• Guest (9/5): Fantastic - The property was well managed and we had a great time when we stayed there for the Naadagama concert. The views outside the hotel facing the Pedro estate were breathtaking. Sahan who assisted us was a good soul and a wonderful person. He made sure all our needs were well taken care of and was always in a smiling pleasant face. The breakfast was simple and was fantastic. Really loved it. Everything was well except for this minor thing with the hot water shower which was not consistent every time we used it. But compared to the 99% excellent service this was just a small thing which did not harm our stay.

Breakfast was good, garden pretty and well maintained Our bedroom was at the front, and the weather was particularly wet and windy, which blew straight into our room, opening the patio door and through the windows that don't seal properly. There were only blinds to cover the window and the glass was very dirty with green algae. The hotel exterior needs attention. The price was heavily discounted but still possibly overpriced for the standard. We raised all these issues, so hopefully, it will be better for someone else.

• Rhianne (1/5): Damp and mouldy room - We had high expectations for this guest house but the room was not as shown in the images online. Upon arrival we were shown outside the building and down some steps into a basement apartment, straight away we could smell the mould/damp in the room. With further inspection, the bedding was extremely damp and stained, soaking through to the mattress. We spoke to the hotel staff and asked for a different room inside the building, to which they could not accommodate and advised damp bedding was to be expected in Nuwara Eliya due to the climate. We ended up leaving and stayed in a hotel down the road where the room was to a much higher standard (sheets were dry!!)

The guy said no room was availble, however when i checked through booking.com I saw room availbility and reserved the booking after which he allowed. Even the next day the room we checked in was still available. There were hesitations from his side and had we listened to him and left we wouldve missed the opportunity of stay. The washroom door was stiff and ddnt close properly. There was no heating facility in the room which kept us very cold and made the night a little uncomfortable to sleep in.

For us, this was more like a bonus! Very friendly staff, offered an earlier check-in for free, and added an extra breakfast. Also for free! The house and the garden are quite pretty and well taken care of. You can tell there was some time from the last renovation, but it add more charm than anything,

• Warren (8/5): Nurawa Eliya Cottage Home on a Hill - Breakfast is big, staff really kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond moving my luggage out in order to make my train. Room is comfy, showers are hot - no complaints here whatsoever. Grounds are impeccable, yard is beautiful. Menu isn't particularly large and items I had were average. The guest house is far from the town and few tuk tuks come by.

• Charuka (4/5): Not met our expectations - Nothing specific, We have booked 3 double rooms, Hot water was not working in one room, they said heater unit was broken. Bath room was smelly in our room. Foods were not that great unfortunately.
• Debasis (8/5): Very Good. - The bunglow is awesome looking and is very near to Gregory lake. We booked 6 rooms. Not all the rooms were similar. Some of the rooms were nice while others fell somewhat short in size specially in size of the bathroom. The staffs, Sahan and his colleague were extremely welcoming and took very good care of us. Lawn in front was awesome. Breakfast was superb. Absolutely value for money. Recommendable. Only thing they need to take care is the plumbing of the bathrooms. And a bedside small table would have been very convenient.

The location is near Gregory Lake, so it cut down on travelling time. We liked having our English breakfast in the dining room, which made it feel like a home. The chef prepared it fresh and served it warm. Thank you. The room we stayed in apparently hadn't been used for some time, so the water coming from the tap was yellow. However, the staff acted promptly and was apologetic, so we continued staying for the second night.

• Haseeb (10/5): Perfect Staff - We arrived in Nuwara Eliya at 11 PM, only to find the town completely asleep. To make matters worse, the hotel we had booked had canceled our reservation, leaving us extremely worried. After a quick search on Google, we found this hotel. We took a tuk-tuk to reach it, but the gate was closed as it was midnight. We called the number written on the board, and a kind person named Toshant came out to assist us. He was incredibly accommodating and arranged a room for us right away. The service was excellent, and Toshant was very cooperative, doing his best to ensure we were comfortable. The hotel is in a nice location, just outside of town. It’s only a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride to the lake or a 10-minute walk. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Thushar, the host was very warm and welcoming. We checked in quite late almost midnight and yet stayed until we arrived and made sure everything went well. Breakfast at this property is on the list of top favourite foods I ate in this holiday. Overall, had a great time and felt home.
• Niranjan (8/5): Very good - It's basically a Villa. It looked new.and was very clean and well maintained. It's right opposite a beautiful valley of Tea gardens.. However as you need to go down to the villa you cannot see the view. Only when you go to the road is the valley visible. Good breakfast. The host makes you comfortable and is always ready to meet your requests. The place is a bit off the main centre ( maybe 10 minutes walk from the lake). But it would be a bit difficult to reach from the market after 9 pm.

Would highly recommend - Handsome looking property, location was good, easy walk to the, lake, nice room with balcony and lovely views of the countryside, very comfortable bed, hot shower. The manager, Thushara, went out of his way to help us by arranging onward transport for us in a short period of time at a reasonable cost. The breakfast was delicious, the best Western breakfast during our stay in sri lanka! We would highly recommend to anyone visiting Nuwara eliya. There wasn't anything we could fault

• Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cottage with very friendly and helped us to get a driver with whom we did a tour in Nuwara Eliya. We had a really nice stay and we could choose between English and Sri Lankan breakfast.

• Ujjwal (10/5): It was an exceptional experience. - This property is located on top of a hill in the middle of the tea plantation. Gregory Lake is a 5-minute drive. This property also has a garden with a beautiful seating arrangement. If you are traveling with kids they would love to utilize the open garden for play. Rooms are situated on both ground and first floor and are decently sized. Both floors have spacious family and dining areas with comfortable sofas. This makes it ideal for long-term stays with all the necessary comforts. I have to specifically mention about Tussahra . He is the manager who looks after the property and ensures all guests are well taken care of. I am providing 10 stars because of the amazing hospitality and care we had received during our stay.
