
- Lona (9/5): A lovely place to stay for a relaxing break.Everything you would need was at the property. - Tyddyn Bach Bunkhouse was set in a tranquil scenic location which we enjoyed.Emma was a welcoming host and very helpful. We fancied a fire going one evening but the smoke alarm kept going off
- Louise (9/5): Superb - It is in the perfect location for what we wanted. It was lovely and clean, very comfy and nice and quiet. Not a lot of people know how to use a log burner so I would recommend having instructions on how to use it.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Syed (10/5): Exceptional - The view and location are most impressive. The house itself was very tidy and clean and all necessary things were there......loved it....would definitely recommend for couples who wants to spend lone time....... Everything was perfect but one thing though was not a big issue for us was no wifi.........
- Astrid (10/5): It looks a paradise - The location is absolutely amazing.
It is a tiny house but has everything needed for relaxing days. Please note that there is no wi-fi It could have a microwave and an indoor small table for the meals
- Karl (10/5): Exceptional - A cosy inviting place with one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on. Clean and modern with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away with our dog.
Beautiful views and close to the town
- Rayssa (6/5): Not suitable for light travellers - The property is nice and was clean, nice views. When I made the reservation there was nothing on the ad to suggest that there would be no bedding or towels available. We found out after the reservation was made and when we got a text from the host informing us that we had to bring king size sheets and duvet cover, pillowcases, towels, bath mats and TOILET ROLLS. We were going by train with small bags for just two nights, and suddenly we're having to carry double the amount of weight in our backpacks just from stuff that is provided on any other accommodation. I'm glad to see now it is clearly stated in the ad that these items are not available to cut costs, but I still think they should be offered at an additional cost, otherwise this accommodation is not really viable for travellers with our profile (traveling light, by train, for limited time).
- Deborah (8/5): Great small little bunkhouse to stay in for afew days. Great location, modern place - Bed was a little cramped no good for tall people
No where to hang clothes
- Sarah (7/5): Functional - Simple and accessible Was a shame there was no WiFi but this was in the property description but for the price we paid we would have expected WiFi
- Hannah (7/5): Good -
- Helen (10/5): Absolutely fantastic location and a rare gem. - Beautifully presented, very clean and easy to find. Modernly decorated, quiet. Kitchen fully stocked with self catering items. Great communication with hosts. Close to town and other activities. Modern appliances. Clear expectations. Would stay again absolute no brainier. That we only stayed for two nights! Not long enough!
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Danielle (8/5): Very good -
- Rosie (9/5): beautiful bunkhouse in a convenient and stunning location, a short walk from Bewts-y-coed and accessible to the mountain - stunning location, clean and tidy, well equipped. very comfy bed! great outdoor patio area. the water heater was broken on arrival
