Guest Reviews
- Thomas (8/5): This town features as a stage leg on the Via de la Plata cycling route from Seville to Gijon. - This is a very spacious traditional Spanish village property. It was in excellent condition and served our purposes very well. We were cyclists embarking on a lengthy cycling trip and stayed overnight in this small village. We found a place to have a reasonable evening meal. One of our party enjoyed walking up to the castle for the views of the local countryside, which was very nice. We had to get off on an early start in the morning so we did not really use the facilities other than to sleep there and have a shower. It was a good place to store our bikes. We had a slight problem obtaining the code for the door key box. Eventually with a little bit of difficulty in using my very basic Spanish, I was able to contact the owner and get the code. The owner could not have been more helpful.

- Ivan (10/5): Exceptional - I arrived around 20:00 at the day of Apagón 2025. No internet, no cellular connection, no electricity.
First I was unable to find the apartments — I didn't make a pin on the map before the electricity cut off. People from albergue helped me to locate the streen. On the street I met another person who helped me to find the house.
I was unable to receive the code for the keylocker, but the neighbor found the owner of the house – she lives nearby.
The house is large, has patio. Water heater is on gas, so you can use shower with no electricity 😄
I was able to live my bicycle in a spacious entrance hall.
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Good house has everything I needed
- Stefan (3/5): We wished we had stayed in the Albergue instead. - Easy check-in
Host reacted fast to fixable problem (wrong room locked/unlocked)
Clean bathroom The whole place smelled like cold smoke and a day later our clothes still smelled like it
Oven not working, bad toaster
Dark place, Windows hard to open
Toilet lid does not stay open
Dead animals on display
- Paul (4/5): Frustrating experience and not worth the price. - It was clean and dry, once we got in. Many thanks to the cleaners who let us in. Even though I sent, via booking.com, an arrival time, there was no one to meet us there. No arrival instructions on B.com either, something they must insist on in future. I rang the owner, who did not speak English. I heard the word “WhatsApp” during the call, so I guessed he wanted me to WhatsApp him. I did, and waited for instructions. Then the cleaners arrived! To be honest, I don’t think we had been expected, even though it was a firm booking and the fee had been taken.
The cleaner gave me a key. I had to WhatsApp the owner again for the key box code in order to leave the key when we left. Never saw the owner, we never had our passports checked, never asked if everything was okay by the owner.
I am appalled that the owner is on the ball enough to get his fee, but cannot look after his guests. Booking.com must take some of the blame for not ensuring checkin instructions have been given. Nothing in the house in the way of basic toiletries and kitchen cloths or washing up liquid was left. Things that you would normally expect in a Let at that price.
