Guest Reviews
- Phebian (8/5): Would have been a great stay if the tv had worked properly - The property in itself was great and was really up to expectations. The dog enjoyed her stay. The tv didnt work properly and we could not get the normal channels
There was no information as to how to switch in the heaters (Yes, it was very cold the first day we were here)
- Helen (9/5): Would love to have stayed longer. Beautiful location and everything to make a gathering complete. - Comfortable, quiet and convenient Nil
- Jenty (10/5): We had lovely stay for 2 nights for father’s day. During our stay happened to big storm the house keep us warm, cozy and - Very warm, cozy and spacious Nothing
- Adrian (10/5): -
- Vasilka (8/5): Lovely stay some little things missing - Location and beds There was no microwave , no firewood and no wifi
- Adam (4/5): Lacks basic facilities required for a comfortable stay - The beds are quite comfortable and the property has a nice quirky charm to it. The property lacks the basic facilities expected when paying significant prices.
Microwave - The kitchen lack a microwave, unsure why. Essential for making a quick breakfast or heating up kids food/bottles
Internet - The internet did not work when we stayed at the property, their solution was to drop off a dongle I then had to setup. Once setup the internet was 4G and painfully slow.
Free to air TV - There is no free to air TV at the property so you cannot watch the footy/news etc. There is an old Telstra box which has some dodgy internet TV channels which requires the painfully slow internet to work (see above).
All of these issues are easily addressed but for having read the reviews they seem like they have been around for a long time.
I would avoid this property unless you enjoy the Amish lifestyle!
- San (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tabley (7/5): Good - The family enjoyed our couple of nights. First impression was underwhelming. The house when we drove up was covered in dust and cobwebs and also the verandah. Inside was pleasant but some parts could do with an update such as worn paint. An information booklet would be helpful and had trouble getting normal channels on the smart tv. All places we have stayed also have the coffee, tea, sugar sachets and little milks in the fridge which are great if you turn up late and want a cuppa. Maybe consider that as an extra touch. I would also recommend putting towel rails in the bathrooms. After showering there is nowhere to put them. The bed was very comfortable though.
- Kerry (8/5): A comfortable warm inviting home - A lovely warm, inviting home that just needs a few extra things tweaked to make it a standout. The property doesn’t have a microwave, there was no tea or coffee, and the TV doesn’t have any free to air channels. These are things that can easily be fixed and would significantly improve the property. The wood heater also wasn’t working, but we knew about that before our arrival. Hopefully it gets fixed soon as we would love to stay again.
- Gary (7/5): On the whole a pleasant and enjoyable weekend - Garden could have been tidied up.
House was comfortable but required some minor maintenance. Could not close the bathroom door for privacy. Several other doors and cupboards required maintenance as we experienced trouble either closing or opening.
Couldn’t close the front gate and it tore away from the post it was mounted to. (Very heavy gate) could have been a disaster with small children playing near it. The house was comfortable, plenty of crockery and utensils. Comfortable bedding. No Microwave!
- Laura (6/5): A Stay with Room for Improvement - While the atmosphere was lovely, the beds were comfortable, and the area was nice and quiet, we did experience several issues during our stay. Firstly, we had to buy our own toilet paper, which was quite inconvenient. The ensuite fan and the clock in the kitchen were both broken, and the light in the backyard was not working, which made evenings outside difficult. There was no microwave, and we found ourselves without pot holders and scourers in the kitchen. Additionally, there were not enough tea towels or rubbish bags provided.
Only one light on the front verandah was working, and the TV in the main bedroom did not function at all. We also noticed that there were no complimentary extras like tea, coffee, or sugar, which are usually expected in holiday accommodations. Furthermore, we couldn't open both doors to the backyard, which was a bit frustrating.
Despite these issues, the place had a charming atmosphere, the beds were quite comfortable, and the location was peaceful. If these problems were addressed, it would significantly improve the overall experience.
- Chai (9/5): A great place that makes one feels at home. - Warmly decorated house. The kitchen is very well equipped with seasonings, makes it really easy if one wants to cook or bake, There is also a very good binoculars that could be used to watch the birds that fly near. Seeds are available to feed them. Very thoughtful of the host. The taps at the bathroom are a little difficult to turn off do as not to waste water.
It would be good if there’s a dryer for clothes, clothes may have difficulty drying and it may rain if guests are out.
- Edwina (8/5): Very good -
- Nikki (9/5): Lovely place - quiet and cosy. - Nice decor. Spacious. Clean. Would have been good to have had some coffee/ milk provided (there were tags).
Also couldn't get the TV working - wouldn't connect to the internet.
- Andrew (10/5): Highly enjoyable. Totally recommend. - Clean and spacious Only downside was the intermittent broadband service.
- Catherine (9/5): Superb - Wonderful location, beautiful home with lovely garden. The only small negative was that there was no toaster in the kitchen
- Juengeun (9/5): Superb - very cozy place! especially our dog loved there.
- Rebecca (8/5): More heat would be great! - Lovely well decorated place! Linen was lovely, mattresses divine, gorgeous place. Needs either oil fin heaters or electric blankets or radiators that work. The end bedroom very chilly as both the fire and heat pump in the same room other end of house.
