Stefanie (7/5): - Schöne großzügige Anlage mit sehr freundlichem und bemühtem Personal. Die Zimmer waren groß, gute Matratzen und Moskito-Netz. Der Pool ist nicht sehr groß aber ausreichend, haben ihn allerdings nicht genutzt. Das Frühstücken ist nach Wahl englisch oder Sri Lankan Style mit Obst, Saft und Kaffee/Tee. Man ist auf ein Verkehrsmittel angewiesen, das Hotel liegt abseits von Zentrum und den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Leider war das Bad alles andere als sauber, sodass man auch diesen überdimensionalen Whirlpool, der die Hälfte des Bades einnimmt, nicht wirklich nutzen wollte. Kein Fenster im Bad, Abluftventilator funktionierte nicht. Das war etwas schade, sonst haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Rajitha (10/5): Absolutely Breathtaking Stay - My stay at Elysia Sigiriya was nothing short of incredible. The highlight was definitely the infinity pool overlooking the lake view was so serene and picturesque that I could’ve stayed there all day. Watching the sunset reflect over the calm water while floating in the pool was truly magical. The rooms were spacious and elegantly designed, with large windows that made the most of the lake view. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile and great local recommendations. Breakfast was another standout fresh, delicious, and served with that same beautiful view.

Henry (10/5): Completely Renewed With New Management Team & Staff - This is my second visit to Elysia Sigiriya, and I’m really impressed with the changes. The hotel feels completely renewed with a new management team and staff providing excellent service. Especially the General Manager is very kind and attentive, personally checking on guests and helping with everything. Great improvement and truly enjoyable stay.

Julien (8/5): Bel hôtel dans un beau cadre - Bel hôtel, idéalement, placé dans un joli cadre à côté d’un lac. Entre Sigiriya et Dambulla La piscine et le jardin sont jolis . La propreté est à revoir ainsi que le personnel qui n’est pas toujours attentif à ses hôtes. Certains membres du personnel font ce qu’ils peuvent mais il y a un souci de management Organisation des dîners un peu compliqué Peu de chaises à la piscine

SRIRAAM (10/5): Stay good, disappointing because of the food. - Spacious, surrounded by nature, river in the front and we enjoyed getting in the river. Food- if you stay there please try to dine outside, dinner was too over priced and not at all worth it, food took 45 - 1 hr to be served and it was disappointing. They need good chef! Staff - most of them were helpful but couple of seniors were obviously passing comments and mocking. Not a good experience.

A la carte menu was expensive and portion sizes were very small for that price. Buffet was not ready by the breakfast time and constantly missing dishes. Had to wait until they refill as well. Delicious food and many varieties to choose from. Bathrooms design. Deluxe room bathroom is not separated or partitioned from toilet so toilet becomes so wet if you take a shower.

Bathrooms - was huge and spacious, but the shower area no proper drainage therefore the whole bathroom got wet after the shower is used. Can be a risk as slippery due to soap and shampoo. Dinner and breakfast buffets - very limited food, not many options. Room furniture - no chairs inside the room or any towel racks or hangers Except for 1 staff member, the rest of the staff seemed new and not much knowledge of general info of the hotel. We spoke in Sinhalese, and still we felt there were a language barrier. The staff require training. There were power cuts in one building, which made it hard as we had 1 family travelling with a 2-month-old baby.

Meenu (6/5): Good value for money in a beautiful location - Such an amazing location by a reservoir with beautiful views. The hotel is well built with quality facilities but not maintained. The staff were very friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. With proper management this hotel can become a top quality hotel. It’s sad to see such well built facilities going to waste due to poor maintenance and unprofessional management. Good value for money though. The rooms could have been cleaned better. The hot water was not always available. Our bathroom door couldn’t be closed. The buffet could have more variety. We stayed three nights and after two nights we went out for dinner for some variety. The food was ok, not great.

The room doesn't have a great isolation, I could hear the neighbors snoring. One day without hot water due to a power outage. We had to ask 4 times before the manager finally told us that there won't be hot water before the next morning. However, when I asked for a discount at the checkout, they offered us 2 dinners to compensate. I appreciated the gesture.

Some essential items like towals, spoons were not available on time when we checked in but upon request they provided. Some staff were little nervous with their work. But overall the service was satisfied.

Pool and other facilities are a bit okay but there’s a lot of room for improvement. There’s a lot of insects and bugs in front of the room. We faced a 3hr power outage because the hotel wanted to do maintenance which is a huge drawback. We are forced to checkout early due to the power outage.

Dasith (8/5): A Stay at Elysia - The location, the environment and the comfortable rooms with a private jacuzzi which was a big plus. We enjoyed the boat ride (charged Rs.1000 per ride). Lastly, there was a good amount of variety for the dinner and breakfast buffet, and the taste was also on par. The staff did not inform us that they had changed their checkout time to 11 am until the last moment. They stated that they have informed booking.com to change it, and also stated that it has not yet changed.

Mithun (5/5): Mixed feelings. - The rooms were definitely spacious. The swimming pool was clean. The staffs were always ready to help. Affordable price point in comparison to other hotels in this region. The rooms and balcony were not clean, cob webs and dust pretty much in every corner. There was no dental kit (toothbrush + toothpaste), which had to the delivered upon making a request to the service desk. We can only comment on the breakfast buffet as this is the only meal we had here; it was average. To have the closing time of breakfast buffet at 9:30 am is way too soon, given that most people visit the Pidurangala Rock or Sigirya for sunrise. Aside from that, the glasses and serviette arranged at the dining area were not clean. Noticed this on both days of our stay. None of the TV channels were working from the cable TV.

When we were about to check out, our car had run out of battery and the staff was quick to assist us in sorting out the issue We were a group of 24 people who booked 7 rooms. Upon arrival, we were informed that all the rooms were ready. However, we quickly noticed several issues. Five out of the seven rooms were missing towels, and three rooms did not have cups. One room even had trash left in the cupboard from previous guests. While the staff eventually brought cups, they failed to provide spoons. The housekeeping logistics were disorganized, and it was evident that the hotel is poorly managed.
