• Jørn (9/5): Nice and quiet retreat from the busy medina - Quiet yet central location in the medina. Nice place with great service from staff (when present). Excellent beds. Not much happening or amenities, except for breakfast served on the roof terrace. The photographer made a great job, not so fancy IRL

Accueil pas très chaleureux, la personne qui nous a reçu pas très sympathique, pas de thé offert, pas d'explications sur les choses à voir. Par contre, d'autres membres du personnel étaient beaucoup plus agréables.

• rowanna (8/5): It is a cute little Riad. Right in the hustle and bustle. Good breakfast, wonderful manager - The room was clean and had everything you need. Beautiful. Cute building. Lovely traditional breakfast. When we met Mohammed the next morning with paperwork he was very kind and helpful. He reassured us that anything we needed he would get for us. On the day we were leaving he also sorted out some wine for us to take with us. It was my partners birthday and it’s very hard to get your own alcohol over here. Mohammed makes this place. He really does 😊 When we first arrived it was about midnight. The staff member looked tired (quite rightly) however we were shown straight to our room, we wernt given much information and then the door was closed and we felt incredibly trapped. My parter smokes and the staff member didn’t tell us we could go outside up on onto the terrace. I would also suggest if guests are arriving as late as us then to try to stay in touch with them, as once our taxi dropped us off we then had to walk through a street and a man was telling us to follow him to show us the way, he then he wanted money for walking us 2 minutes down the road, but we did not have any money yet. This was very intimidating at this time of the night… I would also suggest warning guests about the Islamic call to prayer that goes off several times a day… once in the room feeling trapped with this going off just felt a bit out of this works and not in a good way 😆 One night we couldn’t get a food reservation at the place we wanted until after 10pm so we were coming back very late, maybe gone 3am. The staff member was messaging me as wanted to go to bed… he then left us a key. I understand it was late but we were on holiday and should be allowed to not worry about staff being tired. Maybe have front door keys available for guests? 😊 This is all just our personal experience and I would recommend staying here as Mohammad is so accommodating… I just feel these things should be checked for guests comfort and peace of mind. I manage a guesthouse myself and would really appreciate knowing how I can improve for comfort of my guests 🫶🏼
• kosmosje (9/5): Heel mooie rustige riad - Iets buiten het echte centrum van Marrakesh, maar daardoor minder druk. Leuk dakterras. Heel aangenaam om hier te ontbijten. Ontbijt was TOP! Heel divers en vers met op vraag gemaakte eitjes. Heel vriendelijk personeel. Aangename, ruime kamer. Mooie binnenplaats. Het zwembad is meer een groot uitgevallen bad, maar kan wel dienen als verkoeling.

• Mary (9/5): Felt cared for and at home with easy access to the heart of the Medina. - It was on the edge of the Medina in the Bab Doukkala area. Just outside the souks - everything was about a 10 min walk into the heart of the Medina. Which we enjoyed. Walking there we witnessed real life among the locals. Always felt safe. The staff was amazing and kind. They told us “welcome home”. This is your home while you are here. And we felt well cared for. If we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. The breakfasts were perfect to start out day. We ate inside the internal courtyard area because the weather was a bit chilly & wet. So, we didn’t have an opportunity to enjoy the rooftop. But, don’t matter. It’s was lovely. The rooms were clean, spacious, and lovely. We stayed in 2 different rooms. Both were great. We left for the desert for a few days and they were so accommodating! They held onto items we didn’t want to take. And were waiting in the room when we returned. It’s a very chill & peaceful place. Simple. Clean. Quiet. Good people. Not too big.Easy access to the Medina and near one of the gates into the new part of the city, as well. We were fully happy!

• Francesco (6/5): - La stanza era ampia e pulita. La prima colazione era davvero ottima ed abbondante (fascia oraria 8.30-10.30). Abbastanza vicino ai ritrovi per le attività. Il quartiere non è turistico. La struttura si trova nel mezzo del mercato ortofrutticolo. Dista 15 minuti a piedi dai giardini majorelle e 20 dalla moschea. La camera aveva subito qualche danno: poggia asciugamani danneggiato, alcune prese elettriche non funzionanti, mancavano le istruzioni per la cassaforte. Lo spazio per i vestiti era adeguato. Il bagno era ben rifornito di accessori ma evidenzio la vasca molto alta (per persone di una certa età potrebbe essere pericoloso).

• Terence (10/5): We’d come back again and recommend it to our friends but feel a few tweaks are needed as regards our comments - It was a nice authentic property and very quiet place to relax in. The staff were very attentive at all times. We thought that when we booked there was going to be an indoor swimming pool which turned out to be a plunge pool. We felt that the lighting although very nice there were areas that were to dull especially around the mirror which made it hard to make up.

Proche d’un des portes de la ville vous n’aurez qu’a marcher que 2 minutes pour arriver au Riad. Les rues de Marrakech étant très animées, le Riad offre un endroit calme et reposant. L’atmosphère y est relaxant grâce à sa terrasse et sa piscine qui apporte un bon rafraîchissement après une journée de visite. Les chambres sont très propres tout comme le reste de l’établissements. Le personnel est souriant, accueillant, et fera tout pour que votre séjour soit agréable! Si vous avez besoin d’informations pour vos visites, sur les lieux incontournables ou sur les prix pratiqués dans le Souk, Mohamed se fait un plaisir de vous aider (encore merci à lui!). On ressent une vrai envie d’aider et de prendre soins des gens du début à la fin du séjour. La cuisine est très bonne et le petit déjeuner et très correct (vous n’aurez plus faim après)! Merci au Riad pour cet agréable séjour!

• Carl (10/5): Tremendous stay in the heart of Marrakech with amazing staff who will do everything to keep the guests happy and comfort - This was our first time in Marrakech. The rooms were of a very high specification. They were tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The bathrooms were superb. We had two separate rooms for the five of us and we adored the chic nature of our residence. There’s a rooftop area with sunbeds, tables and chairs to catch the sun which we were grateful for. We need to give credit to all of the amazing and accommodating staff, with extra special thanks to Hamid who was an absolute superstar. Mohamed also - he was brilliant too. The kitchen ladies were tremendous. Breakfast was excellent. It was fresh and there was enough variety to start the day. On New Years Eve (31st December) they cooked a lovely candlelit three-course meal for us which was on the rooftop with the portable heater on keeping us all warm and comfortable. We thought the location was fantastic, close to Bab Doukkala on the western edge of the city walls. This was our drop-off point where we were met from our grand taxi from Agadir by Hamid who guided us to Riad Chayma. The people that run this Riad really care about their property, its upkeep and cleanliness and they really do go the extra mile for their guests. We would return in a heartbeat. As for Marrakech; it’s edgy, it’s earthy, it’s authentic and genuine. We loved our time there. I think the “trick” with the Riads is to provide an oasis of tranquility and calm amongst the madness. They are a wonderful contradiction. It was interesting that Hamid regularly said “welcome home” when we returned from our days out. Home for three-nights it certainly was. Thank you Riad Chayma, Hamid, Mohamed & Team!! Everything was fantastic. Great value for money, great location & fabulous staff!
• Mustafa (10/5): Parfait - Personnel très sympathique accueillant attentif à toutes demandes nous avons manqué de rien pendant notre séjour au riad chayma il et très bien situé a l'intérieur des remparts, mais entre la nouvelle et l'ancienne ville. Le riad est sécurisé. C'est très propre, le petit déjeuner est copieux autant en sucré qu'en salé. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au calme. Tout était parfait, si je suis amené a revenir je reviendrais ici Rien à redire.

• Shafique (10/5): My stay was excellent overall — the room was spotless, the breakfast was enjoyable. - I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options, but my favorite part was the fresh orange juice — it was delicious and a perfect way to start the day. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would definitely stay here again. There was nothing to dislike, everything met or exceeded my expectations. I would happily stay here again.

• John (9/5): An oasis in the chaos! Highly recommend - Brilliant location, nice to be close to the edge of the chaos of the old town. Easy to get to the main roads/ taxi etc but your adventure starts as soon as you get out of the door. Room was lovely, staff helpful and very friendly but not over the top. Not a lot, as with all such Riads, you do wonder what you are letting your self in for when being led down a small grubby alleyway, but once in side you’ll feel safe and calm. ☺️

Het ontbijt was heerlijk, de riad was schoon en netjes en de kamer was top Het enige nadeel was dat het gehorig was. Je hoorde niet veel van buitenaf maar wel van binnenuit. Ook had een klein koelkastje (in dit geval voor medicatie) wel prettig geweest

Het ontbijt was erg uitgebreid en goed Het dakterras ligt op de dag vol met was waardoor je er een groot deel van de dag niet kunt vertoeven. Het ontbijt wordt pas vanaf 8.30u geserveerd. Nous avons dîner 1soir au riad. Entree plat dessert très copieux. C'était notre 1er riad donc pas de comparaison possible. Ce n'est pas que nous n'avons pas apprécié mais la rue du riad est très impressionnante, il est vraiment situé dans le quartier typique.

Nous avons été très bien reçus Le petit bassin ne peut pas être utilisé pour la baignade car le système de filtration ne fonctionnait pas, et cela ressemblait plus à de l'eau stagnante. C'est vraiment dommage car c'est un point important du riad. Des petits détails à améliorer dans la chambre: lunettes des toilettes non fixées par exemple.

Great value for money, located just inside the Medina wall at Bab Doukkala. The location had a constant stream of mopeds whizzing past, no pavements for pedestrians, you constantly had to stop and move out of the way. Local vicinity was dirty and a little smelly.

• Ihavebeenhere (10/5): Good stay - Its a more modern style Riad, still with some traditional design but with more modern features. Staff are nice, breakfast was lovely in the terrace, room was big with comfortable beds (bed is a bit too low), centrally located, good service. Really enjoyed our stay there.

• Sandra (10/5): This was my first time to Marrakech and staying in a riyad was definitely a great experience. - The breakfast was plentiful and they made accommodations regarding the time if you needed. The location is near a gate and therefore not too far to carry your luggage through cobblestone and crowded streets. There are men near the entrance to the Medina with pushcarts to assist with your luggage. You will appreciate their assistance when you have to dodge pedestrians and motor bikes flying down the narrow streets. The location was great, short 10-15 minutes walk to the souks and Jemma El-Fnaa Square. Definitely a cultural experience! More lighting in the room but they did offer additional lighting if requested.

• Sarah (8/5): Beautiful space and fabulous staff! - The property was great- beds were very comfy and the staff were fantastic- nothing was too much trouble! The aircon was ok but could have been stronger- took a long time for the room to cool down. The doors are heavy and the Riad echoey so when people come in very late at night, this can be quite loud!
• Edwina (9/5): Excellent Riad. A definite must stay! - Wonderful Riad in the centre of the Medina food district. As soon as you walk out of the very quiet Riad, you are met by the sights and sounds of the 'real' Marrakesh. Wonderful place to stay. The staff are amazing too!
• Kimberly (10/5): We loved this hidden gem in Marrakesh! - Riad Chayma was a wonderful place to stay. It is within the Marrakesh Medina, yet because it is close to the Bab Doukkala gate, it is easy to meet drivers for excursions or reach Gueliz, the new city. The staff was exceptional, made excellent recommendations, and were very accommodating with any requests we had. The Riad has been beautifully restored and was very comfortable. Nothing.

• Rose (8/5): Good base to explore the old and new town. - Lovely Riad, location was good for both old and new town- although street it is on is very busy, lots of scooters and is a real working market, fish, butchers, live chickens etc , fruit and veg it has it all! There is a small pool, but not really for swimming in, but this appears to be the same in most Riads. Staff were lovely, super helpful getting us taxis etc and supplying an earlier breakfast when needed. Nothing really, they looked after us, the room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The roof terrace was quite small, but the property only has 4 rooms so would not expect it to be bigger.

• Rohlergirl (9/5): Superb - My room - the Mint room, was on the ground floor and was a good size with a huge bed which was so tastefully dressed and super comfortable! I slept so well on my first night, especially needed when feeling unwell and coming all the way from Essaouria. Bathroom was big, clean with a decent hairdryer with a nozzle - yay! The rainfall shower was really good. Plenty of wardrobe space and the riad surprisingly quiet considering how noisy it was outside in the medina. Nice terrace and the breakfasts there in the morning were tasty and generous. Loved their home-made yoghurt. Great spot for getting to the Jardin Marjorelle within walking distance, albeit a hairy walk through the medina and just outside the gates. The manager Mohammed kindly made me a welcome smoothie as well as mint tea and gave me useful map to get around but I was only there 2 nights so didn't fit too much in. Used my one full day to explored the Marjorelle gardens and Yves Saint Laurent Museum which I thoroughly enjoyed! When checking out the next day, Mohammed let me wait around until ready to move on to my next place and escorted me to get a taxi there. There were no signs from the medina (north part) to find the riad so I got a little lost and it was so chaotic in that part so it would have been useful, plus if the host could have met me. I was a bit stressed being a solo traveller with large luggage.

His dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction truly made our visit unforgettable. Hamid went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, offering valuable recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. While Chayma Riad itself is undoubtedly charming and comfortable, it was Hamid's genuine care and attention to detail that truly set our experience apart. His hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed, and we are immensely grateful for his efforts in making our stay exceptional. Thanks to Hamid and the outstanding service he provided, our time at Chayma Riad was nothing short of perfect. We would not hesitate to return in the future, knowing that we will be welcomed with the same level of warmth and hospitality that made our stay so memorable. • Jenny (10/5): Beautiful Small Clean Boutique Hotel - The Bourique Hotel was lovely. Very Clean. Very quite and peaceful once you are in. The staff were amazin they couldn't do enough for you. We got a lot of good advice and all the do's and dont's to keep us safe and enjoy our few days away. The breakfast was lively and filling.. When the taxi driver dropped us off at the place we were shocked and surprised to see that we were in the middle of a busy bustling market place with all the hustle and bustle of Maarakesh. The hotel was tucked away in an alleyway. But after the first day we kinda got used to it.
• Jenny (10/5): Stop scolling and book this Riad - Wow! Book this Riad!! From the moment we were welcomed with mint tea and information about the old city we felt at home. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast on the roof terrace was lovely with something different each day. The room was spotless and had a lovely bed and hot shower. It's a 10 minute walk away from the square and souks, but an interesting walk through the market. Minutes walk to fab restaurants, bars, hammams and other attractions. Excellent value for money. Nothing. All was great!!

• Vicky (10/5): Don’t look any further - Absolutely perfect, great location with walking distance to the old centre/souk but also jardin Majorelle 😍 the staff is outstanding and the rooms clean and comfortable If I need to find something, on the street they make a lot of grilled meat and the smoke can come inside sometimes. But you simply need to turn off the ventilation and it’s fine
