Guest Reviews
- Ross (9/5): - Handy No microwave
- Deborah (7/5): Comfortable - Big room. Plenty of bench space, cutlery and crockery. Breakfast cereal was a bonus.
- Ruth (6/5): Budget accommodation in Peterborough - Economy stopover, room was clean in a dated motel/hotel Considering the price and location we weren’t expecting luxury accommodation
- Stewart (9/5): - Would have got 10 / 10 rating other than Breakfast facilities were provided (condiments and a Toaster) but no Bread. We asked for Bread from Reception, but they had none.
- Richard (8/5): Just what we wanted at a rice that was fair. - We went to the ANZAC Dawn Service, so we had breakfast in the Town Hall. If it matters, that breakfast was excellent.
The convenient location, the quietness, the room was clean and comfortable, access to the room and to the hotel was excellent, staff were cheerful and helpful, it was well priced. Great shower. We were only there for one night. We cannot think of anything significant that could have been done better. Tissues in the room would be appreciated. Our pet hate of thin toilet paper. Some small maintenance issues - tap had a minor leak, the drawstring on the window blinds did hot function. But we easily worked around those minor matters.
- Robert T (7/5): Basic good value motel acomodation which was perfect for 1 night. -
- Anne (7/5): - Large room, excellent toiletries, good air-conditioning Uncomfortable bed, cleaning could be better. In need of some updating of furniture and carpet

- Russell (7/5): Good place to stay if you're passing through. - The spa room was very clean and the staff were great. Bed was also quite comfortable for a motel. The room was a little musty but over all not to bad.
- pierre (8/5): un peu déçu d'avoir une chambre dans l'annexe de l'hôtel; on l'avait choisi en raison de son style a - la grandeur et le confort et le calme de la chambre rien
- Mark (8/5): Great value for money … one of the best little motels in regional SA - Clean , comfortable , breakfast items
- Sparks (5/5): Avoid room no.2 Bed needs replacing. - I liked the breakfast cereal of cornflakes, milk was ample too. Lots of shampoos and conditions and soaps. Towels and linen decent quality. The double bed had broken springs in room no.2 so I wasn't able to lay flat and sleep, or sit on the side of the mattress without one leg being higher than the other, it was that bad. I was too tired to move rooms. Not worth $130 a night. I should get a refund.
- John (7/5): -

- Miriam (8/5): - clean comfy room at a budget price.
The staff were friendly and let us store our luggage while our car was getting checked by the local mechanic
- Fiona (7/5): - Friendly staff.
- Robertson (7/5): Great stop-over on our way to Adelaide. Pity the museum was closed. - Accessible, staff very friendly, huge room; breakfast supplied! Nothing
- David (8/5): -
- Carolyn (7/5): -
- Rowena (8/5): Nice place to stay. A few “fix ups” could ”lift” the room - Close to everything
Impressed with toiletries
Grateful for breakfast cereal etc
Comfortable bed Not that it wasn’t liked but in Room 3 there is a missing light globe in bedside lamp; hand soap dispenser in bathroom was empty; carpets could do with a good shampoo.
Suggest getting rid of the “petrol station” style toilet paper and hand wash dispensers!!
Wifi only worked for one device; came up with a wrong password message for the others. A bit frustrating when 2 people are staying
- David (9/5): -
- Bernie (9/5): Top stay in a lovely country town. -
- Annette (6/5): Just about everything in Peterborough is closed, very disappointing. Accommodation was ok. - Clean, quiet & parking on site. Said they had a restaurant but it was closed all day when we were there.

- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Douglas (10/5): -
- Denise (8/5): Very reasonable price for accommodation - Location perfect, cleanliness, nice hot shower, good amount soap and personal products, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits very homely. Air conditioning was very adequate but the actual air conditioner was quite load, when cutting in and out, we’re not light sleepers but it woke us, to compensate a fan heater is supplied which we chose to utilise so we could sleep peacefully, a slight negative
- Michael (8/5): -
- stephen (4/5): - It could have been a great experience however the kettle was full of mould and when we asked for a replacement, we were not provided with one.
- Glen (8/5): - Hospetely, Slippery shower floor
- Reni (9/5): - Convenient and clean
- Smith (8/5): -
- Drew (7/5): -
- Robyn (7/5): - Great location, had everything we needed
- Chris (7/5): - Easy to access Limited meal option due to an event
- Skinner (9/5): I enjoyed a quiet comfortable stay in Peterborough. - The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The hotel is centrally located and cereal is provided for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Lester (9/5): -
- Cheryll (8/5): Comfortable stay. - We were attending a Lions Club Dinner. The accommodation location was great. Staff friendly and helpful - makes such a difference. Excellent food. Great value for money. The weather was terrible - really heavy rain - unusual for Peterborough - very muddy courtyard to pass through to reach the bistro.
- Leonard (9/5): A pleasant stay in a convenient location. - Clean and well presented.
Staff were helpful and the bed comfortable. Centre ceiling light didn’t work.
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (5/5): Passable -
- Stephen (8/5): Comfortable and most adequate. -
- Terry (10/5): It was a short stay to do a job and the motel was ideal for the purpose - The location was perfect
- Ronda (3/5): Poor - The staff No heating in the room. I had to buy a small heater. Very cold
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Shirley (8/5): Great improvement Keep up the good work - The room was a great improvement from the last time we were there. The addition of breakfast cereal and toaster is a good idea.Good clean linen Last time it was threadbare and even had holes in it.Keep up the good work Toilet system was coming to pieces. My sister complained about the water pressure in the shower but I didn’t have a problem.Air conditioning works well but is noisy. If you haven’t got yours on you can still hear the neighbours
- Kyleigh (7/5): Last min trip good for money - The beds were fairly comfortable pillows very high and beds were clean. The spa was dirty and had hair clumps in it. Considering we specifically paid extra to have a spa. We had to clean it out first. 🤢
No microwave unfortunately.
Abit of light comes through the blinds at night.
Roughly every 2 hours for the first half the night when the train went by it would toot its horn and wake me. Not a great sleep due to the light and noise.
Corners or room could use a more focused vacuum.
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Bovey (10/5): Exceptional - The customer service was excellent.
- Deborah (8/5): Very good -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Julie (7/5): Good -
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brett (7/5): Good -
- Anne (5/5): Passable - Showers were very hard to get a nice even temp and flow. Tended to be hot then cold etc.
- Dean (7/5): OK - OK Shortage of a spoon to eat breakfast. No hot water jug to boil to m,ake a cup of tea.
- Davis (8/5): Spacious room, value for money - Spacious room, bed was comfortable, car parking was good. Location was good, on main street of town. Cleanliness could be better, there was no cups, plates or cutleries even though tea and coffee, kettle and toaster were provided.
- Jismon (9/5): Superb -
- Tony (3/5): Poor -
- Dalley (7/5): Good - Party next door 1am
- Helen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Helen (4/5): Disappointing stay. - Being in the main street, close to the towns attractions. Arriving at 2.50pm and room not cleaned. The only staff person who appeared to be looking after the whole pub needed to go and quickly clean it. We were handed the key and couldn't open the door. I had to get the "only" person there to open the door. She needed to get some WD40 to spray into the door lock before we could get in. I am sure she cleaned the room to the best of her ability given her time frame but I was unsure if it was cleaned to standard. The spare bed still had used sheets on. We later found that the TV didn't work or all the power points on that side of the room. Including the power point in the bathroom. Didn't check the air con, we didn't need it just for one night on a stop over. Outside of the units need a good clean up too. The spa was ok and surprisingly I slept well even though the mattress initially felt uncomfortable. No blame on the lovely staff person, she did her very best. But I wouldn't stay again.
- Dave (5/5): Fine for a quick overnight stop only. - Good location in town, close to pubs.
Easy check-in process.
Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Room was run down, stains in carpet, dirty taps in bathroom. In need of TLC.
- Sue (5/5): It was ok not sure if I’d recommend - We didn’t have breakfast
No glasses spoons cups plates …we made two trips to main hotel to get but there was a kettle and toaster in the room 🤷🏼♀️ Cleanliness outside, cheerier staff, crockery glasses already in room
- Graeme (5/5): Friendly staff, great food, but dirty room - Very dirty room
- Loretta (9/5): It served our purpose - Did not have breakfast Leaking toilet system
- Nereda (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (1/5): Bad - Our rooms did not appear to have been cleaned in between guests.
- Graeme (7/5): Good -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Anil (5/5): Passable -
- Allan (4/5): Not pleasant. - Location Fridge didn’t work, window missing in bathroom, needs updating.
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Curan (7/5): Good location. - Location was excellent. Room.was.large and clean. Main bed was getting tired and saggy.
Second bed was okay but very firm.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - The hotel is a fairly old structure but the motel room I stayed in at the rear had good access, and was a clean and fairly modern unit, at a good price. The meal in the Bistro was quite good and also a good price.
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Karlene (8/5): Very good - Having the dining room 20 m from our room was good considering there aren't too many places to eat in Peterborough.
The food was really good & the deserts tasty indeed.
The bed was comfy & the heater worked really well.
Was nice to have cereal in the room for breakfast.
The hot water in the shower was great. The pillows on the bed were really too thin, we need 2 for support.
The bathroom was really small, there wasn't much room to move about to dry off.
Our room didn't get serviced, had to go into the hotel to get a cereal.
There was no spoons to eat the cereal (we got them from the dining room) & the milk serves were too small.
- Danika (7/5): Good -
- Kerry (8/5): Friendly, cosy stay! - Friendly helpful staff. Warm inviting atmosphere. Room was cosy with comfortable bed and a comfy chair to watch tv. The room was a good price. Staff cooked a yummy pizza and delivered it to our room. A nice surprise was some breakfast cereal left for us. All good thanks
- Sue (7/5): Ok I guess for the money - Convenience Stained carpets not very inviting and handbadin is all stained or something making it not look very clean
Think carpets and handbasin need an upgrade
And would be great
- Tanya (6/5): Reasonable. - We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was very average. Didn’t want to complain as we work in retail and understand the pressures of running a business especially with hard to find, qualified staff. But all meals were disappointing sorry. Everything else was okay however. A qualified chef.
- Megan (10/5): Welcoming staff, great location - Great location for us- a dinner we were attending was being held there Needs a bit of a refurbishment
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Terry (8/5): I would stay there again. - Location of the hotel/motel was very good - in the main street and close to facilities. The hotel restaurant was excellent with good quality country food. The motel room, althought old, was large with good heating and shower. The carpet needed some work. (stains)
- Bren (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (7/5): Good - Clean, tidy & comfortable for one night. Fridge didn't work in the room & bed was average
