• Miri (10/5): A welcoming country stay! - The guesthouse is a little bit out of Tenterfield centre but that is part of its charm - it is located amongst fields and so feels more rural and all the more beautiful for it. Everything is designed with your comfort in mind, and Kathryn, the host, is enthusiastic and happy to help. The bedrooms are cosy and welcoming and each room has a door to the verandah. Breakfasts are delicious. We loved our stay. Nothing.

• Shane (10/5): - Has the whole place to ourselves. There are four rooms which can be booked individually. I’d say if we didn’t have the place to ourselves our experience would have been vastly different as all couples would be in the one house with a common area living room. Bit awks if your with 4 other random couples, FANTASTIC if you’re all together or you have the place to yourself as we did. Loved the quiet location, loved the serenity of the paddocks etc. The house is immaculate, it’s just so well built and designed. Really enjoyed our stay. I get why but I didn’t really like being tracked by the cameras outside. You can hear them tracking you as you walk past them.

• David (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay. Katheryn was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. - Lovely property with plenty of common space including a pool room and a library. Spacious bedroom and bathroom and very clean. Nice outlook and very quiet. Our host Katheryn was most welcoming and helpful. Location was a little way out of town, but that's also one of the positives.

• Michael (10/5): Best Bed & Breakfast - This was one of the best Bed and Breakfasts we have stayed at. Beautifully decorated, wonderful facilities, lovely gardens and a delicious breakfast. Kathryn was a fantastic host who couldn't do enough for us. We'd love to stay here again one day for longer.

I couldn’t make a couple of shots I had hoped to win!
• Moore (10/5): Beautiful Guesthouse - Our lovely host Kathryn greeted us on arrival, with coffee, home baked shortbread & fire lit as it was very cold outside. The 2 rooms we booked both had a luxury bath which was lovely after a long drive. Kathryn recommended Stonefruit Restaurant in town for dinner and the tapas were delicious. A hearty breakfast was cooked for the 4 of us by Kathryn. I highly recommend a stay at Carpe Diem. We all felt very special indeed and wish we could have stayed longer.

• John (7/5): Offers a peaceful and friendly retreat with lovely views from rooms - Host met us on arrival with coffee/tea and shortbread - nice touch. Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included in price and four good options available. So choice and quality was good. Property was purpose designed for guests and well laid out with good space, easy parking. Pool table room nice touch. Use of kitchen, fridge, tea, coffee at all times was good. Bedroom was nice, good furniture, heating good, and electric blankets a welcome extra. Great information on local area and facilities available in room and at reception area. Very quiet location. Only option for showering was to stand in free standing bath without handles, not too easy to step over high side in and out of bath. Removing bath and putting shower screen in is a change I would suggest here? Bed mattress springs a little creaky and one side of bed felt like you were sliding out.

• Greg (10/5): a really lovely place and we will most likely go back with friends for another visit - The whole place is lovely and very well presented. Kathryn and John were welcoming and attentive but gave us our privacy. The bathroom in our room, had a very deep, lovely old style lions claw tub. It was quite beautiful and there is a shower over the bath too. Both my wife and I found showering over the tub a little bit daunting. It felt like we were up pretty high and we both felt a bit nervous about it. We will probably go back at some stage but would look for a room without the shower over the bath.

The hot baked scones with coffee on arrival and the glass of port at night were pleasant treats. The rooms were very comfortable and we enjoyed the ambience. It was such a pleasure to look out over the rural area as the fog lifted in the morning while eating our made to order breakfast. I cannot think of anything we did not like. We have been telling all our friends about it.
