I stayed one night before the cruise and two nights after. At first I stayed in a room on the second floor, and after the cruise I stayed in the top-floor room on the third floor. That room was especially comfortable — it had a balcony with a beautiful ocean view. The location was also perfect. It only took about five minutes on foot to reach the waterfront and the town center. The airport was extremely close as well — basically right there when you arrive — but surprisingly it was still very quiet and peaceful. Nothing
• Chris (10/5): An absolutely wonderful place to stay! - This is a fantastic place to stay in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno! Spacious, clean room and a very nice breakfast (for US$7 per person) served on a large patio. The place is a bit set back from town so it is quiet and yet only a 5 minute walk to downtown. They also have a space if you want to do your own laundry by hand and lines to hang it up. Beds were very comfortable and staff helpful regarding tourist information about the town and the island. Can't recommend this place highly enough - we were sad to leave!

The 2 adult daughters have great English and are delightful. Comfortable, clean, relaxing space. A block to the waterfront where a Blue Footed Booby is waiting every day. Sometimes more but always 1. And sea lions and pelicans feeding to the right and continue for 2 blocks for restaurants. Can't recommend it enough. Nothing.

• Deborah (10/5): A lovely, peaceful place to stay just on the edge of town. - We had a room with 3 beds for 2 people, so it was very spacious. The rooms all have coffee and tea and a refrigerator, plus the usual. The breakfast was good: eggs, bread, fruit, juice, and hot drinks. The Hostal is very clean, quiet and friendly. There is always someone around to help. They can arrange tours, and will also take you to the plane or ferry. I recommend staying here. The water in the shower was tricky to regulate to the right temperature, and walking up to the hostel you go past a small area that is messy. Don’t worry, Hostal Romy is spotless.

They also had a nice space for rinsing and drying snorkeling gear, etc. and just had a very well designed space overall that gave each guest privacy. We would definitely stay there again! The staff were extremely kind and friendly, the rooms were spacious and modern, and the bathroom facilities were very good. The hostel is family run, and everyone was welcoming and helpful. You can reach the city center in just a few minutes. The host was also very kind and helped us book boat tours such as the 360 tour as well as ferry tickets at reasonable prices. Overall, the service was excellent with friendly and helpful staff. I can highly recommend this place to everyone.

• Janneke (9/5): Recomended for your stay in San Cristobal - Excellent guesthouse with lovely owners, for a very reasonable price. The location is perfect, close to the airport, the pier and city center. We arrived quite late, with a last minute reservation, but were welcomed very friendly. The ladies immediately brought us drinking water, fruits and cookies. The room is excellent. Very spacious, nice beds, good shower. As a service, they dropped us off at the airport when it was time to leave. We would definitely stay here again, when in San Cristobal. On the first night, there was no hot water in the shower. As it turned out, they ran out of gas for the boiler. Because it was really late, it could only be fixed the next day. Though we don't like cold showers, we didn't think it was that a big deal. After all, we arrived very late and last minute.

It only takes 10 minutes to walk to the other end of the waterfront, but will probably take you longer as you stop to look at the animals! It is a 5 minute ride to the airport (the Hostal will provide you a shuttle to the airport). It is a 5 minute walk into town. The Hostal is very well-maintained and homey. Perfect place to stay after a cruise, or for a longer stay in San Cristobal!

• Isaacs (10/5): A lovely place to stay and explore San Cristobal. - Lovely large room with good size bathroom, access to spacious terrace. Ronnie was so welcoming and helpful with taking us to and from the airport and tell us all the things to do. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels, water etc. Location really good. Would definitely recommend. Nothing!

• Tamar (9/5): Good stay - Friendly owner. Good layout in apartment. A few extra minutes walk from main area but quiet.
• David (10/5): Best place to stay in the whole islands!!! - It was súper clean. Best ac so far in our trip. Great people. Very close to malecón. We got a free ride to Airport. All I can say is look nowhere else this is the place to stay at San Cristóbal.

• Gabriela (9/5): Amazing service and comfortable room - The service was amazing. The room spatious and super clean, the bed comfortable. Really a good experience. You get water for free and the possibility to wash and dry your own clothes. The walk from the airport to the hostal. It is ok if you have a packbag but not so good if you are carrying a big luggage with wheels, as part of the road is with gravel.

• Ana-marie (9/5): Superb - Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were lovely and really helpful, and were able to assist with organising tours. Location is a little further out, but was very quiet. Great WiFi. Thought the breakfast was a bit pricey for what it was, especially as the coffee offered was just instant coffee which was provided in the room anyway. Shower temperature was a bit hard to control.

• Alexander (9/5): Quality stay at a fraction of the cost - I liked the location right near downtown but away from all the noise. The beds were comfortable and the AC was nice and cool. The breakfast was good too There were a few windows that couldn't be covered, which let in light, making the room difficult to make dark. Nothing a sleep mask can't solve.
• Susan (10/5): Exceptional - The location at the edge of town was quiet and just a short walk to the action of the town. Nothing negative to say.
