• Ester (3/5): not satisfied - location I’m not sure the bed linens had been washed at all. They were suspiciously wrinkled, and there were hairs both in the bed and in the bathroom. Early in the morning, I was woken up by very loud noise from the floor above, where people were running around so heavily it felt like the ceiling might collapse. Overall, the place felt rather dirty, and all the furnishings were quite outdated. If I had stayed here for €60 a night, I would have been satisfied, but since I paid €205 for the night, it absolutely did not meet my expectations. You can stay there, but be aware that the place is old, somewhat dirty and uncomfortable, damp, and noisy.

Liet mij buiten staan en wekte de indruk dat ik het zelf had moeten weten. Toen ik mij voorstelde en een hand wilde geven, weigerde hij die, om religieuze redenen zo te zien. (Nee, geen moslim!) Zeer confronterend. Kamer in souterrain, geen licht, somber, ongezellig, vochtig, muffe lucht, klink van badkamerdeur viel eruit toen ik hem vastpakte, douche in bad, zonder anti-slipmat of beugel om je vast te houden tijdens in- en uitstappen. Gemeenschappelijk keuken stokoud, vol afgeleefde spullen, onbruikbare thee (chemische smaakjes). Geen vintage, maar oude troep. Liefdeloos. Prijs/kwaliteitverhouding totaal uit balans.

• Maria (6/5): Great location and staff, but comfort could be improved. - The location of the property was great, surrounded by shops, bars, restaurants, and beautiful parks. The place was clean, and the staff were very approachable. On the first day, the towels we received had a few stains, but once we informed the staff, they replaced them immediately. What we didn’t like were the beds and bedding. The mattresses were extremely soft—you would sink in as soon as you sat down. While the bedding itself was clean, the blanket and pillows underneath had visible yellow stains. Additionally, the accommodation had a damp, basement-like smell, which we believe was due to it being underground and affected by humidity.

• Sveva (6/5): - La posizione è l'unico punto di forza: a 3 minuti a piedi c'è la fermata del bus da un lato (Ambiorix) e dall'altro lato alla stessa distanza c'è la fermata della metro (Schuman). La camera che è stata assegnata a noi si trovava in uno scantinato, non c'erano finestre né in bagno né nelle due camere. Le due camere non erano separate bensì comunicanti.

• Lara (9/5): An excellent apartment for the location and price - dale! - The location is truly excellent, in a beautiful and charming neighborhood. The apartment is cozy and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Just as a friendly note and with the best intentions: the coffee machine and kettle were not clean and didn’t seem to be regularly maintained. A bit more attention to this would make the experience even better.

• Monica (6/5): Pleasant - The location is fantastic: short walk from restaurants, bars, metro & train station, busses (the one to the airport is next door), very practical and easy to get around. The hosts are very kind and thoughtful, they sent detailed information on how and where to find the keys and were always available for any information and help. We had a comfortable stay: despite being in the basement and at street level, we had no noises problems,it was always calm and we slept well. We really appreciated the coffee machine available in the shared kitchen for the morning coffee! Being in the basement the rooms are maybe a bit too dark for our habits. The appearance of the rooms at first glance is good, but in detail they would need a modernization: broken bed frame, torn sheets, shower taps to fix... Also the cleanliness could be improved.

• Paola (2/5): Very poor - Only the location The house is in very bad conditions and the rooms were dirty and neglected. One of the two rooms was claustrophobic and in the basement…it should not be even legal to rent out a room in a basement!!! We also found a dirty towel in one of the toilets.
• Jan (1/5): Nobody opened the door - had to sleep outside - The location of the hotel is good. I waited a few weeks before writing this review and it's the first time I've written a bad review. To summarize: We didn't get in and had to sleep in the car - this has never happened to me before. We booked quite spontaneously at lunchtime on the same day but this was confirmed. We arrived around 6pm but nobody opened the door. We sent emails, WhatsApp messages, tried to call - no response, although we tried again that evening and rang again at a different time. We had no choice but to spend the night in our car in the middle of Brussels. Incidentally, we only received a reply after 2-3 days; how you can run a business like that is a mystery to me.

• Heba (5/5): Ok. - The location. The host was responsive and kind. The room is in the basement. I did not feel comfortable getting in and out of the building. I saw no one during my stay (there’s no staff/reception). Overall, I had a feeling of disease. There’s no kettle in the room and you need to use shared kitchen in the first floor.

Also, the basement room disposition is quite unorthodox, and it was a pleasant surprise for me. The Wi-Fi signal is quite weak and unstable in the basement room. But that was not a big problem for me.

The city centre is around 30min walking, but there are buses and underground you can take. The staff was super friendly and nice and eager to help with any of our enquires!! The basement room was not that comfortable, and I believe considering the price and the distance from the centre was a bit expensive. In addition we requested to stay a few hours after the check out time..they were very accepting of doing that, but with a price which was a bit expensive too. A bit expensive for a basement room but overall satisfied especially with the service of the guy in the entrance, he was very friendly!

• Rachel (8/5): Great location, comfy mattress, would stay again! - The location was great! Easy to get in to the apartment. Bed was super comfortable. Towels are big. Water pressure in shower is good. Lots of bars and restaurants in the neighborhood too, if you don’t want to be in the touristy area near the Grand Market. We had some issues with Silberfischchen in the bathroom, but this can be expected in a basement apartment. It wasn’t possible to fully open the back windows to get fresh air in (only a few centimeters), but not sure this could be changed just due to furniture placement. The mattresses were super comfy but the bed frames were a bit loud, could really hear all movements of my friend sleeping in the next room. All relatively minor things though! We also didn’t realize that the kitchen/coffee space was shared and upstairs a bit out of the apartment itself. I usually like to make a coffee in my pjs in the morning and I didn’t feel comfortable doing that here, since you had to walk through the main parts of the building. I might have missed this in the description though?

• Wouter (9/5): Superb - Very spacious room with an interesting layout and all you need to work and sleep. Plus there's a common kitchen. The location is ideal for me. Super friendly and helpful owners. Although privately managed you can arrive at any time as there's a key safe for late arrivals. They send a lot of detailed and helpful instructions. I knew it in advance so I'm not going to complain about it: the buildings have an interesting structure so there are stairs everywhere. Not 100% ideal for walking with a crutch. But the likes by far outweighs this.

• Etleva (10/5): We felt like home - The apartment was easy to find and is located in a very good and safe area. We arrived around 20:00 o’clock and the apartment was so warm that made feel us like home, except the fragrance that was used in cleaning. Nearby there are a lot of shops, pharmacy, caffe and market. We found a market just 5 min walking, which was open until 22:00 at night. It will be great to have some basics groceries like salt, oil and sugar, which we left them at the house after our leaving. Except these all other things were perfect. The view from windows was amazing. Maybe the small kitchen, but no It was just perfect as it was.

The beds were extremely comfortable and we all slept well. The apartment is only 200 metres from the Schuman metro station which gives access to the entire city. Nothing :)

And if there's a question, you get a very fast and good reply on it. The room is very spacious, with little extras like water and apples. The bathroom is big, the shower really nice. It's hotel standard. For me the room was a little warm, even with the window at the back half open, but that's personal.
