- Sarah (9/5): - Das Hangshe Hostel ist etwas ganz besonderes, in ganz besonderer Lage. Man geht raus und ist sofort verzaubert von dem Kanal, der Musik, den Laternen. Der Charme des Hostels ist einmalig. Die Bilder lügen nicht. Das Bett ist bequem. Mein Zimmer war für eine Person perfekt, zu zweit hat man definitiv keine Möglichkeit beide Koffer hinzustellen. Für mich allein wars super :-). Vielleicht 2 Dinge, die wichtig wären zu wissen: Zimmer und Bad sind nicht durch eine Tür getrennt. Nur ein Vorhang. Und es ist sehr hellhörig. Oropax liegen aber bereit. Mich hat das nicht gestört. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

- Katja (8/5): Außergewöhnlich stilvolles Hotel in toller Lage. - Tolle Lage mitten im restaurierten Altstadt Viertel. Allerdings dadurch nur zu Fuß bzw mit kurzem Fußweg bis zum Taxi erreichbar. Abends aber besonders schöne Umgebung. Viele Restaurants und nahezu nebenan im Buchladen- Café auch guter Cappuccino. Auf Nachfrage mit Google Übersetzer auch Chin. Frühstück möglich. Tolle historische Ausstattung, Superior- Zimmer mit ausreichend Platz (Standard Zimmer für zwei eher klein), Zimmer mit Wasserkocher, Bademänteln, brauchbaren Schlappen und Toilettenartikeln. Tägliche Reinigung. Körbchen mit Obst, Tee, Knabbereien zur Begrüßung. Tee- Probe im Hotel möglich und auch Verkauf. Verständigung außer Chinesisch nur mit Hilfe von Google Übersetzer möglich.

- Finko (10/5): This is the right place if you are looking for solitude and quiet luxury. - Excellent historic courtyard house, well renovated and maintained without losing the typical features of Chinese housing. Super nice staffs. My Chinese is poor. Therefore, communication was more through eye contact than verbal communication.

Special accommodation, restaurant s around very convenient, Staff is friendly and helpful, It was hot , air-conditioning was not working, staff did offer change room but it was not two beds available, they have arranged for fix next morning, but we checked out.

- Johannes (10/5): Stunning! - Once every so often you travel to a place that completely surprises you. Fuzhuo was this place and the Hangshe Hostel was the perfect place to explore it! Absolutely gorgeous and fantastic hospitality. We loved the local breakfast and surroundings. The staff is fantastically kind. Wifi was not working but I am sure this will be resolved.

- Ying-kit (10/5): Pleasant in Shangxiahang - The hotel (not hostel) is within the 上下杭 tourist area, managed by Pullman Hotels. Needless to say, it offers a comfortable stay. The room is a bit small, but there is only so much one can modify with an ancient building.
- Choon (10/5): Wonderful, you will love it, trust me... - The building itself aged more than 190 years, but the whole sturcture are nice and lovely... The staff are really frendly and helpful, my mum they special take care her and arrange a ground floor room, and many unexpected services provided like free laundry, tea, lite refreshment, light breakfast, free culture costume, free photo, crazily many many and it's 24h standby for you... no question, my next trip again will remain same this hote... honestly, no joke, everything is perfect...

- Irene (9/5): Perfect hostel for a trip to Fuzhou, balancing the traditional and modern experiences! - Fantastic hostel in a traditional building, with modern facilities/amenities! I really loved the decor of the pavilion and rooms - it was very cozy and a delight to stay in. The location is also great - there are plenty of restaurants and shops within 10-minute walking distance. The staff were also super friendly and will chat with you over tea!
- Pierre (10/5): A nice stay in a nice looking old style hotel with all commodities - The hotel is located within a historic/cultural neighbourhood, and it has kept some features of a old-style mansion. It was very beautiful, and the staff was great. The breakfast is huge ! Even if the room was a bit small (it was expected thought, because of the nature of the hotel and the room we chose), there is everything needed. The location is great for tourism, and it's not very far from the subway. The access to the laundry machine is greatly appreciated. The only thing that annoyed me was evening staff smoking in the area near reception.

Value for money, something different from the usual hotels. Great experience. Toilet drainage not very good, creaking floors. But overall still good.
- Hui (9/5): Luxe stay in Shangxiahang - Located near entrance of shangxiahang. Walking distance to how.like centre for plenty of clothes shopping, walking distance also to yantaishan. Location is amazing. Hangshe is v pretty and the staff are super. Breakfast is v local n v good. All good with hotel. I would love to go back one day

- Phoebe (8/5): Perfect start to China adventure, couldn’t have asked for more. - Beautifully presented. Peaceful and very well located. The room was on the smaller side. Perfect for one but might be a bit tight for two people.
- Lukas (10/5): Fantastic stay in atmospheric part of Fuzhou - Fantastic location in mid of the historic and atmospheric district of Shangxiahang. Convenient reachable with the red metro line, around 10 min to walk from Dadao (达道). The room of the old but fantastic renovated building was clean, tidy and even had a good smelling wooden scent. The staff is really friendly, helpful and also provided some welcome gifts with fruits and tea. Overall probably one of the best places when staying in Fuzhou! No complaints

- Megawati (10/5): An Olden Day Vibe with a Modern Twist - The hostel has great location, right in the middle of an old town (touristy area). The design of the hostel and each room is unique and nice. You feel like entering into the olden day. Room is nicely decorated too with fluffy bedding etc. It comes with garden and tea drinking place that make you feel zen. The staff is exceptionally helpful with our luggages, queries etc. You will be provided welcome snacks and tea too. Pretty much like every bit of it. Worth the value you paid for. (Lots of eatery around the hostel too, check them out). So far NIL.

- Alice (10/5): Unique and unforgettable - Amazing traditional landscaping style. Very unique and cozy room. You can enjoy the Chinese garden as well as modernized hot spa at the same time.
