• Muniba (4/5): Improve breakfast - It was all good other than breakfast. Breakfast time was 8 to 10 am and if you go at 9 Am you will not find many items. Even if they see you they never brought those things again like fruit and many items. I have never seen this behaviour anywhere else.

• Hadiyah (8/5): - The area in which the hotel is located is very close to Sultanahmet square around a 7 minute walk. There many local businesses close to the hotel which have reasonable prices. The hotel itself is quite small but good for the price. Very friendly staff and they are really helpful. The hotel doesn’t have lift access which could be hard for some people. They don’t have a lot amenities included like having a kettle in the room. However for the price paid they have excellent service

This small hotel is a lovely and confortable place just a few minutes away from the Haiga Sofia and the Blue Mosque. All the other important museums and bazaars in the historic center of the city are also a few steps away. No complaints.

• Kam (1/5): I would like to get a refund for this place and also ask if Booking.com does check these places out? - I am sad to say nothing was to like about this place. This place sold us lies and I am angry that my first trip to Istanbul was met with such disappointment and frustration that I cannot begin to put into words. Firstly the name says Serenity and nothing about the place is that, furthermore “Boutique” is also a lie. That place is like a dom. My request was for a sea view room which I paid extra for and my ask which is on the booking was: 1. A room with uninterrupted views. I didn’t get that as promised. 2. I asked for a double and not 2 single beds and I was given exactly that which I didn’t ask for, two joined beds. Now the beds were joined with one lower than the other and skewed to one side which made me roll off the bed. 3. The room had an intense sewer smell that just wouldn’t go away even with the window opened. 4. The room had an AC that kept making a ringing sound that couldn’t allow me to enjoy a good night sleep. ( I have video of this.) 5. The bathroom was horrible and that shower looked like it was filled a day before and had mould and dust even on the taps. 6. The steps getting to the third floor are shaky and made of wood with a carpet that is so dirty and smelly. Coming back to this room every night was a nightmare and I couldn’t look forward to this. 7. Breakfast was repurposed and not fresh at all especially the boiled eggs which would be warmed so much that the yoke was dark grey and had water. 8. The bed of the bed was a board that looked like it was ready to crack any minute. 9. Another shock was the double bed which was covered with a smaller duvet that could barely cover the full bed. 10. Even the clock on that kitchen terrace didn’t work. I mean how difficult is it to replace a battery or remove the old watch. 11. The sheets were not changed nor were the towels. 12. That brown quilt had white stains and was smelling to show that these were not washed to prevent infection or skin hives. I could type a whole thesis on the horror that was that place. But what was saddening was meeting a newly wed couple from Germany on the breakfast table and having them ask us how our room was since theirs was leaking and had an air on that wouldn’t switch off saying their room was a sauna.

• Manisha (8/5): Great location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. - Very close to the major attractions - Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, grand bazaar, spice bazaar, etc. A 20mn walk to all the places, since some of it is uphill, it may take longer depending on the individual. The proximity to the Tram station was also an advantage to get to Taksim Square or Galatta Tower. Most importantly, the staff was very friendly - Armaan was very accommodating and helpful. He gave us tips for Bosphorous Cruise, restaurants and getting around the city. The breakfast was also amazing! The Wifi was a bit slow at times, but we used Rent n connect so, it wasn't a big problem.

Not satisfied with the level of hygiene on the premises, the bedding was stained. Reception staff were polite and helpful but cleaning and restaurant staff were not. However, the hotel is inexpensive and the location is perfect if you would like to explore the local tourist spots Hygiene and some of the staff
• Jimmy (9/5): Excellent location, price & breakfast - Excellent location, in the old city, near the blue mosque, with the lowest price I could find in booking.com on that area. The rooms and clean, the consierge was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was probably the best one we had in Turkey. They had run out of clean towels, so we had to use one towel for the xamily.
• Sadiq (7/5): Good budget freindly hotel - Location was perfect. Short walk to The 2 famous mosques. The location is also in a quiet place. The room gets cleaned and the towels changed everyday which was great and they smell amazing too. The breakfast changes slightly everyday but always delicious and enough to get your day started. The double bed in the room was slightly broken so a part of the mattress was sloppy which was uncomfortable to sleep on. Wasn’t a big issue but the Walls are thin so you can hear people walking up stairs.

When taxi brought us from airport to hotel -doors were closed , ring didnt work , we were standing under the hotel 15minutes angry didnt know what to do. • Katharina (8/5): A hotel worth considering - The location was great for exploring the places we wanted to see. The hotel felt safe with having a key pad at the main entrance. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The "room with seaview" was as per photo on booking.com. it was nice being able to open the windows. Sometimes we were able to see across to the other shores. All together we had a very pleasant stay. Thanks to the three hotel staff present in May 2023! One thing, which was not bothering for us: the last flight of metal stairs to our floor and the breakfast room on the same floor seemed a bit challenging for some guests and would not have been an option for some of my own family members if they had traveled with us. It would be helpful to be mentioned in the hotel description. As many small hotels I have stayed in overseas, if you are worried about a fire breaking out - book in at a bigger hotel and ask for evacuation plans Before you book! Don't expect EXIT signs or smoke alarms in small places. At least I did not see any - and as member of our local volunteer fire brigade, that always plays on my mind.

Reception exceptional. - Location was good, nearby the main attractions in the city, however hotel is located down hill so you have to walk up quite steep hill to get to the city and it may cause some problems for older or less fit people. Breakfast was good and the lady serving the food was very friendly however I was expecting a little bit better coffee being in Turkey. Room was good enough to stay few days there. Clean. I would like to have slightly better coffee.

There are only two sockets for the entire room. the light only works in the chandeliers on the ceiling, in other sources the bulbs burned out. the hair dryer did not work, they gave a replacement for another very old one that barely blew. Shampoo and shower gel are essentially poured from the same bottle, the quality is terrible. Water accumulates in the shower as it is not fully covered. there is no soundproofing at all. breakfasts are disgusting, prepared terrible quality mayonnaise salads, a bunch of pickled olives, salty cheese, in fact, you could only eat boiled eggs and bread and butter. terrible coffee. do not recommend this hotel especially for more than 1 night

Staff were similarly accommodating with checkout and pre-booking a taxi for us for the evening. The location is within comfortable walking distance of all the sights we were interested in.

This accomodation isn't even proper for saying that "at least we had some place to sleep over night"... Unfriendly neighborhood, dirty hotel, awful room, unpleasent smelling towels and bed sheets, window and door that do not close properly, unsafe electrical equipment (unsealed sockets, with risk of electric shock, rusty mini-fridge and hair dryer)...A totaly different reality from the one in the pictures, to which must be added the lack of parking space (parking is available somewhere close the property in more than poor conditions for the extra money we were asked for - 12 euro/night, without receipt).
