• Elitza (10/5): Lovely property, great host, must come back :) - The fantastic location of the property could only be appreciated once we got there. We didn't know the area so choosing one little town over another is difficult but Cadenabbia is a great choice to get to know the "golden triangle". The villa is close to the ferry and yet distant enough to feel like you are the only one there. Our flat was on the first floor with access to the garden and a terrace with a table and chairs outside the kitchen (brand new kitchen, well equipped) It was so peaceful. We had a chance to see the blue moon too : ) Take time to read the guide Maria sends you before check in, it's full of useful information. if you need help while there it is also very quickly provided (a contact number). If you are staying longer consider shopping before you get there somewhere further away from Como as the prices at the supermarkets are somewhat higher. If you have mobility issues the steps to the ferry might be a bit steep on the way up, but are very gradual and doable (see picture). The steepness is part of the beauty around the lake, so pack comfortable shoes :) The ferry service was great from that particular station. The bus service was hit and miss (40 minutes late on one occasion) We booked a boat, Maria suggested Nautic Planet and they were really good but book early if you only stay for a couple of days, that applies to the restaurants too. We will be definitely returning if we get a chance. I found this video about Como very informative https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kSQmOyIzHc Just a couple of observations to hopefully help: consider getting a mosquito repellant in addition to the small device at the flat. If coming by car, the parking space is a great bonus but be careful, the corner to the property can be a bit tight.
• Emma (9/5): Lovely garden view apartment, in a fabulous location close to Lake Como - Beautiful location, everything we needed for a short stay. We chose the garden apartment, so we had the terrace outside which was lovely with the gorgeous weather we had. Lovely local restaurants and the ferry across to Bellagio was only a short walk, albeit down a very steep flight of steps! We lost power after a storm and unfortunately was only able to make contact with the host through Booking.com. It was ok for us, but another family who arrived didn’t have the Booking.com app so were struggling to make contact. It would be useful if the host was available by phone in an emergency.
