• David (10/5): Everything was spotlessly clean and the whole unit sparkled- we had a wonderful stay - Central location. Bright and airy- everything felt like new. Plenty of space for the two of us. Nice balcony to sit out and have breakfast. Just a few minutes walk from Coles , shops and restaurants- couldn’t be any more convenient Really nothing but if you want to be picky- the car spaces in the basement always seemed to be full - a good sign I suppose- but we were left one day with having to park in a very narrow corner park- luckily we had a small hire car so managed it. Another minor point - it would be nice if a bath towel change was offered FOC every day - just drop off the used ones and pick up clean ones. It is the tropics after all and you do sweat a lot! Anyway these are minor points which didn’t impact our stay. Gary and Joy do a fabulous job keeping the rooms , building and facilities in tip top condition. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.

• Nadja (10/5): Wohlfühloase - Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit allem, was man braucht. Hier haben wir uns richtig wohl gefühlt! Ein richtiger Herd wäre vielleicht gut (statt nur zwei Kochplatten), aber das Angebot an Restaurants in Port Douglas ist im Vergleich zu sehr sehr vielen anderen Orten sehr gut.
• B. van (10/5): Super appartement op perfecte lokatie met geweldige hosts - Zeer centraal gelegen appartement met alle voorzieningen, een heerlijk bed en kussens, goeie airco, Fijne badkamer, heerlijk balkon. Het zwembad is lekker en er is ook een BBQ voor algemeen gebruik. Het is op loopafstand van de haven en 4 mile Beach. Jo en Gary zijn supervriendelijk en hebben hele goeie tips (ze raadden snorkelen met Wavelength aan, absolute aanrader!). Communicatie is snel en ze waren vantevoren ook zeer informatief. Als ik iets moet zeggen: de deur is van binnen niet op slot te doen (maar qua veiligheid is dat niet nodig want de buurt is heel veilig en de appartementen zijn ‘s avonds gesloten)

The manager was on the phone to her husband, the dog was barking at us and we were - The location was very good and close to shops We didn’t realise the managers’ had a dog, a very yappy dog. It was barking wildly when we arrived and continued throughout our stay. It was very annoying. The owners looked after it nicely, walking it regularly but it still liked to bark.

Hosts were informative and helpful. Accommodation was well equipped, functional and attractive. Everything we needed for our stay with good security.

Absolutely wonderful and beautiful place to stay. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again!
• Lynne (4/5): - The accommodation is well situated in the centre of town, close to shops, the marina and Four Mile Beach. The room is a decent size, with a screened-off bedroom, and a balcony. The self catering facilities consist of fridge-freezer, microwave and a hot plate. The low marking is entirely due to the claimed accessibility, and the arrogance of the owners when we pointed out its shortcomings. As I am a wheelchair user, we chose to stay here because we were attracted by the claims to be accessible-friendly, with “accessible parking”, “accessible reception” and “accessible room”. We asked for a ground floor room. The room is adapted. I would not, however, call it accessible. The parking is underground, with no elevator and a very steep slope up to the ground level. The reception is up yet another, similar slope (and from my chair I was unable to see the reception staff unless they were standing up). The room is on this level, but everything else - swimming pool, barbecue patio, laundry facilities - is downstairs, with absolutely no access for a wheelchair user. The downstairs area itself is not disabled friendly - access to the sunbeds being via a stepping stone over part of the pool, and the sunbeds being on a raised platform. The owner was quite dismissive of the idea that a residence boasting of its access should property ensure that the disabled person has access to all (or at least most) of the facilities, and not just the room.

• Rebecca (10/5): Great location - We really enjoyed staying here! The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The location was great - right in the center of town but only a short walk to the beach. And even though it was in the center of town, it was very quiet! Gary and Jo were great and we appreciated the airport pickup and drop off. We were also able to do laundry on the property.

• Penglii (8/5): Peaceful and relaxing. - Location was excellent, right in the centre of town. Convenience of grocery store right next door. Establishment is a little dated but still very comfortable and well maintained. Lovely deck to sit on and relax. Comfortable seating and bedding. Shower was quite sizable with fantastic water pressure and all day hot water. Kitchen was well supplied with cooking facilities. Strangely, the internet for the ty was sketchy, but worked ok on mobile. For a 7 night stay would have liked a change of towels and bedding.

It was quiet at night. There was a smell in the room. Manager came to look but couldn’t find source so gave me an air freshener. It was apartment 3 and hopefully will be resolved. Manager was helpful.

Lots of chic boutiques nearby. 10min walk to quay for boat trips. The hosts advised me which day tours were best and booked them for me. Wavelength Reef snorkel tour amazing. I had to carry heavy suitcase up 14 steps to my room, should have requested ground floor apartment. But once there, no issues

• Jing (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfortable apartment in downtown Port Douglas, yet it is very very quiet with easy access to Coles next door and plenty resturants choices nearby.  We stayed in a 2nd floor apartment with balcony to a lovely mountain view in distance.  Love the simple room deco which gives a relaxing holiday feel.  Property manager Jo and Garry are very friendly, our daughter even organised a surprising birthday cake for my husband with Jo's help. This is the place to chill out and enjoy your holiday in PD.

I know I could have washed them, but I am on holiday! Very noisy at times from an adjoining resort and guests on balconies above us talking VERY loudly with TV at max volume so we could hear every word.

Wonderful location in downtown Port Douglas, so could walk to everything. Could not fault and would stay again. Very private, felt like a little oasis. Access to our room was via the garage driveway, however this wasn't a problem and was easy access.
• James (8/5): We would happily return again to this accommodation, our ground floor unit gave us very easy access, - Location is fantastic in the middle of the main street of Port Douglas, everything close by, yet our room was lovely and quiet. Ceiling paint starting to lift in bathroom around exhaust needs attention, but minor really.
