• Sameeullah (9/5): Decent Property - Property management very responsive. Communication was really quick and effective. Earlier hiccup with our stay was righted without delay. Apartment was clean and relatively modern. Location is good, only 15 minutes walk away from town centre. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to rebook this property for our future visits to Grindelwald. N/A

• Marina (8/5): Owner of the apartment need to provide enough bed linen since this is a crucial for the business they are doing. - Location and communication with the person in charge was good. We have arrived as a family of four, but we got just three single duvets to cover during the night. Also, double bed is approximately 1,2m high, but without any safety fence so we didn’t feel comfortable to sleep this way. After we asked for the fence and for one more duvet we were explained there are not any spare duvet or safety fence so we need to handle with three duvets and without safety fence…

• Polina (9/5): Quiet apartment in the middle of Grindelwald - It is a pretty quiet location, but close to everything, like restaurants and cable car stations. 🚉 It was a little bit too warm to sleep but there was unusual heat in Europe when we travelled at the end of June.

• Martina (10/5): Thanks for the stay :) - The property was perfect for our family of 4. We spend four wonderful days with our 9 and 11 year old kids in the area. The ski bus was in easy walking distance (even for my kids with their ski boots on). The flat had everything we needed, kitchen was well equipped with essentials in terms of dishes or things like oil, spices etc. The view from the balcony is beautiful, (and you can also block out the light for a good night of sleep). The host Martina is the most responsive person ever, if we had any questions, we got her answer instantly. They even shipped us our clothes, that we had forgotten. So, over all, highly recommended. was all good
• Kelly (10/5): We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chalet Ribi, the accommodation was perfect and we recommend! - We loved so much about this property! The apartment was perfect for our family of 3, the apartment had everything we needed and the kitchen was very well stocked. We cooked many meals in the home which was very helpful. It was very clean, modern and the view from the balcony of the Eiger was stunning! The radiant heat in the bathroom floor was a nice bonus. The wifi free was fast! The location was great, we could walk to a bus stop to catch a bus to the Eiger Express gondola (a 10 minute bus ride that dropped us right at the Grindelwald terminal where the gondola was) and we could even walk a sort distance from the apartment to the First gondola. The bus was free as part of renting this apartment. We could walk from the apartment to anywhere we wanted to go in town. There were lots of restaurants, a Coop grocery story and shops. We did take advantage of the half off entry to the sports center and enjoyed using the heated pool. We wished we should stay longer and will definitely plan another visit to Grindelwald and book this apartment!
• Rajkumar (9/5): An Amazing stay - the facilities, the location, the view, assistance of the incharge person whenever we needed. They were very patient in replying to our queries. Incomplete information of the person who was in charge. However, I was able to contact them whenever I required.
• Tetsunori (3/5): Good location but poor management - We did not receive the code to open the safety box that contained the key to the apartment. We got the code after making a number of calls to the apartment owner through the help of the manger of a nearby hotel.

• Sophie (10/5): Excellent location with stunning mountain views! - Chalet Ribi was a great choice! It had a great location, walking distance to the town and restaurants. The balcony had a stunning view of the mountains. The apartment was beautifully decorated and the hosts were very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend!
• Aqilah (7/5): Not bad - Chalet is fully equipped. View is good. Near to the gondola to make your way up for toboggan ride. Location. If you taking train, its a 20 mins walk up and down hills. Bus takes forever in this area. So high chances of lots of walking all the time. Very tiring if you have big luggages. The bed in the room is too high. Not safe if you have small kids. We tried sleeping in the room but feels suffocated due to the height of the bed so we slept outside on the couch instead. Grindelwald area has a lot of flies and mosquitoes so expect A LOT of mosquitoes in the house during summer especially. Bring your repellent even for adults!

• Kevin (10/5): Quiet and Beautiful Honeymoon Getaway! - We came to Switzerland for our honeymoon and stayed at Chalet Ribi while we were in Grindelwald. Prior to arrival, the host was easy to talk with, responsive, and helpful. The space was clean, there was a separate bedroom, and the views from the balcony (onto the Metterberg peak, we think) were gorgeous. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. For example, I used the tea kettle and mugs every day. The water pressure in the bathroom was great and the water was hot. The bathroom floor was even somewhat heated and cozy. We came during the offseason, but Grindelwald was packed for some reason. We were pleasantly surprised that our building was quiet and peaceful. It felt isolated, in a good and safe way. The sauna on the balcony was incredible, especially after a long day of hiking. We loved the beautiful church bells, and on Sunday, they played for a full 15 minutes -- it was a magical sendoff! If you're looking for places to eat, please go to Hotel Alpenblick around the corner! We went there THREE TIMES during our stay, and it was cozy, delicious, and left out bodies feeling good. Get their soups, "Cocotte Alpenblick," and their warm chocolate tart. We also loved their seasonal menu -- they served a lot of local game. Around the area, we went hiking from the Pfingstegg gondola to Berghaus Bäregg, but the cablecar was not covered by the Jungfrau pass. First Mountain is nearby, and there are a lot of popular hikes up there -- we went to Bachalpsee Lakes -- but we LOVED the mountain carts and highly recommend. We also had an easy time taking the train and other cablecars to go hiking further away in other areas. Grindelwald was a good center, especially since we liked the town's personality better than Wengen's, Murren's, or Interlaken's. Overall, Chalet Ribi felt cozy and romantic and was perfect for us, both as an accommodation and as a center in Grindelwald. Our biggest issue was that the internet was not strong enough to stream videos. We tried resetting the router multiple times -- it just wasn't a fast connection, so don't anticipate being on your phone at night. The location was great for us, but the buses don't run all evening, so if you come back from the train late, you have a 20-minute walk home. This was one of the more expensive places in the area for this level of accommodation, but the value felt appropriate. We were surprised to learn of a tourist tax in Switzerland -- this isn't included in the price listed on Booking.com. It comes out to about 4%. We had to pay it here and at our hotel in Wengen. Small things that didn't affect our review: I should have brought a travel humidifier, as the air was quite dry and buying one in Switzerland was over $70; better hair and face shampoo is a must; the step to get in the shower was quite high; and the pillows were very flat for our tastes. There's also a creepy monkey lamp in the living room, but we just turned it around.
• Nofar (10/5): Beautiful place in Grindelwald! - Beautiful apartment in great location in Grindelwald, the apartment is well equipped with everything you need. The hostess very nice and help us when we needed. Highly recommended place and we will definitely come back again when we’ll be in Grindelwald
