• Lydia-Marie (9/5): - Eine perfekt gelegene und sehr stillvoll renovierte Ferienwohnung. Man merkt, hier war jemand vom Fach am Werk! Gefreut haben wir uns auch über die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten wie Begrüßungssekt, Kaffee und Reisekosmetik. Wir kommen gerne wieder! :)

• Melanie (6/5): Nice location and very clean but accommodation not quite as advertised - The location was excellent but you will need a car. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils, the WiFi was good and there were plenty of sockets. There was no hanging facilities for clothes and no full length mirror. There was no washing machine as stated in the description and the complimentary wine/champagne was actually just a bottle of sparkling water. There was no mini bar and the free toiletries was only hand soap by the bathroom sink. There were a couple of half empty travel toiletries that looked like they had been left by previous visitors. The oven was a small mini oven and could only cook one thing at a time. There was no desk, not that I needed one but it was stated in the description as were other items that were not there.

Stilvolle, komfortable Einrichtung, freundlich, hell und sonnig mit Außenrollos für die gute Nachruhe. Gastgeber über Telefon jederzeit erreichbar und super freundlich und hilfsbereit. wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen :)

• Gigi (9/5): Comfortable, convenient, and charming in Colditz - an artsy apartment with a sense of history. - Charming apartment in an historic building that is refurbished and decorated with pride and taste, with many nice little touches. The bedroom is at the quiet back of the building, which diminished the light from the streetlight that some others wrote about; that does penetrate the living room at night. The Rollator shades worked well too, keeping the place cool when it was fairly warm out. We had everything we needed in the kitchen though were not cooking. Easy walking to the castle and downtown, and though we could not locate the supposed official parking spot, a spot down the street worked out. Communication with the host was easy and pleasant, and we enjoyed our stay. We also appreciated the little "minibar" on the pretty and unique cabinet in the living room, and sampled a tasty beer. Danke! Nothing was really problematic, though the streetlight could bother someone sleeping on the sofabed in the living room. As a past reviewer noted, there are few places to hang or place clothes. Just two hooks and two hangers at the front door. This was not a problem for us for a short stay. We also moved a handy extra chair in the kitchen to be a second nightstand. As in some other rentals, there was no shampoo or body wash, but we had a small supply (it was a holiday - no shopping) and it seems there is variation in rentals, so travel prepared. The nice hand soap could do in a pinch. :)
• Ann (9/5): Perfect for a trip to Colditz Castle - Location and style. Was right on top of Colditz The property was great, a full length mirror would make it perfect along with a little book advising people where to eat or get supplies.

• Bruce (6/5): Quirky apartment with questionable parking - Great location - I think there is only one reason to visit Colditz and that is to visit the castle. This apartment was just outside the castle walls. Nice clean apartment. A double bed but only a single duvet - not sure why? The shutters on the front of the building didn't work properly so very diffiuclt to keep the light from the street lights from disturbing my sleep. An easy fix for someone with a ladder, I would think? The towels provided in the bathroom are a little small - bigger, flufy towels would make this accommodation a lot nicer The listing says there is a parking space - but this is not true. The parking spaces are owned by the other buildings - or so the (very polite) neighbour told me. However, she was kind enough to let me leave my car there. This needs to be clarified in the listing. I couldn't get the induction hob to work - I followed the instructions (in English) but never got a saucepan to heat up. The little convector oven is fine but a microwave would be much more useful.
• Richard (8/5): Ideal location to visit the castle! - Nice clean colourful bathroom. Basic but sufficient kitchen car parking available. Warm apartment. Good shower. Didn’t know which parking place was to be used. I was told by a neighbour but when we arrived it was already in use. More information on restaurants and facilities available in colditz would be useful with opening times. More information about rubbish and recycling and what to do with rubbish at the end of the stay would be useful.
• Simon (9/5): good value for money. - the accommodation was very very clean and tidy. The location was perfect. the Web site said "parking" ..but in fact, it was street parking.( Fortunately there is ample on the road outside).
• Roz (10/5): Brilliant - Great location… directly below Colditz castle. Very comfortable bed, nice lounge area, and a well equipped kitchen. Good communication with the owners with easy check in instructions. Nothing - it was perfect.
• David (9/5): Great location, would definitely stay again and happy to recommend to others. - The property is very close to the castle (roughly 5 mins up the hill). We had a very nice stay. The property was nice and clean with most things provided apart from an oven and tumble dryer. Car parking is available in the car port opposite. We weren’t sure where the washing machine was but eventually found it in the basement. We couldn’t get any channels on the tv but to be fair these were only minor things as the property was lovely and would have no hesitation recommending or staying again.

• David (9/5): Great holiday apartment in central Colditz - Great location, only about 5 minutes walk (albeit uphill) from the famous Schloss Colditz. A lovely historic building which has been well renovated. Limited cooking facilities but absolutely fine for a short stay.
• David (10/5): Loved it here, such an atmospheric place and building. I’d love to stay here again - We loved this little apartment. It is directly below the castle. It has off road parking across the road, it’s got lots of original features, and you can imagine how it was back in the war and before. Built in 1904, it has everything you need, including internet tv. It’s a little quirky but Nicolas the owner has done a great job. It was one of our favourite apartments on this trip. Could have done with a mirror in the bedroom and maybe move the chest of drawers out so you can get a suitcase in the bedroom.
• Rick (10/5): Lovely apartment in a great location - The apartment was really good, clean, bright and open - we loved it. The owner was very responsive and helpful. If you want to visit Colditz you must stay here. The facilities stated that it had a washing machine but none was visible. I contacted the owner who stated it was in the basement. We made good use of it as we were on a motor cycle.

• Lynne (9/5): Excellent place for a few days. - I loved the beautiful whole apartment to stay in. Everything felt new and fresh and was in a traditional building hugging the castle walls. A quiet safe feel to the place. Only 5 mins walking to the town square and up to the castle. Highly recommend this stay. Met by owner which was easy. Absolutly nothing. A bus timetable for leaving would have been really helpful.
