Guest Reviews
- Natacha (9/5): Nature escape - The place was unique and the facilities well thought. The bed was comfortable. The host help us to connect electricity and was super responsive. If you want to connect with nature and be isolated from the busy town, this is a great escape. It is 10km from our path, which was a little bit too much for two backpackers doing the cleveland way. However, you can find a taxi to reach the place.
- Elspeth (7/5): With glorious weather we were able to sit outside until bedtime. - It’s very cute but it’s not very easy to get a decent nights sleep in the bed which is hard to get in and out of It’s lovely and fun and quirky but not very practical
- Donna (8/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): - Lovely cute little wagon, very cool experience! Bed a little short but didn't bother us too much
- Tracey (10/5): Relaxing - The coffee machine only half filled the cups
- Chris (8/5): Totally unique & fun experience to stay -
- Christopher (10/5): - Excellent spot,we will be back, thankyou.
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Eldon (8/5): Short and sweet - Location was great for what I needed
Facilities where spot on too
Circus Wagon super cute I booked the Circus wagon and unfortunately the futon style bed matteress kept moving (splitting in 2) so it kept waking me up.
We had 50 - 60mph gale force winds too which could not be helped but didnt rock me to sleep 🤣
- Donna (10/5): Lovely quiet and peaceful, nice walks…,we had beautiful weather so made the most of the BBQ and fire pit. Beautiful plac - Quirky, different! Good value for money, very quiet, excellent facilities-showers, kitchen, little shop with honesty box.
Lovely reservoir a short walk away with a nice 4 mile circular walk around it.
Pub and garage in walking distance. Nothing.
- KevF (9/5): Novel, brilliant, gives you plenty to talk about afterwards - This was the most novel place I've stayed (I'm usually a hotel, not a camping person). A tiny little wagon that blows around in the wind and is freezing overnight (it was one of the coldest nights of the year), with the toilet and shower block a walk across a field, with a little fan heater to warm it up, and fairy lights to light it, no TV, and I didn't get the wifi code.
Had the most enjoyable night. Honestly. It was a novelty, and who doesn't want to tell everyone they stayed in a circus wagon?
This would be a lot more bearable in warmer weather, and won't suit lovers of comfort and luxury. But for an anecdote-worthy change, at a brilliant price, it was well worth it.
The owners contacted me the next day apologising that they hadn't known I was staying (which is why they didn't give me the wifi code, and I imagine there would have been more fresh bedding had they known) and offering to give me a discount, but I declined. I got what I expected and enjoyed it. You'll have to be prepared for it being cold in cold weather, and it is very small. Once the bed's folded out, it fills the cabin. And brace yourself for a freezing walk to the toilet, shower and kitchen. But if you're a regular camper you won't think twice about it and will love it
- Cosmin (9/5): - The place is great, the wagon is cozy and warm, beautiful. We have enjoyed our stay and will definitely return The car noises was the only downside, the field is close to the road, is not super loud but that's the only "issue" we have found.
- Colin (6/5): It was ok - Thought it was a good idea but I’m 6 foot 3 to be honest it was a little small think the bed should off been the outher way round another 3 foot longer the wagon would off been ideal but I hey go thanks Bed
- Emma (9/5): Happy circus adventure - Cute little wagon with great facilities onsite. Host was excellent and great communication. N/A. Bed would not be long enough for someone taller than 5ft 5" to lay flat (which is made clear in the description) but we were fine!
- Steph (10/5): - Bathroom facilities were great. The Wagon itself was so warm and cosy, even in February! Location was excellent for visiting seaside towns and local walks. .
- Trotter (8/5): - Very nive location bit of a rustic stay showers toilets and kitchem spotless nive set up Nothing
- Glynis (10/5): - Loved the uniqness of the cabin, very clean and the facilities were excellent, good information received pre visit,, location was lovely and quiet. Would stay again if in the area The steps (for me) into the cabin were steep
- Peter (4/5): A misrepresented accommodation a lot smaller than expected - Location Facilities in the unit there were none
- Lyle (10/5): Amazing - Really quirky , cosy and warm
Everything we needed was in the wagon and onsite
Nice and relaxing
Thank you, we will be back
- vicky (9/5): Thank you, we had a great night! - Nice, quiet farm…will be really lovely when all the young trees have grown around the glamping plots.
- Solloway (8/5): Nice Glamping site, tiny but cute wagon. - The cleanest campsite we’ve ever stayed at. Showers were excellent. The wagon is cute but tiny. Afraid the bed was too short and the mattress uncomfortable. Everything else good.
- Tracy (9/5): - The location .the facilities. The wagon was cute but too small for my partner but we had a wonderful time The small bed but was expected as was stated what size
- Kellett (10/5): - The whole campsite was wonderful Nothing
- Glynn (10/5): -
- Joanne (7/5): Quirky accommodation on a fabulous campsite - The campsite was beautiful with great facilities. Excellent location for exploring the NE England coast. The wagon was beautiful but the bed was too short for two adults to share comfortably.
- catherine (10/5): Stayed for one night. Enjoyed ourselves, loved the wagon, fire pit and laughed a lot. Thank you 😊 - It was quirky. Loved it. The bed space was a little small. Thank goodness neither of us was overly tall.
- Claire (9/5): Gorgeous glamping! - The idea of this fun! The site was clean and facilities were good. The honesty shop was a lovely thing. Communication with owners was great. The circus wagon itself is compact which you would imagine! It would be difficult to sleep if you are 6ft over!
- Julie (8/5): Lovely place with very clean facilities - Very very clean toilet shower and kitchen facilities
Really tranquil area The bed wasn’t really for us we are both in our sixties and need comfort, not saying it wasn’t comfy but we are used to our big comfy bed at home
- Kal (10/5): Perfect! - The wagon was lovely, really comfy bed and a beautiful location. The facilities were really nice and clean. Short and very nice drive to lots of lovely beaches and walks.
- Vanessa (5/5): Lovely, unique experience. Bed too small for adults. - Overall very well thought out setup. Great facilities (you may want to bring your own tea and coffee). Lovely host. Great location and view. Easy to find. Bed is too small for adults so unable to get a good night's sleep
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Craig (7/5): Good -
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful escape - Beautiful wagon, grounds and facilities. The location is easy to find and so handy for a trip to the Coast - Sandsend, Saltburn-By-The-Sea and Whitby only a short drive away. Highly recommended. Clean, cosy and comfortable. Nothing. - although it may be too small for someone very tall. There were plenty of other options including some beautiful yurts.
- Shirley (10/5): Beautiful place to stay - The site and facilities were one of the best we have ever visited
Very quite even though the rest of the visitors had children they were very quiet on a night n early mornings The hooks in the showers could be a bit bigger
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isaac (10/5): Lovely, unique and can’t wait to stay again! - Very unique and had all we needed. We loved it! Very chilled and location was great, right between Whitby and Saltburn.
- Billie (10/5): Unique quirky stay in the most beautiful surroundings. - Unique quirky stay in the most beautiful surroundings.
- Ds (10/5): Quirky, quaint, quintessentially circussy. - Had a great stay in the Restored Circus Wagon, and a wonderful evening...sitting outside stargazing with a glass of wine.
- Craig (8/5): cute, quaint - it was cute, quaint and fun to stay in I was too tall for the bed.
- Chris (8/5): Stay in a Restored Circus Wagon - Clean, comfortable, good price. Check in could not be easier. Very quiet. Good heating and lighting. Good kitchen (with fridge) and shower facilities close by. It was very windy which affected sleep but that's not the fault of anyone.
It would have been helpful to have instructions for the bed and sofa conversion but we managed.
Location is a bit out of the way but that's to be expected.
It is small but that's a given so may not be for the claustrophobic. It wasn't a problem.
A reminder to take own tea and coffee as kitchen only had drinkable water and a kettle and sugar.
- Leaah (10/5): Lovely stay - The hosts were lovely, very accommodating and great communication! The bed was super comfy and cosy in the wagon. The facilities were all clean and the kitchen is well stocked with kitchenware for you to use. Location is peaceful and the view from the wagon is lovely. Great value for money and would definitely stay again! Nothing
- Kayleigh (9/5): Quirky, peaceful and welcoming - Quirky accommodation surrounded by peaceful views. The only thing we felt was missing, was some kind of ventilation as it got too humid in the night.
- Rubin (10/5): Lovely peaceful stay - Fun Nothing
- Janet (10/5): Brilliant! Such a fantastic, unique place to stay! - Enthusiastic host Steve!
