Guest Reviews
- Marsha (8/5): Fantastic! - The location primo. Only complaint is didn't have kitchen towels or paper towels. Also, instructions or english interpretation sheet for washing and drying machine. Would definitely recommend renting!
- Marjolein (8/5): -
- Donahue (9/5): Was a fantastic location and a beautiful apartment with everything you could need. - Great location
- Contreras (10/5): Exceptional - The location is perfect! It allowed us to swing by when needed in between activities and is within a 10 minute walk to the train station. The AC was lovely and much needed for a summertime visit. The staff response rate was also very efficient.
- Lisa (9/5): Great stay. No issues that caused us any inconvenience. Great location and great communication with the host. The entry - Property was really well located. It was spacious, comfy beds and good showers. Clean on arrival, lots of storage and felt really safe.
Great Starbucks really close. Surrounded by cafes and restaurants, short walk from train station. The sofa really needs replacing as it looks tired and old. We didn’t really use it.
Only 3 very large mugs which was a bit strange as there were 4 of us. The only other option was espresso cups.
Difficult to dispose of the rubbish.
- Troy (10/5): Excellent - Location and facilities wonderful, we also appreciated the information received from management who were very informative.
- Paul (9/5): Great location in Florence - The location of the apartment was great and having a lift to access it was a blessing. The apartment is very spacious and well appointed. It was not an issue for us, but if you have mobility issues, the 2nd bedroom and bathroom is upstairs in the loft.
- Laura (10/5): Space, light, silence: recharge yourself in the busy Florence hotspot - It actually was a bit like home away from home, felt private, well kept and clean, spacious enough for 4 people, classy even. Comfortable elevator, easy check-in, fast communication with the host. All the necessities were provided. We had to wait a bit for the check-in at 15.00, bacause the girls were still cleaning it. But it was not a big deal.
- Brian (7/5): Good -
- Pamela (9/5): Exceptional - Design of the place and really clean excellent
- Nicoleta (6/5): Great location but poor facilities and very noisy at night — overall, a disappointing stay. - The location is great — right in the heart of Florence, close to major sights, restaurants, and shops. The apartment was very noisy at night, making it hard to sleep. The facilities were disappointing: no shower gel, only 4 small shampoos for 5 people, and we ran out of toilet paper. Not the level of comfort we expected.
- Steve (5/5): Meh.... - At first appearances a well appointed flat with everything you need (large fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave, washing machine, dryer etc) , easy to get into (you used your phone to access the downstairs door) and with (mostly) good communications with owner . Really well located - less than 10 minutes walk from main railway station and 5 minutes from the Duomo. It seemed perfect for a 7 night stay. So the main issue was the water system in the loft. At first we ran out of hot water on the first day, but the owner responded quickly and fixed it , however we tried to explain our main problem here that we noticed the first night. A pump or something next to the top bedroom would kick in at about 4:30 am every morning and wake everyone up. And then it would carry on kicking in every minute after that. It was impossible to sleep after 4:30 and we had to use ear plugs in the end. I have some recordings, but its a sound I'm unlikely to forget ! Our friends on the bottom room were also woken by it, however their main issue was street noise as their window faced onto the street (ok, not strictly the owner's fault as such , but better sound insulation might be useful !).
The flat did appear a bit tired - a cracked window in the kitchen ( I notified owner as soon as we arrived), and we later discovered the curtains hanging off in the downstairs bedroom ( but they were too high for us to fix). Also no toilet paper or hand soap in any bathroom when we arrived , though we found some later . The bathrooms weren't fully clean ( hairs on the floor). However we did arrive during some major rain and flooding in Florence, so maybe someone was in a hurry to get home...
It does seem a shame to award this flat only 5/10, and this does sound like a serial whinge, but the sleeping issue was a major killer for us and we were completely jaded and glad to leave the place at the end. My wife and I had been travelling Europe for a week prior to that and the weekend after that, before meeting our friends in Florence for the week and it was by far the worst place we stayed.
Some instructions about disposing of rubbish would be useful too for those of us not used to the Florentine system ( there are collection points just down the street for rubbish).
- Tracy (10/5): Excellent in every way! - The property was located two blocks from the Duomo, the elevator/lift was fantastic, the two bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect, the washer/dryer was helpful and our host was incredibly responsive and helpful.
- Meshary (8/5): Very good option for families and groups. - Location was amazing.
Price.
Size and space.
The easy access. Bed mattress seemed old and uncomfortable.
The kitchen closet and equipments wasn’t clean.
The sofa looks like old and dusty.
The windows isolation was bad, and you will hear any sound from outside like if window was open.
Check out was early 10:00 AM.
- Joseph (9/5): Florence was beautiful and the apartment location was PERFECT! - The amazing location, modern decor and style, lift to the 3rd floor, and space. Glad there was a washer and dryer (note: empty the water basin) and that we brought our own laundry and dryer sheets with us. The online check-in process was tricky without a laptop. We got knocked out of the link numerous times and had to start over if we didn’t “save” after each guest info entry. We arrived at Firenze SMN train station at 12noon and were unable to check into the apartment with our luggage until 3pm. Had to incur the cost for luggage storage for us to eat lunch and explore the city. Kitchen could use a kitchen towel and roll of paper towels. The first floor bedroom could provide a mirror.
- Liza (1/5): UNSAFE PROPERTY - Be Careful! Please Read Review - Warning: Unsafe Property!!!
I booked this property through Booking.com for a family vacation from the USA. While the unit is aesthetically pleasing and located in a convenient area, it is not a safe place to stay.
While our family was attending a cooking class between 6:00 -10:00 PM on Dec. 20, 2024 someone mysteriously entered the locked unit and stole several of our most valuable belongings, including two designer bags, jewelry, sunglasses, and shoes. Upon returning to the unit we found our belongings had been ransacked (photos attached). There was no sign of forced entry leaving us to question how the thief gained access. It raises concerns about whether someone with knowledge of the entry code waited for us to leave and accessed the flat during our absence.
When we contacted the owner for assistance, he immediately came to the unit and helped us call the police in Italian but dismissed the incident, stating that “thieves are everywhere in the world, and things like this happen.”
The police would not come out at that time of night to investigate so we had to wait until the following morning to file a police report. This experience has devastated us and left us with a major financial loss. The host felt no responsibility for the incident or our inconvenience, which only added to our distress.
For your safety, you may want to avoid this property. Though it may appear nice and comfortable, it was NOT a secure place to stay for us. There is no safe to store your valuable belongings in and, per the owner, the building has no security cameras at the entrance or in the common areas such as the hallways, elevator, stairwells, etc. If you want peace of mind during your travels, choose accommodations that prioritize guest safety.
Safety always comes first. Unfortunately, this property failed to provide it. UNSAFE PROPERTY!! Pictures are showing how the thief left our belongs!!! Unfortunately, booking allows only 4 images max.
- Kyra (10/5): Exceptional - This flat was gorgeous! The location was excellent (not far at all from the Duomo, and easy to reach the Uffizi and a host of other major attractions). The rooms were large, each with their own spacious private bathrooms, and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all sorts of pots and pans if you want to make your own food but there were so many brilliant restaurants nearby as well! The main door code didn't work initially when I arrived, but once I contacted the host they could not have been more helpful and the issue was quickly solved. The common area was huge, spacious and very airy - delightful to sit in and chat with friends. Amazing flat!
- Smitha (10/5): Beautiful apartment, well appointed, located centrally, quiet, easy access - It is a GORGEOUS place. Perfect location, clean, easy access, can't rave about it enough!!! That I dont live there!
- Farah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heng (9/5): Host was very responsive. Excellent location and luxurious apartment. We felt very at home. - The rooms were bright and has many windows for ventilation. Not often do you see an apartment this nicely designed. The lighting in the apartment was well designed. We had a nice welcome bottle of Chianti wine which was greatly appreciated. The number to call to get the code was quite tricky and eventually called Leo who kindly helped sought it out. Once sorted it was easy to use. As a backup we have the physical key as well. The bathrooms could do with a bit more toiletries during the 4 night stay.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amber (10/5): Modern apt and perfect stay - Everything inc AC Nothing
