Guest Reviews

- Włodzimierz (1/5): - Syf i smród!
- Alexandra (10/5): Fantastic and exactly what I needed - The staff really makes you feel at home. I needed a little quiet getaway alone surrounded by nature, and this was even better than expected. It is cosy, quiet, natural, but still super close to the city.
It is not a 5-star place, but it is hygenic, authentic and ideal for those who seek a place to disconnect from the business of life and reconnect with nature.
Accommodation: Cutest tiny house I've been in! It's built oud of wood and the wind comes through, so don't expect a modern hotel room. But if you're willing to see the vision of what they created here, you definitely appreciate every little thing! There is no hot water, which is overrated in this type of climate.
Food: The fish I ate, BEST EVER. Such good flavour. Breafkast is limited but still good!
Location: 15 minutes away from the mainland with a boat they arranged for me. Then, it's just a 2 minute walk.
Vibe: Natural, cosy, cute and something I want my dream-garden to look like!
Staff: THE BEST

- Diana Carolina (10/5): Maravillosa experiencia.

- Leanne Der (10/5): An unforgettable island escape defined by exceptional hospitality in a serene location. - From the very moment we booked our stay at Tiny Village on Isle de Terre Bomba, our experience felt truly unique and special. The communication from Akil, before we even arrived, was nothing short of excellent. All communications were prompt, clear, and incredibly helpful. The smallest details were handled with care, including arranging a seamless airport pickup (and later numerous transfers to and from the mainland), which made our arrival completely stress-free.
When we finally arrived, the welcome was awesome. It was incredibly warm and genuine, more like being greeted by an old friend than checking into a hotel. What set this stay apart was Akil and his staff's willingness to go above and beyond in every possible way. Knowing we were arriving late, Akil even offered to have a chef available so we wouldn’t have to worry about finding food after the long journey. That level of thoughtfulness set the tone for everything else that followed.
Throughout our stay, Akil took the time to connect with us and shared fantastic recommendations for Cartagena, which became highlights of our trip. Whether it was hidden gems, local spots, or must-see experiences, his insight made exploring the city so much richer. But beyond Akil's recommendations, and what really made the difference was how kind and engaged he was, always happy to chat, swap travel stories, and make us feel completely at home. Akil's energy is absolutely infectious. Akil is a lovely human being, positive, attentive, and genuinely passionate about creating an unforgettable experience for his guests. It’s rare to encounter someone who holds themselves to such a high standard of customer service excellence while still making every interaction feel natural, personal and heartfelt. Not applicable!
- Mumbi (9/5): - Beautiful location with a warm, welcoming staff. Some beautiful and quieter beaches nearby but it was lovely just to stay in the village surroundings. You do need to plan to get to and fro Cartegena, but the staff are incredibly helpful. Would happily come back for another visit.
- Cathy (4/5): - Friendly and very nice staff
Cute and warm atmosphere The Bed was unstable, the leg kept coming off when sleeping
Cleanliness bad
Sharps rocks on the step of the edge
Bugs in the pool
Gaps in the building so mosquitoes and bugs could come in anytime
The door couldn't close properly
No beach area attached to the property

- Scott (10/5): INCREDIBLE - Home in a different world !!! welcomed and treated likefamily from the second we arrived.
The whole team from back of house to front of house along with the complex owner, could not do enough for us to ensure that we had the best time possible.
This place is not about luxury or fine dining, it's about enjoying a cultural change without feeling out of your comfort zone.
We arrived as strangers and left as friends, so much that we have since left and currently in Guatape, heading to Rio (Brazi) But have considered doing a U-turn just to spend a couple of more nights with all of them.
Isreal - this man has the biggest, kindest heart you will ever come across
Maloi - just the best bundle of fun, so helpful and caring
Tia - always smiling and cooked food with love from the heart
Nana - this is the name we gave her !!!! So lovely- like having your Nana/Grandma with you
Tia's daughter - so pleasant and served us with a smile everyday
This place is not your top end hotel, loving feeling and generosity was top end.
This Place is not your top end hotel, but? loving feeling and generosity was top end
Our daughter Phoebe has said
That's the difference, you can have nothing, but everything
At the minute, we are experiencing everything but nothing
Thanks to all at Tiny Village for giving us a memory we will never forget.
Scott, Gemma and Phoebe. No local shops or snacks
- Scott (10/5): Home in a different world !!! welcomed and treated likefamily from the second we arrived. The whole team from back of ho - The vibe, the staff, the uniqueness No local shops or snacks
- Anna (10/5): - The staff, especially Israel was amazing!!! When we arrived my partner had a stomach flu and Israel was so caring and thoughtful. All the staff where exceptional! The island has lots of potential! With some stronger leadership direction this island can be amazing.
- Marcella (10/5): - Had an amazing stay. Was just off the beach, but absolutely amazing. Staff was great and helped us with everything. Even helped us arrange daytrips. Was always there (also on whatsapp). Would definitely recommend! Would come back again!
- Lindomar (10/5): Maloi and her team was just amazing, made us feel home. Highly recommended -
- Paul (7/5): -
- Ra (10/5): - Amazing location! It's on an island, so you feel the peace and relaxation the moment you arrive, but the boat ride there is only like seven mins from the main city so we took advantage and went back into the city almost every day. Did tours in the city during the day, came back in the evening to relax and some of the days we even went back at night. We felt like we had our own VIP resort and boat! haha.. What an experience!
- Stefany (10/5): This hotel is a hidden gem. It felt like a fairytale - This hotel is a hidden gem. Warm staff, clean rooms, cozy vibe, and we truly felt like
family here.
- Christopher (10/5): Perfect amount of island seclusion with city access - Perfect balance between comfort, price, and service. Spotless rooms, excellent location, and the kindest people. Thank you Maloi, Tía, and Fernando for making our stay unforgettable.
- Stefanie (10/5): Can’t wait to tell everyone I know! Would love to return! - We only stayed one night but wished it had been longer! The hotel is so peaceful, clean, and the staff so kind. Tia’s food was the highlight of the stay — unforgettable flavor!
- Jamica (10/5): There is really no place in the world like Tiny Village Cartagena! - Tía’s food is unforgettable! Every meal felt like home-cooked island comfort! The staff is caring and the facilities are clean and well maintained! Our little family was treated like VIPs! Also, the prices are very fair - this place is highly recommended in my book!
- Kiki (10/5): Little quiet paradise away from the busy city - Absolutely loved our stay here, we were to only ones and got super treatment. The cottage is so cute. Amazing food too! It’s warm, no AC, but lots of wind in the evening and totally worth it for the experience.
- Adam (10/5): -
- Villa (9/5): -
- Daniela (7/5): - Staff was very kind and helpful. The houses are very beautiful. Bed and pillows are very comfy. The villa is very nice and the surroundings as well! The food offer was very limited, with the same few options every day and sometimes things were not available anymore. The houses are not very private as some corners do not have curtains and are very visible from outside.
The cost of the water is 20000cop per day per person which is fine, but sold in individual bottles which is not very friendly with the environment.
- Yash (6/5): Uncomfortable Stay! - The property looks good and has a good sit out area. The property is not located by the beach and does not offer sea views, which was disappointing. The room cleanliness was unacceptable, we found someone else’s shorts left behind the cushions.
There were an excessive number of mosquitoes and no mosquito nets provided. Combined with the heat and an ineffective fan, this made it very difficult to sleep. The mattress was also uncomfortable, further worsening the experience.
The pool was dirty and had to be cleaned only after we specifically asked. Overall, there is very little to do at the property, and the lack of maintenance and comfort made our stay unpleasant.
Food and drinks are average but expensive.
Thank god we stayed just for one night!
- MARIA CAMILA (10/5): -
- Norika Lucia (10/5): - Very cute villas build with reused material.
- Kamila (9/5): Place that you will remember - There are places that you just stay in, and there are places that you remember. Tiny Village is definitely the second type! From the moment I start chatting with Maloi, I knew its gonna be a great stay! She was super helpful, very friendly and helped us organise everything! The moment we step our foot on the island and saw her with a kind smile, we knew its gonna be awesome! The place is just amazing - colourful villas with everything you need inside, and with an amazing view on the water! Sorely does a great job ensuring that everything is super clean and neat! In the morning Tia welcomes you with a big smile and even bigger breakfast which is super delicious! Fernando is the most helpful guy and its so cool to see him always smiling! Everyone is extremely welcoming and the facilities are just awesome! Words can't do the justice so I highly encourage you to come and visit;)
- LUIS EDUARDO (8/5): ACOGEDOR -
- Julio (10/5): Agradable - Amabilidad Todo bien
- Mikaela (10/5): Can't wait to repeat this visit - Tiny Village Cartagena is a breath of fresh air. A tiny oasis tucked into nature. I had been feeling burnt out from the everyday grind and my visit was the perfect escape. The design of the space is thoughtful and artistic, with Cartagena's history coming alive in the details of the design. I was inspired to create and to fully rest. What struck me even more was the genuine kindness and warmth of the staff. I feel like I made great friends and I can't wait to come back to getaway again.
- Yanith (10/5): Descanso y confort.
- Zaakira (10/5): Beautiful property. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. - Beautifully maintained place with a calm and safe environment. Maloi was always so Attentive, and Fernando helped us with a smile whenever we needed something. Truly welcoming.
- Augusto (10/5): Una gran experiencia! Definitivamente voy a volver .
- Candice (7/5): Good - Tiny Village is a truly charming and peaceful retreat, offering a welcome escape from the hustle of the city while being just a 10-minute boat ride away. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the exceptional staff. Maloi, the manager, and Tia, the cook, go above and beyond to provide top-tier service. Their attentiveness and dedication ensure that every guest feels well cared for. Unfortunately, the experience was less enjoyable due to the water pricing and the unfair exchange rate. While food and beverage prices were standard for Cartagena, the exchange rate applied was unreasonable (e.g., $20 was charged at 88,000 COP instead of around 81,000 COP). Water is also a mandatory purchase, with limited options: $2 for 500ml or $5 per person per night, even if you don’t stay the full day. Additionally, some mattresses were worn out and lost their shape, making them uncomfortable for couples.
- Tobias (9/5): Superb - Exceptional accommodation - small cottages designed with a lot of charm and attention to detail, hosts with a lot of commitment and a quiet location in the mangroves away from the noisy city.
- Sara (10/5): Unique and a true retreat, the staff can’t do enough for you, if you need trips planned, use them. - One of the most original and fabulous places we’ve stayed in Colombia, it’s only 10minute a from the chaos and high rises of Cartaghana but it felt worlds away! Te staff. Can’t do enough for you. You arrive as guests and leave a friends, we can’t recommend it enough! We liked it all! Loved the boat collecting us from the main land and the staff asking if We needed anything from The mainland when they were going over. Tiny village- don’t change!
