Els (9/5): Perfecte ligging en goed uitgerust appartement - Zeer goed gelegen, direct aan het strand, het centrum, en de promenade, maar toch rustig in het complex zelf. In het appartement was alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Goede communicatie met Anna. Klein detail maar wat gezellige verlichting zou fijn zijn.

Jozef (10/5): Really pleasant stay in Tenerife Royal Gardens - definitely would recommend to stay there - Well equiped apartment in a really nice apartment complex with bottle of prosecco in fridge as an invitation. Even though, there wasnt cleaning service during our stay, bathroom had everything ready for us (shower gel, shampoo, sun cream, aftersun lotion) Bed in bedroom and sofa in living room were really spacious and comfortable Really nice view on hotel swimming pool and also on the ocean Easy handing of the keys + option to park in the apartment garage Location is amazing, couple of steps from beaches with so many restaurants and shops around No room service during our stay, but as for apartment i wasnt expecting that, so no complaint
kasodscio (10/5): Rilassante - Appartamento con balcone come da descrizione e foto, in bagno c’è il bidet, ubicato al primo piano, ci sono ascensori in vari punti. Fa parte di un complesso residenziale tranquillo con piscine ad uso esclusivo del residence. Luca e Anna ci hanno accolti all’orario stabilito spiegandoci come muoverci nel complesso poiché ci sono tre ingressi sorvegliati in posizioni comode, i messaggi scambiati sono stati in Italiano in quanto entrambi lo parlano benissimo. A richiesta è disponibile un garage per un posto auto da pagare a parte. In casa c’è tutto quello che serve, per una rilassante vacanza. due Tv con qualche programma Italiano i prodotti necessari per il bagno compreso la protezione solare e doposole, ci sono gli asciugamani per la spiaggia oltre a quelli del bagno, un ombrellino per il mare e per la pioggia, un carrellino per la spesa, prodotti per le pulizie e per le stoviglie, ci è stato detto che se avevamo bisogno di altra attrezzatura per la spiaggia potevano fornircela. In frigo una bottiglia di acqua e di vino brut, qualche cialda e tutte le varie attrezzature per cucinare. Noi essendo in vacanza abbiamo preferito lasciarle riposare. Supermercati, ristoranti e lungomare vicinissimi. Sentiamo già nostalgia di Tenerife. Da ritornarci senza esitazioni e lo faremo appena possibile.
Sophie (10/5): A fabulous stay, very clean! Great communication with the organisers/owners. We didn’t have a kettle initially howev - Everything was so easy about this property booked. Contacted via WhatsApp with all the details. If we had any questions we were able to use this method of contact and messages were replied to quickly. Shower was also so powerful and hot! Overall everything was great, if anything I prefer a softer mattress and pillows but that’s my own preference.

The bathroom and bedroom are all the one area. May not be an easy place if a couple isn’t staying. The pool bar wasn’t open regularly but wasn’t much of a problem for us as there was loads of bars and restaurants within walking distance

David (10/5): Great relaxing stay in a very nice complex with a room that offered everything and above all else was spotlessly clean. - Excellent location with great pool and bar facilities. Excellent welcome and handover of the property on arrival-very smooth with great communication. Property is very relaxing and peaceful (December vacation). The apartment itself is spotless. Everything that’s needed is provided including washing machine facilities and iron/ironing board. Good sized bed which was very comfortable and our adult daughter was comfortable on the sofa bed. Good sized bathroom which again was very clean and had a good shower facility. The air conditioning was welcomed as was the complimentary safe. Finally a good sized balcony provided both pool and sea views. Towels for the pool or sun loungers on the balcony were provided. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would definitely return when travelling back to Tenerife. There’s nothing negative to say. Sharing with our daughter was fine given that we used the bed and the sofa bed which were separated by a dividing wall rather than a separate room. All good.

Ais (5/5): Average accommodation, good location - Location was good Very misleading booking.com adverts. We booked 2 apartments, both advertised as one bedroom apartments with a separate bedroom clearly outlined in both descriptions. Which the first was, the 2nd was a studio with a curtain which they said when pulled was a “separate bedroom”. The 2nd thing was the air conditioning. This should be clearer on the information provided, all the information we received stated that the air con was included, no where did it state it was an extra on the booking info. When we asked about this they stated they had 10 different apartments and the main page when booking before selecting the apartment you want says it’s extra. Which it did, however we couldn’t find it until shown as it was not clear and again nothing we received specifically relating to the apartments we booked stated it was extra. We spent on average €16 a day keeping the aircon running. It worked like a slot machine that you topped up, it only accepted €1 coins and local shops understandably were not very forthcoming with exchanging notes for change so it was a pain trying to get enough coins to keep it going. Again if this was clearer this is something that we could have prepared for. Lastly, we were approached by a woman who claimed to own the apartment while we were on sun loungers at the end of the steps to the apartment she was extremely rude, abrupt and scolded us saying we couldn’t drink out of a glass while on the loungers. While we were no where near the pool we could fully understand as if a glass broke it’s in an area where people could potentially be walking barefoot so we immediately brought the glass inside. The issue here was how we were spoken to like bold kids and the uneasy feeling that came with knowing the owner was watching us from their sun loungers. Overall, it was ok If you’re looking for something basic, cheap and cheerful. Wouldn’t stay again.
Martina (7/5): Great location with great hosts - The location of The Royal Gardens Tenerife is excellent. The apartment (C1-15) was well equipped with everything you would need for self catering. The balcony was very nice with deckchairs and table/chairs provided. It's a short walk to a great beach, lots of restaurants and bars all in easy reach. Our host supplied a portable AC unit which was gratefully received and on our last day our checkout was kindly extended to accommodate our evening flight The layout of the apartment was unusual with the bedroom being small and having no main wall or door. There is no reception area or lobby. The pool bar was run by very nice people but it was located outside the pool area in a soul-less large concreted area that you needed a key or code to return to the pool

Ólöf (8/5): Would come again - I liked it. It was pretty nice and not to much people in the swimming pool area. It was good to have an air conditioner even though it cost 1 euro for 1 and a half hour. Plenty of free towels and good to have a washing machine. It was a fine cosy appartment with lots of stuff included. Even a shopping stroller wich was nice. Was in app. C1-12 pretty old furniture but that was fine. Loved the balcony and sea view It was Just me and my 2 year old daughter so it was a fine size for us. The appartment could get upgraded a little.. new sofa and a ceiling fan wich was broken. But i got a good floor fan from the owner instead wich was good. Booking.com has it wrong that there is an infinity pool and later changed that the air conditioner costs money instead of included.
Laura (10/5): Spotless, beautiful but extra charge for air con - The location was perfect right beside the beach and shops and restaurants right on the doorstep. The apartment was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. We were a small bit disappointed when we got there we couldn't find the air conditioner controller and when we queried this we were told we had to pay extra for this. We were under the impression from the description of the property that this was included.
Adalheidur (6/5): Nice apartment in a good location but we had some issues - It's good for everyone to know that this is not a hotel. There is no reception, no cleaning during your stay, no new towels or change of bed sheets. We knew this and we were ok with it. The hosts were nice and accommodating, for example they lent us an extra fan during the stay and let us have a later check-out. It's great to have a washing machine, especially during longer stays. You have the pool right outside your door but still have your own personal area in the 'veranda'. We had some issues regarding the apartment, but it might not bother everyone (see below). Air conditioning. - Yes there is one in the main area, not the bedroom (there is a ceiling fan). - You have to pay extra to use it though, which I don't mind doing, but the way it's done bothered us. - You pay 1 euro for 90 minutes. You can only use 1 euro coins, so you spend your whole trip trying to get 1 euro coins as a change everywhere. - The machine where you put the coin in is in the bedroom. It makes a sound when you pay and it also makes a beeping sound twice when it's about to stop. We had a small child sleeping in the bedroom so it was inconvenient for us. - It can also happen that the coin machine gets full and it is not possible to use the air conditioning until a "technician" can come and empty it. This happened to us, we had no air conditioning during our last evening, night and morning. They told us they would pay us back the coins that we put in but we never got it. - I would rather just want to pay more for the stay or pay a one time fee to use the air conditioning. Bed. - The mattresses in the bed are...bad. Especially on one side. You could literally feel the springs in the bed and on one side they made a sound every time the person moved just a little bit. Again, inconvenient when having a small child in the room. - Both our backs, hips and our bodies in general felt stiff and bad after our stay. If you are sensitive to a bad bed, I suggest you stay elsewhere. Access/stairs. - There are at least three entrances to this apartment complex, two of them have a lot of stairs. If you have child in a stroller or some trouble with stairs you can only use the one entrance. There are also stairs up to the pool bar area. There are a few steps to the apartment from the pool are. There is no other way into the apartment. A person in a wheelchair could not stay there.

Sandra (1/5): Illegal rental, grossly overpriced and misrepresented online - one night was too much. - It was clean and the property managers were very helpful. Do not stay here! This property does not display the VV sign to show that it is registered as a VV holiday rental, so can only assume it is not a legal rental. It had also undergone illegal alterations which we have been told do not comply with Spanish rules regarding conversions. All sorts of gross misrepresentation on of the property’s attributes which had led us to book it. Owner gave us €800 refund but we’re still out of pocket for more than double that amount. Bookingdotcom has to take some responsibility for ensuring clients’ money is protected and insisting on VV licensing but they have ignored my requests for full refund so far. We stayed one night but that was only because we couldn’t find any place to stay until the next day.

Luis (9/5): Great place - The place was exceptionally clean with fully equipped kitchen. There was a beach umbrella and towels left to our disposition. The pool just at the entrance, 2 beaches less than 5min by foot. Short walk to the supermarket and restaurant-bar area. The weather was amazing which made the inside of the apartment unbearably hot at times, especially at night. The double be was actually made of 2 single beds. It was hard to find the entrance to the complex at first as you need to walk through the restaurant to get in.

Lara (7/5): We have had an awesome time in Tenerife. - Very nice location, beachfront, restaurants, stores, shopping centers all around and in walking distance. The apartment was fully equpit. I liked that there were a lot of towels available, you could find shampoos and sunscreen there. The apartment was clean. Uncomfortable bed and sofa. Airconditioner should be free or included in the price of the rent. There is no parking space, which is comon for the whole Tenerife. Usually you can park at the street.

Mike (3/5): Curfew! An absolute joke! - Location was great, very central. Well, to start it is listed as an air-conditioned apartment consisting of 1 separate bedroom ... in actual fact it is a Studio apartment with a curtain rail to create the so called bedroom. With regards it being an air-conditioned apartment, their was a separate coin meter box on the wall where you had to pay to use the Air-con. Also states wine/champagne is provided for guests, none was provided. After dropping our bags we went out to get supplies. When we came back we couldn't work the keypad to access the building, we then met other guests with the same issue. We noticed a sign that said "For security reasons this gate will be closed from 01:00 - 07:00am" however to our shock when we arrived back at 2am that actually meant that we were locked out completely, neither code pad or keys could open the gates, I had to climb over the gate cutting myself badly on the barbed wire only to discover that the gate could not be opened from the inside either. This place is a prison with a curfew, absolute hell, needless to say my wife was not able to climb the gate so luckily another guest helped her gain access.
Stewart (9/5): Superb - Location of the apartment is excellent very close to bars and restaurants and the beach, Within the complex the apartment is excellent for access to the pool whilst having the benefit of access to the shade of the terrace The additional charge for using the aircon wasn't great especially if you didn't have a 1 euro coin to operate it. However it wasn't a deal breaker.
Michael (10/5): I’ll be back. - Rooms comfortable. Big ceiling fans in the bedrooms are a nice touch. By night it was 22* and the rooms were still nice. Didn’t use the pullout couch but there is one. There’s an ironing board, iron, hairdryer, washing machine, mop, sweeping brush provided. Super central. Walking distance to everything. Supermarket next door so you don’t have to trek too far with your gallons of water. Shower was a bit temperamental. Perhaps it’s the water system in the apartment block but the shower would be at my ideal temperature and it would switch to cold for 10 seconds. This would happen at least every minute. That was a minor thing and I’d defo stay there again.

Megan (7/5): Perfect location. Everything you need at your fingertips. - The location of this property was perfect it was in the centre of Playa de Las Americas close to the beach and a short walk to the main strip. The apartment has almost everything you’d need while on holiday. The hosts were amazing providing water and wine on arrival and helpful with any questions/queries we had. There was no parasols at the pool. You had to walk through a restaurant for the main entrance. The pool all though big was quite shallow. The apartment among all its amenities lacked a microwave even though it was advertised to have one on booking.com. You have to pay one euro for 30 mins of air con.

It is a very clean apartment, loved the design of it, everything we needed to cook was available, beach towels also available to use, the proximity from apt to pool couldn't have been better, there was such a peaceful atmosphere, the Manager was friendly and helpful also. Safe provided. Small fee for use of air conditioner. No air conditioner in bedrooms only over head fans, although they were good, a bit noisy if find it hard to sleep. Sun beds removed at 6pm, would have preferred a later time.

Emily (6/5): Good location, nice apartment but wouldn’t book again - very good location, nice rooms and patio pool was great, lovely pool area nice to have pool and shower towels provided Air con is listed in facilities, but you have to pay! €1 for 80mins, absolutely crazy money making scheme! My partner is very large and found the heat in the apartment unbearable without the air con, we used a lot of our spending money just on air con! The air con doesn’t reach the other end of the apartment, bedrooms were way too hot. Needed another set of gate keys, the group always had to leave and arrive back to the apartment at the same time as there was only 1 key supplied for the gate. Small cockroaches, don’t think this can be helped though Shower cubicle needs an upgrade. Also unable to regulate water temperature (freezing cold then to too hot)

Ann (8/5): Review of our Tenerife accomodation. - Pools were a really great size and cleaned regularly, a lifeguard was present. The location was brilliant. Apartments had some good amenities and a travel cot and highchair was provided free of charge . Owners responded quickly to queries. Some of the beds were slightly uncomfortable and the internet dropped out in both apartments although fixed within 24 hours. Some TVs didn't work. No microwave in one apartment despite it being advertised as having one. We had to pay extra for air con in one of the apartments as it was hot in there and airflow through was poor. Also, other residents were noisy late at night at the weekend.

Leigh (3/5): Great location, but the apartment we rented was not worth the money and covered in cockroaches - The location of this property is the best thing about it - easy walking distance to local bars and restaurants. Lovely pool area. A week before arriving I contacted owner to ask how to get into property, and was told they would contact me the day before my arrival. Less than 24 hours before my flight, I had heard nothing, therefore contacted them again and was told to message them when I left the airport - not ideal - I was beginning to think I was the victim of fraud. Having paid over £2000 for this property, after a few days we contacted the owner to ask when it would be cleaned, to be told there was an additional charge for this! There was no cleaning products there for me to clean the apartment myself - and I certainly wasn't buying cleaning products on my holiday. The beds were changed once during our 2 week stay. The apartment does have air conditioning as advertised, however again there is a charge to use this. Advertised as a see view - the terrace looks on to a brick wall and if you look to your right past another 4 or 5 apartments, you may catch a glimpse of the sea. The place was over-run with cockroaches and we had to buy a spray to try and keep this under control. The sofa in the living room slumped/began changing into a sofa bed when sat on, the shower door didn't close properly, the umbrella on the terrace was broken/unusable and there wasn't a great deal of storage for 4 people. There was a lovely lifeguard who let us sit on the sunbeds after 7pm when our kids were still in the pool - all he asked is that we stacked our sunbeds away, which we did. However, on his days off there was a very grumpy lifeguard in his place who threw everyone off their sunbeds at 6.50pm, even though kids were still in the pool. There are signs around the pool saying it is not possible to reserve sunbeds, however people clearly did - they were all reserved with towels (not people) by around 9.30am and the lifeguard did nothing to prevent this from happening. There is no reception at this location, therefore nowhere to get showered/leave luggage if you have a later flight.
Shaun&laura21 (10/5): Brilliant location - Brilliant, location. Right next to the beach and main promenade. Very quiet on the night times. The bed is super comfortable and the apartment had everything you need including washing machine, oven, coffee machine, TV, and more. Lovely terrace to sit on of an evening with table and chairs plus a sun lounger. If you have a car, there is secure parking below in the garage for €50 per week. €1 euro for half hour of air con (pay as you go)

Debra (7/5): great stay , great location , very quiet - location , modern interior and well equipped. very quiet at nights. the beds in both rooms pushed against the wall , had to climb over my partner to go to the loo , washer didn’t work ,so towels not changed and shower cubicle needs attention to look cleaner around the bottom . No umbrellas around pool so no shade at all

Carol (2/5): Avoid not worth the money - The complex was very good but the heated pool broke down 3 days into our stay and they did not know when it would be fixed (still not fixed 11 days later when we left). The apartment balcony was a good size and had a view of the sea. The pictures of the apartment were very deceiving on the website. The bunk bed room was a joke! You could barely get into the wardrobe with no draws for clothes. The double bedroom was also tiny, the bed was against the wall and if the person against the wall wanted to get up they would have to climb over the other person. Also there was no window to the double room and the wall separating the bedroom from the hall is made up of glass blocks, so if someone put the hall light on it shone into the double bedroom. The shower cubicle in the bathroom was a 70cm x 70cm quadrant cubicle which meant you could barely move in it. The kitchen did have an oven and sink but not enough work top to prepare food. The apartment was listed for 3 people but the settee was only a 2 seater and if you sat on it you kept sinking lower and lower to the floor. The description of the apartment said it had a pull out sofa but after I booked they said it didn't but it is still listed with a pull out sofa and in fact the settee did pull out to make a bed but it was so old and uncomfortable the management company brought a mattress topper which barely helped. Again pictures on website showed sun loungers on the balcony but none where there so we contacted the management company and he brought two which was good but on one the slats underneath was broken and they tried to say it was okay when they brought them to us, then they said the owner would by two new ones for us but they never arrived. The door on the freezer compartment in the fridge was missing which made everything frozen in the fridge and forget about using the salad draw because not enough room to open the fridge door to pull it out as the fridge door hit the dining table. Overall I think this apartment was a one bed or studio and they shoehorned two bedrooms in it. Feel very deceived because the pictures of the apartment did not match up with what we got and certainly not worth what we paid.

Anna and Luca were amazing hosts . perfect Slightly over zealous pool guy ! removes towels from any Sunbed even if ur only having lunch !!! and when there is loads spare !
