Guest Reviews
- Tobias (10/5): -
- peta (7/5): Beautiful location, a little quirky - Very unique. Literally a little sanctuary on Sydney harbour. You need to walk outside to use the bathroom and kitchen which is a little odd. The main house overlooks the Accom so it feels like you could be being watched (there was never any evidence of this).
- Ryan (8/5): Rachel and John were more than accommodating.they made sure our requests were met and provided excellent communication - Great location. No AC in rooms.
- Virginia (10/5): -

- Dawn (10/5): - The location was beautiful and the place was well equipped to make your stay perfect.
Very relaxing and look forward to returning. There was nothing I didnt like.
- Katt (10/5): Absolutely stunning! - Stunning location and property, I stayed in the little boathouse on the water, so amazing, can’t wait to come back again.
- Louise (10/5): Harbour front unique experience - Fantastic location - wonderful to be on the harbour front watching sailing boats and cats and ferries- just magic. Very unique experience- highly recommended
- Hunter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Murray (5/5): although we only booked 10am of that morning the $450 we paid was not up to our expectations - The location is great being on the harbour, however the pics are misleading as there is no access to the water, also would not recommend to elderly or toddlers as access is an effort and narrow, and no barriers on the dock/wharf. "Free Parking" is non-existent, its street parking lottery in narrow streets, so if you get one don't move.
Also, the accommodation would be totally dependent on weather, we had a glorious day a bit hot/windy but calmed down and we enjoyed a sensational sunset, if wet you would have no options.
- Martin (8/5): Attention to detail….! - Great location - looking over the harbour from the bed/deck was special. No milk! We were looking forward to enjoying tea and coffee in the morning overlooking the harbour. Unfortunately because we had no milk we had to forgo the opportunity.
What made it worse was the hosts blamed the no milk as a staff issue! A bad workman blames his tools a poor host blames the staff.
- Dale (1/5): No place to stay at - Nothing the place wasn’t available hasn’t been for 8 month and you advertise it 🙃 Nothing you took my money for a place that didn’t exist
- Leala (4/5): Lovely view and outdoor areas. Awkward layout of rooms - none connected internally. Not great value. - great view from property and one room.
golden retriever on site but was not listed on the listing.
beautiful outdoor areas to relax in none of the rooms were connected internally, you had to go outside of both bedrooms to enter the bathroom.
No internal areas to relax in other than the bedrooms.
The hosts were late at sending check in details so had to wait at the property for 45-60 minutes for the details to be sent despite attempting to contact via phone and message the host on arrival.
Not great value for money.
- Jasmine (10/5): Exceptional - Brulee, we want to come back just to visit her
- Melanie (8/5): Yes we would stay there again - Loved the quirkiness of the place and loved the location. Clean and tidy The bed in the front water room was very uncomfortable and both rooms were extremely hot. We were given one fan for both rooms and unfortunately it was extremely loud when turned on. We also couldn't open the windows as there wasn't any fly screens and there were a few mozzies around - if there were fly screens, then we could get some fresh air. Not a great place if it is raining as you have to go outside to get to the kitchen and then again for the bathroom. However, it is a very quirky place and so much better than staying in any hotel.
- Ri (5/5): We would have been more comfortable in a tent - A really nice location on the water in a lovely suburb. Short walk to some spectacular harbour bridge views.
Beds were pretty good. There is a lovely deck to sit on and enjoy the harbour. A street parking permit was provided. Three kayaks were available (that could be launched from the park across the road) which seemed like a fun activity, but we didn’t end up using them.
The Golden Retriever that shares the outdoor space is adorable. We absolutely loved her! It gives me no pleasure to leave a negative review, but unfortunately I cannot recommend this property in its current state. Previous reviews do not describe most of the issues that I think potential guests have a right to be aware of - except the very narrow steep staircase that would be unsuitable for many people.
One bedroom and the bathroom are in the bottom of the main house - with no connecting door between bedroom and bathroom - and the other bedroom and the kitchenette are in a very basic, somewhat dilapidated shed on the waterfront.
Both bedrooms were HOT at night (January). A single floor fan was provided in the house room but it was too noisy to sleep with. There is no cooling system anywhere, no ceiling fans, and bizarrely, no fly wire to be seen anywhere. So although there is cool air coming off the harbour, you cannot open the windows or doors to allow any air in, without being attacked by mosquitoes. In fact, even with doors and windows shut in the jetty room, our kids were bitten all over by mosquitoes as they slept, because there are gaps around the windows, large drilled holes through the walls and even some gaps around the edge of the floor (under the bed) where mosquitoes could come in.
After the first night, we promptly requested a mosquito net to protect us from the onslaught because insect repellent just wasn’t sufficient. This was promised to us by our hosts - who seem like lovely people - but unfortunately the net did not materialise that day or the following day, nor was there any communication to explain why. We ended up buying our own mosquito net so that our final night in the jetty room was bearable. Although the constant aeroplane traffic meant that with open windows, ear plugs were needed. The curtains do not block the light, so eye shades are also advisable.
The gate, bedroom and bathroom doors cannot be closed without locking and must be opened with a key.
- Rolfe (10/5): Unique, private, and very special! The most spectacular setting. Comfy and cosy rooms. - Loved the harbour front setting. Spectacular.
Rooms were characterful and comfy.
Host was lovely! Access is very narrow and very steep. Would be difficult with large bags.
I wasn’t aware that the rooms were separate (one in the main house, one in the boat house) - not a negative, but I just didn’t expect it!
There were party boats going past until about 10pm which made it a little noisy, but that’s just the time of year (we stayed in December)
- Anonymous (10/5): Waterfront bliss - Exceptional view and lovely accommodating hosts. Beautiful little spot right on the water. Thank you for a great stay!
- Ken (9/5): Superb -
