• Nicole Irène (3/5): Heel teleurstellend , want de foto’s zijn misleidend . - De locatie was niet wat ik verwachte , ik las in de reviews van andere reizigers dat het een rustige buurt was . Zo heb ik dit niet ervaren het was een drukke en vooral geen propere straat . Ik heb opgemerkt dat er veel geürineerd werd aan de onderkant van de gevels van de huizen alsook op de voetpaden en niet door honden blijkbaar . Ook lag er afval verspreid , in deze buurt . Ik heb deze locatie en foto’s bekeken op de site van booking .com en boekte voor een Deluxe tweepersoonskamer met 1 of 2 bedden .Adres Via San Gallo 72 .. Bij aankomst merkte ik dat het een verouderd gebouw was , echter niet enkel het gebouw maar de kamer die ik toegewezen kreeg was totaal niet wat de foto's mij lieten geloven . De kamer lag ( aan de achterkant ) Wat positief kon zijn omdat de voorkant druk is . Maar toen de deur van deze kleine kamer dicht ging was het IJZIG stil . Het grootste probleem van deze kamer was het raam . Het was zo hoog geplaatst dat je vooraleer je naar buiten kon kijken er 2 treden waren als opstap . Aan de buitenkant van het raam was er een ijzeren TRALIE geplaatst, Dit maakte de kamer luguber , en gaf mij geen prettig gevoel .Het gaf mij het gevoel dat ik een persoon was die bezinning en retraite nodig had .De badkamer was klein en via een opstap te bereiken echter begrijp ik niet wat men onder luxe kan verstaan als je merkt dat er Dringend renovatie nodig was .Ik lees in reviews dat het bed heerlijk is om in te slapen .In kamer nr 4 was dit niet te merken . De gastheer was volgens mij ( commercieel ) vriendelijk . En inderdaad enkel te bereiken via Whatsapp . Ik heb hem éénmaal gezien bij aankomst en dan niet meer ...24 uur receptie heb ik al anders beleefd .De richtlijnen van de restaurants gestuurd via Whatsapp in de buurt heb ik dus bewust niet opgevolgd .Ik had mijn bedenkingen .

• Vilson Luiz (10/5): - Mesmo sendo um prédio antigo, conta com elevador. O quarto era silencioso (virado para os fundos) e a cama muito confortável. Dormimos muito bem! O apartamento é muito bem localizado, sendo possível acessar a pé quase todas as atrações. Daniele foi extremamente gentil e nos acolheu muito tem, passando muitas informações de restaurantes e locais para visitar, o que foi muito útil. A internet funcionou bem. Certamente recomendamos.

• Madhuparna (8/5): An interesting way to stay in an authentic Florentine setting - The host gave me some really good tips on where to eat as there was no breakfast served at the guest house. That I could not use the washroom on the last day after checkout when I came back from a walk to collect my luggage as there were no common toilets. All of them were ensuite.

Chambre propre mais au confort sommaire (peu de luminosité + salle de bain veille) - Emplacement idéal, calme tout en restant proche des principaux lieux de visite à Florence. Hôte sympathique et disponible à tout instant de la journée, nous l’avons régulièrement sollicité par Whatsapp pour des informations sur les restaurants notamment. Confort de la chambre sommaire : peu de luminosité et une salle de bain qui mériterait un rafraîchissement. Pas de petit-déjeuner possible avec cet établissement ce qui serait vraiment l’idéal pour débuter la journée tranquillement.

• Jackeline (10/5): Incredible place! - The bed was incredibly comfortable, I absolutely loved staying here. The place is spotless and, even though it’s not a traditional hotel, the level of service truly feels like one. The bathroom is impressively spacious for Europe, especially if you’re coming from the U.S. The owners were amazing, they gave us fantastic food recommendations that made our stay even better. The location is perfect: about 10 minutes from the main plaza and a 24-minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. It’s also very quiet, and the neighborhood feels safe and pleasant. I highly recommend this place.

Because it is not a hotel, you need to pre-arrange for check in/out and if you want to leave your luggage and pick it up later through the day, you need to accommodate to availabilities.

Daniele and Alessia were incredibly helpful and kind and gave us amazing food and activity (and shopping) recommendations! They were super friendly and accommodating. It’s in a quiet, safe neighborhood a 20 ish minute walk from the river but worth it for the quiet. Great value.

• Boris (8/5): Pleasant place to stay in Florence with nice and very helpful hosts - This accommodation is a kind of an appartement hotel - they don't provide a regular morning meal. They have a coffee machine and a number of packed cookies (to have with the coffee). Breakfast is not a problem in the area for there are a number of nice coffee shops with a good selection of pastries to offer. Coffee obviously is excellent (you are in Italy after all). The location is pretty central - about 8min walk to Piazza San Marco and some 15-20 to Piazza del Duomo. The hosts Alessia & Daniele were extremely nice and helpful. Our room was smaller than we expected (it was our 3rd time stay in this place). However there was a large and convenient guest lounge with coffee, cakes and some drinks (including alcoholic) upstairs. Though the steps were rather steep and not easy to climb for aged people. But still manageable.

The location is very close to city center, while also being a little removed from the crowds. Best of both worlds. Highly recommend staying here.

O lanche que eles oferecem é gostoso e ainda tem café disponível no quarto. Além disso, a localização atendeu muito bem por estar razoavelmente próxima das coisas a pé, mas fora do burburinho. Por último, se quiséssemos eles limpavam o quarto todos os dias e trocavam toalhas e roupas de cama sem custos! Quarto um pouco apertado, mas em geral atendeu super bem!

• Samuel (9/5): Wonderful place in Florence - This is a great place to stay in Florence. The rooms are very clean and cosy, boutique-hotel style. We never got the chance to meet the owners, but they were super friendly, helpful and responsible by phone and messages. They helped us several times during our stay. They are not on site most of the time, but their outstanding reactivity largely compensates. It also means there is no breakfast on site, but there are free candies, tea, snacks to help you wait until you discover one of the great places to have breakfast in the neighbourhood.

I felt right at home when I was welcomed so graciously by Daniele, who helped me with my luggage and spent extra time with me acquainting me with the setting and giving me excellent recommendations for cafes, food, and more in Florence. The space is beautifully decorated and is a peaceful and relaxing place to return to after exploring this amazing city. I will be back! There’s nothing I didn’t like!

• Blum (10/5): I will absolutely recommend to family and friends, and we hope to return! - This was the best stay we have had in Florence. The location was perfect, just outside of the extremely touristy area but also walkable to everything and very quiet. Getting a local's recommendations was what we all dream of when we travel to a new city. Daniele spent time when we arrived to recommend restaurants and cafes, we tried everything he recommended and ate some of the best meals we have had in Italy!

• João (10/5): A cozy retreat away from the chaos - The room was cozy and had everything we needed, from toiletries, to coffee machine and tea kettle, and air conditioner. Daniele's hospitality absolutely made the experience more than worthwhile, giving us a very detailed map and suggestions of what to see, what to do and where to eat in the city. The location is about 15 minutes away from the city center. It's a very straightforward walk that was more than worth it for escaping the chaos and the noise from the more busy streets. If you go there via the airport, you can catch the T2 tram just outside and stop at Lavagnini Poliziano, and then it's a 5 minute walk. It was super simple to get to the property and to make it back again. Both Daniele and Alessia were always available to help us with reservations or anything that we needed during our stay. They are very welcoming and will put you at ease immediately, so take advantage and let them help you make this a great stay! Just a minor detail: if you're a big guy like me (187cm/about 6'1"), the bathtub in our room was a bit cramped. I could still shower perfectly, but it required some gymnastics to get in and move around. There are other rooms in the property, so you could have a different experience.

• MarPet (9/5): Charmante Unterkunft in guter Lage, sympathische Gastgeber - Daniele und seine Frau sind sehr engagiert und sympathisch. Sie haben sich Zeit genommen und uns mit vielen Informationen versorgt. Bei der Abreise durften wir unsere Koffer noch stehen lassen. Wir hatten aufgrund verschiedener Umstände unsere Ankunftszeit mehrmals verschieben müssen, aber sie haben sehr freundlich und flexibel reagiert. Das Unterkunft ist originell und gemütlich. Alles war sehr sauber. Auch die Lage hätte nicht besser sein können. Uns hat es nichts ausgemacht, aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt hat man vielleicht etwas wenig Stauraum.

• Szymon (10/5): Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great accommodation in Florence with excellent service. - It was very homey and welcoming, the service was superb, the room was spacious and very pretty. The AC in our room was a little bit loud in the morning, but it only happened one night. Other than that everything was perfect.
