- David (10/5): Beautifully renovated cottage in the wilds of Orkney. - Wonderful cottage in rural Orkney.
Modern renovation - very warm and comfortable.

- Robert (9/5): Beautiful property and location. - We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful holiday cottage. It’s been renovated to an exceptionally high standard, with real attention to detail throughout—everything felt fresh, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. The quality of the furnishings and finishes really stood out, making it both comfortable and a pleasure to spend time in.
The views were simply stunning, adding to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, tranquil getaway. Remember to set hot water to boost before having a shower or the water is not particularly warm.
- Sue (8/5): Enjoyed. It....fairly expensive - Location hreat Poor TV reception..,not hosts fault.

- Marie (10/5): Lovely cottage. Good base for exploring. - Great location. Sea view.
- Jeremysward (10/5): Well equipped comfortable cottage in a stunning, peaceful location. - Comfortable and well equipped cottage in a stunning location. The views over the foreshore and outer Orkney islands are exceptional.
The cottage was relatively recently renovated to a high standard. Nothing!
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (10/5): Absolutely wonderful! We will be back. - Location absolutely superb, views fabulous. We saw hen harriers and short eared owls hunting over the field next to the cottage which was wonderful.
The cottage had been recently converted to a very high and very tasteful standard. In particular the facilities in the kitchen and the choice of lighting in the cottage as a whole was superb. Also plenty of well positioned plug sockets which is quite unusual in some other cottages we have stayed at. Our only "could do better" would be more drawer space in the bedroom, hooks on the backs of the doors and perhaps a heated towel rail in the bathroom; we suspect these are just "teething problems" and it did not affect our enjoyment of such a lovely property.
Some of the saucepans wouldn't work on the induction hob but there were plenty that did; we talked to the owner and he arranged to have the ones that didn't work removed.
- Martin (9/5): Superb - The location was outstanding. The hosts were non intrusive but supportive. A kitchen needs small sharp knives for food preparation.
Some half drunk cold drinks cans under bed in spare room.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was in a lovely peaceful location with great views, it had all of the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. It provided a great central base for exploring Orkney.
- Gillian (10/5): Great place to stay on Orkney. Highly recommended. -
- Patty (10/5): A peaceful, beautiful place to escape. - Sympathetic and contemporary restoration of an old property that overlooks the sea. It was warm and cosy inside and well equipped with quality appliances. A peaceful place to relax and a great base to explore the island. Cannot fault!
- Andrew (9/5): Quiet location with views across the sea and countryside. - Lovely, well organised cottage, in a quiet location with views across the sea and countryside. Comfy bed with a warmer duvet available if required. Well equipped kitchen. Good sized shower. We very much enjoyed our stay.
- Jeremysward (10/5): Excellent cottage in an outstanding location. - The setting is stunning with ever changing views of the sea looking out towards Gairsay. The area was peaceful, quiet and relaxing.
The cottage was immaculately presented and well equipped. Excellent recycling facilities.
We have already booked a return visit for next year.
- Donna (7/5): Good - Fully fitted cottage in a lovely location. That there were no lights left on, on the outside of the cottage (even though there were lights), so we couldn't find it at night, and no one answered the phone when I called.
Also the bed smelled a little musty.
- Timothy (10/5): A perfect home base for a magical holiday - A lovely cottage in a magical setting, a joy to wake up each morning to the changing light. Views out over the fields to the sea. Owners nearby, responded rapidly to email enquiries, just a shame we never got to meet them! Great base for exploring the island and beyond. A wonderful place to come home to. Frankly nothing worth mentioning here. We were delighted with our stay.
- David (10/5): An excellent place to explore this astonishing island - Just a beautiful cottage in a remarkable location. Birds and scenery were wonderful. Bed very comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped. "Didn't like" doesn't apply but if you want some constructive feedback, we'd have liked a modest teapot, and son would have liked a desk space in the small bedroom. For myself, I can see how latter not really easy to provide, but since you ask...
- Jeannette (8/5): We did not get the right house we booked, clean house, you can not walk near the house, only on big roads. - We booked the Mill Cottage, we like houses not connecting to another house. But they gave us another connecting house to their house. We got another house, connecting to their house.
Difficult to get a good temperature
Keylokker is to old.
You can only walk near the house on a big Road
- Alison (9/5): Superb - Everything was marvellous. A beautifully appointed cottage in an outstanding situation. Our only problem was that the hot water was scaldinly hot. Our concern was promptly dealt with but not entirely sorted by the time we left.
- Andy (10/5): Brilliant location for a relaxing stay - Was on a work related visit, this was great to come back to and relax after a days work with the peace and quite and great views, will definitely come back and stay, planning to come back for a holiday. Nothing it was great
- Jim (9/5): Superb - House was in a great location
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, modern with lots of natural light. Tower room on the end is brilliant. Only got to stay 3 nights.
