• Saltrams (10/5): A Real Gem - Our second review because we returned to stay at Liapis - so it’s obviously good! Occasionally travellers find a place that is just right; the Goldilocks porridge of locations that provides everything one hopes for when choosing a place to stay. Liapis Estate is just such a place. The hosts, Nicole and Thoma are genuinely good people who care about their guests (we know because we needed help and they fell over themselves to assist). Their self-contained guest accommodation is clean, well appointed and comfortable and has the most breathtaking views over Adelaide to the sea, particularly stunning at sunset. There’s a fully featured kitchen with oven, hob, fridge and dishwasher, a washing machine and plenty of space for 2 travellers to litter with their luggage and paraphernalia. Parking is right outside and the estate is lovely to wander, feed the chickens (very grateful) and 2 tame sheep (picky eaters). Thoma brings his home grown produce at every opportunity according to availability; we received the world’s best plums, gorgeous tomatoes, perfect plump olives and sweet figs. The Liapis family are exceptional hosts and we look forward to returning next year. Liapis was perfect. Whoever left a 5 out of 10 needs their perceptions realigned. Also, for avoidance of doubt there is a laundry.
• Wolfgang Holzner (10/5): Einzigartiges Mieterlebnis - wenn es nicht so weit weg wäre von Deutschland, dann öfter... hier. - Lage, Lage, Lage! Superlage am Stadtrand. Abends kann man entspannen von trubeliger Stadt und Verkehr. Thoma Liapis ist ein sehr freundlicher, hilfsbereiter und interessanter Mann. Gerne haben wir mit ihm geplaudert. Er hatte viele tolle Tipps! Wenn wieder Adelaide, dann bei Thoma. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig. Die Küche praktisch und gut eingerichtet. Bad grandios. Terrasse mit Sonnenuntergang ein Traum. Umgebung: Wunderbarer Naturpark gleich um die Ecke. Wohnung war guter Ausgangspunkt für Adelaide Hills und Barrossa Valley sowie die Ecke um Hahndorf. nichts. alles war sehr gut!

• Saltrams (10/5): A Very Enjoyable Stay; We’re Going Back! - Set in a quiet suburb with breathtaking views over Adelaide, Liapis is a perfect home-from-home base for those who prefer not to use hotels. Hosts Thoma & Nicole could not have been more welcoming, generous and helpful and the apartment is spacious and comfortable. Nothing, we were very happy there.

• Judith (9/5): A view and a review. - It was spacious, and very well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. Probably my own mistake, but I originally thought it was b&b, but it was more air b&b. Breakfast was not part of the cost. It was ok, as long as you know. Also not the owners fault, but the address was given as 5 and it was actually 15. The owners do send directions the day before, which was very useful. The view from the unit are superb. All in all a very nice break away from home over Christmas. No breakfast supplies.
