• Stefanie (10/5): Einfach nur Woooooow! - Einfach alles - die Lage mit der Aussicht und der Ruhe, das mega tolle Frühstück. .... um nur ein paar Dinge zu nennen. Sonya und ihr Mann sind sehr herzliche Menschen und haben uns viel wissenswertes erzählt und ganz tolle Ausflugtipps gegeben. Sie hat mir auch gleich Yoga-Matten zur Verfügung gestellt und ich habe jeden Morgen auf der Aussichtsplattform mit Blick auf das Meer und den Naturgeräuschen Yoga gemacht - ein Traum. Würde sofort wieder buchen!! Auch sieht man Affen und mit etwas Glück den Knysna Loerie rund um die Lodge. Die "Map of Africa" (Aussichtspunkt) ist auch direkt ums Eck. Es war ein soo wunderschöner Aufenthalt, wir kommen definitiv wieder.
• Bettina (10/5): Paradiesisch :) - Wir wurden super herzlich empfangen. Die Unterkunft ist ein Traum & alles ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Dort gibt es den schönsten Pool, den ich je gesehen habe. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wurden sehr verwöhnt. Das Frühstück ist unfassbar lecker! Es gibt auch drei sehr süße Hunde! Ich möchte auf jeden Fall wiederkommen! ---

• Frank (10/5): Einer der schönsten Orte für den Sonnengruß, wenn sich am Morgen die Sonne über die Berge schiebt... - Einer der schönsten Orte für den Sonnengruß, wenn sich am Morgen die Sonne über die Bergkette schiebt und die ersten Strahlen am Horizont auf das Holzdeck treffen. Nie hätten wir Langschläfer gedacht, dass wir so früh dieses Schauspiel derart genießen würden, um dann mit dem nicht nur für das Auge so außergewöhnlich köstlichen Frühstück weiterzumachen. Es gibt keinen Grund von dieser Frühstückterrasse mit dem atemberaubenden Ausblick auf all das Grün und das Meer aufzustehen. Erst recht nicht, wenn Raneiro den dritten Cappuccino bringt und Sonya lächelnd ihr einzigartiges Omelett zaubert. Die beiden machen das Views Over Wilderness erst zu dem Ort, an dem du bleiben möchtest. Zwei ganz besondere Menschen mit einer besonderen Geschichte. Wertvoll für die Community, die Menschen in Wilderness und für uns Gäste. Das riesige Grundstück von mehreren Hektar haben die beiden zum größten Teil natürlich belassen und damit den heimischen Tieren, wie den putzigen Vervet Monkeys oder den wunderschönen Knysna-Turakos einen fantastischen Lebensraum erhalten. Herrlich, wenn sich die kleinen Äffchen unbemerkt zum Frühstückbuffet turnen und die exotischen Vögel in den Bäumen sitzen. Haiba, Panda und Petalo, die lieben Vierbeiner, sind dabei meist entspannte Aufpasser. Vor zwei Jahren hatten wir eine Unterkunft direkt am Meer. Dort hörten wir nur das Wellenrauschen. Hier oben ist es eine andere Welt. Exotisch, ruhig, einzigartig. 10 Tage waren definitiv viel zu kurz. Selten ist uns ein Abschied so schwergefallen. Wir kamen als Fremde und gingen als Freunde. • Lena Maria (9/5): Views over Wilderness fasst es perfekt zusammen - traumhafte Aussicht, sehr moderne Zimmer & große Fenster, Besitzer:innen waren super freundlich und haben uns mit Tipps versorgt, sehr gutes Frühstück. Die Außenanlage war ebenfalls traumhaft mit einem Pool und vielen Liegemöglichkeiten Wirklich eine großartige Unterkunft, die ich jedem nur empfehlen kann zwischen Klo/Dusche & dem restlichen Zimmer gab es leider keine Abgrenzung, sondern nur eine Wand die nicht bis ganz nach oben gegangen ist. In der Früh ist es im Zimmer recht warm geworden, da die Sonne direkt reingeschienen hat und in unserem Zimmer gab es keine Klimaanlage

Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt 🫶🏻 Der Blick über Wilderness ist atemberaubend und lädt zum chillen am Pool ein. Die Unterkunft ist aber auch ein super Startpunkt, um weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten entlang der Garden Route zu erkunden. Vielen Dank an alle, wir können euch nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

• Thomas (10/5): Wir kommen gerne wieder! - Die sehr persönliche Betreuung der Gäste, in Kombination mit einer tollen Lage mit Sicht auf das Meer machen views over Wilderness zu einer besonderen Unterkunft. Wenn man dann noch Morgens im Pool den Sonnenaufgang erlebt und danach ein tolles Frühstück genießt, war der Einstieg in einen tollen Tag perfekt.

• Markus (10/5): Einfach nur gut! - Familiäres Umfeld mit Traumlage. Perfekte Gastgeber. Erholung pur! Viele Orte in der Gardenroute erreichbar ohne ständig das Hotel wechseln zu müssen. Ausreichend Restaurantes mit breitem Angebot in der Nähe. Immer gerne wieder.
• van der Meulen (10/5): - De locatie was absoluut TOP! Sonya en Raneiro waren bijzonder gastvrij, vriendelijk en altijd bereid om te helpen. Je voelt je er meteen welkom. Het ontbijt was uitmuntend: zeer uitgebreid, met veel keuze en variatie, en bovendien met veel zorg en aandacht verzorgd. Een perfecte start van de dag. Onze kamer met zeezicht en een eigen privéterras was werkelijk fantastisch. De kamer was ruim, comfortabel en smaakvol ingericht, net als de ruime badkamer. Wat deze accommodatie extra bijzonder maakt, is de open en lichte architectuur. Door de grote ramen en open structuur vloeien binnen en buiten als het ware in elkaar over, waardoor je voortdurend kunt genieten van het licht, de ruimte en de prachtige omgeving. Een plek waar je echt tot rust komt. Absoluut een aanrader!

• Eric (10/5): Traumhafter Ausblick, tolle Zimmer und persönliche Atmosphäre - Unser Aufenthalt bei Views of Wilderness war etwas ganz Besonderes. Sonya und Raniero haben uns mit ihrer herzlichen und aufmerksamen Art sofort willkommen geheißen - die Atmosphäre ist persönlich, ruhig und sehr gemütlich. Die Einrichtung ist besonders schön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Der Ausblick ist einfach traumhaft und die Zimmer sind modern und stilvoll. Dieser Aufenthalt wird uns lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Wir können diese Unterkunft von Herzen empfehlen!

Het enige minpuntje is de lawaaierigheid op de slaapkamer achteraan gelegen maar aan de ingang en het onthaal zeker als er gasten vroeg inchecken en ontbijten ! Hier misschien toch rekening mee houden ! Maar voor de rest TOP TOP TOP !

• Michael (10/5): Stilvoll und Wow-Aussicht - Die Unterkunft ist ein absoluter Traum! Tolles Haus, wunderschöne Aussicht, moderne gut ausgestattete Zimmer und viel Platz. Stilvolle Zimmer-und Hauseinrichtung bei der man sich sehr schnell Wohl fühlt. Modern mit viel afrikanischem Flair. Die Pool-Anlage mit den bequemen Liegen haben wir leider aus Zeitgründen nicht nutzen können, wäre jedoch mit diesem Aus-und Weitblick zur Küste von Wilderness sehr empfehlenswert. Die beiden Gastgeber Ranjero und Sonja haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und legen viel Wert auf persönlichen Gästekontakt. Das reichhaltige Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen und vieles wurde persönlich serviert. Wir können diese megatolle Unterkunft jeder Zeit weiterempfehlen und kommen bei nächster Gelegenheit auf jeden Fall wieder!

• Anna (10/5): Wunderschön!! - Wir wurden super herzlich von den Sonya und Raneiro in Empfang genommen. Es war wie nach Hause kommen! Nach einem Rundgang durch das guesthouse - welches mit Abstand das schönste war, welches ich je besucht habe, wurde uns das Zimmer gezeigt. Dieses war ebenfalls wunderschön, super sauber! Ein Traum! Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war ebenfalls eine 10 von 10. Sonya bereitet alles mit Liebe vor, backt kleine Törtchen etc. Alle Produkte, die Sonya verwendet, stammen aus der Region!! Rundum waren es gelungene Tage! Wir wurden morgens vom Sonnenschein im Zimmer geweckt, ebenfalls ein Highlight! Wir kommen wieder! Das wir nicht länger bleiben konnten !!! :-)

Breakfast included local breads, cheeses and hams making an impressive spread. Eveng the dogs were friendly! Love to return but a 12 hour flight is a minor drawback!

• Annabel (10/5): All in all 10/10 experience mostly due to excellent hosts, who know how to make their guests happy. - We loved everything about our stay at Views over Wilderness, the hosts were the kindest people, they gave us very helpful tips and were also interested in their guests. The breakfast was amazing, we did not miss a thing. No AC in the bedroom - but a quick dip in the pool and you'll forget about it :)
• Lauren (10/5): One of the best experiences in my life ! - Where to begin….. have given this a lot of thought as to how to convey the level of excellence of hospitality we experienced, unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. Sonja and Raneiro are 2 of the most interesting and inspiring people I have ever met, and provide their guests with an exceptional experience on every level, starting with a warm welcome, and a glass of wine, followed by a tour of the most stunning tastefully furnished “house”. The views overlooking the ocean are breathtaking, words and pictures can’t convey the magnificence. The rooms are beautiful, and comfortable, from the bed linen to the natural botanical products. Every detail has been thought through. The breakfast spread, goes above and beyond…. everything of the finest quality, presented so beautifully. Every morning aside from the staples, there were different breads, pastries, cheeses, and meats, including delicious smoked springbok carpaccio ! Every activity S&R recommended was fabulous, we just wished we had booked a couple more nights, but already planing the next visit. Their gentle well behaved dogs were an added bonus, as we are dog lovers Can honestly not think of anything negative to say, which is a first for me, as I believe it’s important to be honest about one’s experience.

Especially Sonya and her husband make this place like a home away from home, so welcoming and helpful. From the hotel you can do many things like paragliding, visit the caves, the beach and much more. We hope to come back soon! Nothing!
• Albayan (10/5): Unforgettable Stay with Fabulous Service and Stunning Views - I recently had the pleasure of staying at Views Over Wilderness from late July to early August, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The location is unbeatable, perched on top of Wilderness with breathtaking views of the sea and mountains. It’s perfectly situated for exploring the area and enjoying the natural beauty of the surroundings. I stayed in a double bed room, and I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a room with a stunning sea view. The breakfast offerings were generous, fresh and satisfying, setting a positive tone for the day. The service was exceptional. Hosts Sonya and Raniero went above and beyond, providing insightful recommendations and making reservations for a variety of activities along the Garden Route which truly enhanced my stay. The place is also pet-friendly, which adds a wonderful touch for travelers with furry companions. The entire stay felt incredibly homey and comfortable. Every detail, from the room decor to the outstanding service, contributed to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Views Over Wilderness to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway. Nothing. It truly deserves a 5 out of 5 stars.

The property has a very nicely designed interior and an amazing pool with a beautiful view over the surrounding forest and sea. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast buffet is superb and the hosts made sure that we enjoyed our stay. We felt like home and would love to come back!
• Grace (10/5): Everything about this place is just AMAZING! Can`t wait to come back. - The wonderful hosts Sonja and Raneiro make this gorgeous place even more magical. They go to great lenghts to accomodate their guests, they are welcoming, superfriendly and sweet. The interior decoration is beautiful with sleek but still African design which makes it a warm place to stay. The breakfast is just amazing with a great choice, the pool is fabulous and the views are superb. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully designed. You can see the love of the owners into this place. And their dogs are just sweet, as are the little monkeys on the roof :-). We can recommend this little paradise to anyone (stay multiple nights, it is worth it!) Nothing, everything is perfect.

Startin with Sonja and Raniero, two wonderful, amazing, friendly, inspiring people, who love seeing their guests happy and also their wonderful and impressive dogs. The room and the bed are amazingly comfortable, the breakfast is amazing and the pool is also genuine, Salt water perfect for a little morning swim or just enjoying the stunning view in the pool! Thank you so much for those three days!!
